Name: Ammus Qelunax Race: Dragonborn (White) Class: Ranger (Gonna go for Tasha's BM archetype) Alignment: NG Backstory: Raised by a nomadic people, Ammus is a hero-for-hire, taking jobs to help others.(Will flesh out more when learn more)
Brought up by a single parent and having a younger sister Delshae, I was the man of the house. I Loved telling stories to keep my sister occupied. Others would listen in occasionally to my "tall" tales. Shortly after my 13th birthday, I went to a local traveling carnival at the behest of my sister. They had a story telling contest and 1st prize was 5 silver. While I was away, my mother and sister stayed home attending the house. At the end of the day, I walked away with 3 silver for second place. When I arrived home, the house was in ash as was the neighbors. There was an attack by a local band of cut-throats. My mother lay dead by the cattle pen and my sister was no where to be found. With his last breath, the neighbor had told me the men had taken my sister. I ran to the city to find her, but everywhere I turned i was shunned, pushed, beaten. I fell in with another group my age that called themselves the Wolf Fang. Their leader was an older girl who went by the name of Scarlet Willow. So it was to be, that for the next 7 years, I made myself a home in the cities underground. Learning the trade and craft of thievery, forgery and a lot more. By time I was 20, I was Willows right hand man. I made rules and I made enemies. But I also turned well to do men and woman into spies.
To this day, I still look for those responsible for my mothers death and sisters disappearance.
Name: Harkaze (https://ddb.ac/characters/38751237/OajcsT) Race: Human Class: Rogue Alignment: Neutral Backstory: Harkaze was originally a Tinkers apprentice but in the course of his apprenticeship he found he had a knack for figuring out how to get in things that other people couldn't. People brought him things like a lock in which the key had been lost, a safe in which the combination had been forgotten. His reputation as a fixer of locks grew and captured the attention of the Thieves Guild who realized what a valuable asset he'd be if they could persuade him to join their ranks. [still fleshing it out but there is the start]
Name: Atallia Race: Wood Elf Class: Monk Alignment: CG Backstory: Raised in near captivity by a thieves' guild, Atallia escaped with the help of a gnome monk who taught her about using her mind and body to their fullest potential. She wanders the world looking to balance the bad she did for the guild.
Name:Zaeleous Sultuvanus Race: (High)Sun Elf Class: Cleric (Life) Alignment: Lawful Neutral (Subject to some change as story plays out) Backstory(flexible and subject to change):
Before the call to adventure, Zaeleous drifted through life without much thought or care for where it might take him, or any goals in mind beyond satisfying immediate concerns at the time. To him, it seemed even almost as if the deities fate and luck would make certain his life stayed uneventful, as he'd always find reason to leave well before disaster struck those homes.
Then one day and without any real warning faded scars of past lives and strange marking appeared on his body, dispelling a strange malady of spirit and mind that Zaeleous never really realized he'd been under for so long. But while some memories remained foggy, enough had return to kindled desire to remove himself from the old trappings of his life so far, and seek out answers in the greater world.

