Krunchy cries again, "I said there is some tentacle monster coming towards us! No time to talk!" He points adamantly towards the direction where the voice came from while hoping from left to right, spoons rattling frantically.

When morgan looks at the potion he gets, a surprised tone comes out of him. "Do you know how valuable this is?"

OOC: is this the potion i get and already drinked? Or is this a extra Potion that i Put in my inventory?

As the sound increases, you can begin to make out a large mass coming from inside the cave. There seem to be slender tentacles protruding in many directions, each one with a small orbs attached at the ends.

As the creature begins to enter the light of whats left of the campfire, you see a large, glassy, milk-white eye inset in a deteriorating socket. The flesh hanging off in sheets exposing muscle, icor,  and sinew beneath. The beast enters the light, exposing the tentacles protruding from its carcass have eyes at the end, all cloudy and decomposing. It's gaping maw, filled with dagger-like teeth emits a disgusting smell that fills the cave.

"ENJOY YOUR LAST BREATHS, ADVENTURERS!" the creature says, floating above the ground.

“A trophy for my wall!” Rey roars.

Xander will back up his speed, slinging his light crossbow. Taking aim at the undead beholder then firing.

ooc: how far away is it from us? (More importantly, from Ban)

OOC: The Beholder is about 40 feet away from you. And Xander can totally do that!

Krunchy: You think back on your cookbook and remember something about beholder kabobs. The recipe mentions that while delicious, the peril required to enjoy them was definately not worth it. But should you find yourself confronted by a beholder, why not make the best of a bad situation. Unfortunately, there isn’t much mentioned about undead beholders or Kasharin, but it’s safe to say they they have powers similar to the live ones. That is, that they can unleash powerful rays from thier eyes which do all manner of unsavory things such as petrification, sleep, madness, and even disentigration. By the looks of the creature, it appears that most of the hard plating has rotted enough to make melee attacks more effective.

The arrow finds its mark in the side of the Beholder, but it takes no notice of the pain and continues to close the distance between you!

OOC: sorry, I forgot to let everyone know to add 134 XP to their characters for defeating the creatures at the mouth of the cave!

Krunchy looks on in horror at the beholder, but can't pass up the opportunity to have chicken fried beholder eye stalk so he moves to the left side of the Beholder about 25' away from it (basically off to one side so I'm not directly in front of it.)

Krunchy takes out his pepper and throws some at it!
