Diana will gather rocks to top the graves with, if there aren't enough, she helps Abrotodon directly.
After they're done Abrontodon claps Diana on the arm as they get back on the road, she shares her waterskin, " So what are your plans for the rest of the day? "
(As you lay the bodies to rest, are you removing their gear? The masks are already taken.)
((To be fair, I asked if there was anything interesting on the bodies, to which you only responded the masks... >.>))
“I take it you’re indentured.” Klopas responds quietly without changing a thing in outward appearance.
“What’s the price?”
Goran is taken aback by the directness of the question. "Um, I guess it's more a legal decree than indentured service. You see" he drops his gaze just momentarily "I may have been caught theiving, or at least trying to. And the authorities seemed to think it'd be funny for me to repay that bloated fool by being his lackey for a while." The anger now brewing he feels his face turning red. "I'm just so over it. I haven't had a chance to run though, he's always keeping me in sight. I have no idea what it would take to be free of him, other than making a run for it."
Brundt is standing with the horse, ready to continue on to the polis. Seeing Diana, his 'enlisted helper' and Abrontodon approaching Klopas, a potential source of useful information, Brundt leads his new horse over as well to see if there is an issue.
"What's the hold up?" he asks. Turning to regard Goran for the first time, Brundt sizes him up. Back to Klopas, he says, "This guy giving you trouble?"

”Nope!” Klopas responds jovially. “It seems he’s given me a business proposition.”
Klopas makes sure that last part was said loud for all those nearby to hear.
”As one of the Threeguard Merchants, It’s quite hard for me to pass up on bargain!” he says giving Brundt a sidelook.

(I also said that one of the riders had a pouch containing 20 sp and a broken shard of pottery.)
Brundt squints at Klopas, trying to assess the situation. After a moment, he clues in that there may be some kind of a deceptive performance taking place. With no reason to give Klopas away, Brundt decides to play along. "Hmm, yes. Naturally. And uh," he says more quietly. "What is this business proposition exactly?"

“Seems our friend here owns a little debt to society…” Klopas says switching back into his calm and quieter tone.
”I’m thinking we might be able gain another traveling companion…” he continues switching tone a bit. “A man of his skill set would prove quite useful.”
Klopas gives a friendly yet subtle wink to Goran.
”…and he might be so kind as to scratch our backs if we scratch his. Hard to pass up on someone in need after all…”
((Sorry for any delays and lack of detail in my posts. I am away from my normal circumstances, and using a phone versus a computer.))
Brundt's nostrils flare as understanding dawns on him. "Hmm, yes. I'd noticed you seemed to have an odd relationship with that man," Brundt subtly nudges his head towards the man behind him with whom Goran had arrived. "I am not well versed yet on the subtleties of human conduct and sensibilities, but for one man to lay claim to another's freedom seems... barbaric to me. How would you suggest we go about this?"
Quietly to Brundt, Goran replies "If it were up to me, I'd stick him where he stands". More loudly he says "I'm afraid I don't know if there's a price that would secure my release. See, I never actually took anything from him. If I'm not mistaken the magistrate must be friends with the pompous fool and this whole thing is some kind of joke." He lowers his voice again so as to speak more privately with Klopas "if you could secure my release I would be indebted. I am happy to play along with whatever ruse. Otherwise I can just try to run, but I fear that would bring trouble to you if we were caught together." He shrugs his shoulders in defeat.
Brundt tosses his mask onto the ground beside Goran. "THEIF!"he roars suddenly, loudly enough for all to hear as he pushes Goran to the ground. "You dare lay your hands on what's mine? Where I come from, I'm well within my rights to kill you, hunt down whatever filth calls himself your master, and kill him too."
Brundt turns to the onlookers, including Goran's master, and gestures to Alpheus, Diana, and Abrontodon. He bellows, "My companions and I have already slain two men here today, and this criminal scum will make three. If any of you are responsible for this slave, step forward so we can make it four. I thirst for yet more blood!"
Klopas fights back a smile before taking a surprised looking step back.
"Now now, sir! Surely the one responsible for this man will step forward..." Klopas admonished. "If he was after your mask, he probably sought mine as well!"
Klopas shoots a glance to Goran as if to say play along.
"Of course, then again...he or she might not.." Klopas reconsiders aloud. "After all, running a foul with a member of the merchant class would prove a pretty bad move for one's livelihood..."
((Once we get things worked out, yes please, Goliath, help us move on to Polis.))
((To be fair, I asked if there was anything interesting on the bodies, to which you only responded the masks... >.>))
Diana replies, "Honestly, none. I was heading to the polis to try and see if there was something I could find to put my skills to work for."

Wagner - Dragon Heist: Bards.
DM - The Old Keep
" So wine and people watching it is then.", Abrontodon grinned. " Skills? What sort of skills? Martial or do you have...hidden talents?"
"My main employable skills are martial. What talents I have otherwise, who knows?" says Diana with a wry smile.

Abrontodon follows and claps a hand on the shoulder of Klopas and Goran as she leans over between them, " Whatcha talking about?", she grinned.

Abrontodon took her hands off the others shoulders and walked back to Diana, " Private conversation, I guess.", she shrugged.
" So have you visted this polis before? Know any good eating spots?"
Brundt tosses his mask onto the ground beside Goran. "THEIF!" he roars suddenly, loudly enough for all to hear as he pushes Goran to the ground. "You dare lay your hands on what's mine?