Backstory: When he was just a hatchling, Screech’s flock was hired by a monastery to make multiple copies of all of their manuscripts. Because of the length of time needed to complete this task, Screech grew up in the monastery. Brother Clavor, the monk who oversaw the kenku’s project, spoke in a very high pitched voice. When Screech first started to repeat things that Brother Clavor said, he repeated them in a slightly higher pitch than even Brother Clavor spoke. This of course was a source of amusement to the other monks, who soon took the young kenku under wing.
As the young bird grew up, he began to imitate the monks in a lot of their activities, learning their martial arts and helping out in their infirmary. The various monks encouraged him to learn these activities, and began to teach Screech many of the skills they knew. As the young kenku matured, he continued to repeat what he’d heard back in a slightly higher pitch than the original speaker. As he became able to assist in copying the manuscripts owned by the monastery, Screech started helping his tribe out with that task. One of the manuscripts Screech copied told the story of a kenku named Dragon Roar. Dragon Roar was able to undertake a series of tasks to prove that he was worthy of having the species' curses removed.
At the end of this tale, Dragon Roar recovered both his wings and his voice, although the manuscript that Screech copied did not say what entity reversed the curse. Screech has become obsessed with proving himself worthy of having the curse removed. When the abbot requests that Screech deliver some of the copied manuscripts to a library in Everwinter, the young kenku was more than willing to undertake this task. With a list of places mentioned in the story of Dragon Roar, Screech headed toward Everwinter, eager to see what the future had in store for him. After delivering the manuscripts, the young kenku's path took him to the village of Oakhurst.
Name: Fritz Applebaum Race: Lightfoot Halfling Class: Warlock (Hexblade) Alignment: Lawfull Evil Backstory: My wife Josefine, who I loved with all my life, died many years ago. I was devastated, lost all hope, a wreck. All I wanted was to be with my wife again. I tried taking my own life, but in the process, when seeing the light, a slow and whispering voice woke me up. Promising me my wife back, but not in a flesh form, only in a way she could talk to me, love me in words, so we could fulfil our destiny together. The voice promised me that if I fulfilled our destiny she would came back to me in blood and flesh, but life energy was needed for this. I didnt care in what form she came, just as long if I could talk to her. She came in the form of a weapon, a Great Maul, she talks sweet words to me, how she loves me and that she cant wait to be back in flesh and blood again next to me. The only thing she needs for me are some sacrifices here and there. Every month she keeps asking more. But it is worth that price, because she is my wife and I love her.
Backstory: Nant was raised to privilege with many opportunities for higher learning and great talent as well. This was haulted suddenly when his parents endured terrible financial and social setbacks. Nant is good natured but must make a new way in the world after suffering from the financial difficulties imposed by the poor money management of his parents and siblings. Through no fault of his own Nant is being blamed for and grouped with the errors of his household. He vows to bring honor back to the name of Phesbom and is entering the world to make a better name for himself. He is motivated to show those who shun him that he is not a Phesbom miscreant but rather a gnome of renown. He is determined to show that he is one to trusted and depended upon in hard times.
Backstory: Nono was thrust through a portal in the Fey and ended up stranded in this plane. He's been working ever since trying to find a way back to the Fey. ((Backstory can be tweaked to better fit the campaign.))

Backstory:Gray Breath was rescued by pilgrims of the church of Tyr after he was found crying as a baby in the decimated remains of his village after it had been pillaged and burnt by a marauding band of nomads.
Brought up in the sacred grounds of a monastery dedicated to the Lawful Deity Tyr, Gray was trained from a early age as a Paladin to be used as a tool of might and justice by the Apostle of Tyr.
Backstory: Caefarn was born in a peaceful town where not much happened until orcs threatened the town. Caefarn, being a great archer, decided to fight for the town. Caefarn was ordered to go to the village of Oakhurst to help out with whatever is going on there because rumors told of orcs threatening the town in Caefarn's village.
Backstory: Third son of a high family, Cormin was often overlooked. His two older brothers would constantly fight for recognition to earn the family leadership position when father no longer runs things. Cormin leaves his cushy life to go and prove his worth without his family's connections.
Character Race: Forest Gnome
Something I should know about your character: He loves inventing new things but especially in strange ways with unique solutions sometimes to problems that don't even exist.

Bradene is the third child - one more than the touted "Heir and a spare" - of a minor noble family. He grew up often in the company of guards and soldiers - and some of the younger, more wayward knights of the household. He acquired the proper education for a young gentleman, but always enjoyed the rougher side of life a bit too much for the comfort of his family: Nothing too outrageous, but the occasional drunken evening or good-natured tavern brawl. Embarrassing, but not scandalous. He was eventually fostered to another noble family, but near the end of his squiring, his host was accused - accurately, it turns out - of a treasonous plot. Bradene was never accused of any wrongdoing, but he declined another foster-host, or to return to his family. Taking his arms and armor, he singed on with a notable mercenary company for a few years. He has come to realize that he does miss his home and family, but he will be damned if he returning home in anything less than glory. He has mustered out of the company to seek his fortune as an adventurer.
Backstory: I am a pirate who made a bargain with a Marrid to protect my sailing vessel from storms on the high seas in exchange for a portion of the gold and other treasures I find while pirating.
Backstory: Tarnock was a skilled warrior and healer from his hometown, a larger town called Kenalom that served a port on the coast and as a bigger market town for more expensive goods that could not be bought in the smaller farming towns around it. He was part of the town guard. He made some enemies among merchants who thought the taxes were too high, and those merchants framed him for assaulting one of them. Everyone who was there saw that it was framed, but the merchants bribed the officals and he had to pay a very large fine to avoid going to prison. Although the town guard still wanted him there, he legally could not be a member anymore, and has turned to mercenary work it the smaller towns nearby(such as Oakhurst).
