Beryl looks at the runes, which nobody can understand, absently tapping a foot with the tune Pru plays.
Runes. Demonic rituals. "Above and below". She frowns.
"I wonder ... I wonder if the runes are demonic. Infernal." She pauses. "Do you think maybe that scroll of Infernal Language would let us read them? I mean, it would be a shame if we used the scroll and it didn't help. But maybe?" She shakes her head.
"Well, I suppose I will, I'm tangentially related anyways"

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

While Kaladin reads and studies the scroll, Pru goes over the closed doorway, and the shelves and the rest of the small room as closely as possible, looking for a lever or spring or panel or anything to open it.
"The dials probably have nothing to do with opening the door," Pru says. "Wouldn't make a lot of sense to have a secret room with the only thing in it the code to getting back out. So even when Kaladin can understand the language and dials we might still need to find a way out."
Aranor watches Kaladin read the scroll. "It makes sense. What's above and below could refer to heaven and hell. So we've got a scroll of infernal language. That seems to refer to what is below, but what about above? The stars? Will we need to read something in celestial as well?"
The high elf seems to be musing out loud more to himself than anyone else, but he nods at Pru. "I'll see if I can find a seam or something in the wall that could be pried open perhaps or maybe there is another hidden switch."
After a few hours of searching for levers, buttons, switches, you've not turned anything up.
During the time, Kaladin studies the scroll. At times his eyes look to roll into the back of his head. At others there are slight twitches and movement that you've never noticed before.
After a bit more time, he slides the scroll down to the floor, puts his head in his hands and zones out. He looks up at the knobs, stares and looks away a moment. Turns back and stammers, "Letters. The ruins are letters."
He reaches into his pack and pulls out a charcoal stick and some paper and scrawls out the following.
OOC: I tried to hand drawn them in the previous image as best as i could.
Ooc// I mighta misunderstood. Was that the scroll of infernal language or a scroll written in infernal? Because I already knew infernal so if it's the scroll that temporarily teaches infernal I wouldn't have bothered

OOC: It is a scroll that temporarily teaches the infernal language. If that's the case then the scroll can be kept and the ruins have been decoded to letters.
Beryl shakes her head. "This obviously does something, but I don't see a connection to the door. The words I see feel more related to this maybe being the ritual room."
She pauses, looking at the others searching the room for a way to open the door. "Any ideas?"
OOC: I am going out of town and will be off the grid Friday through Monday. I will help search, or stand ready for action if someone turns the knobs to make a word.
Then, while Aranor twists the knobs to spell out dragon, Pru unrolls the one scroll with the riddle on it and reads it aloud again.
"The diamonds in the sky have names all of their own. The lord of all the gems sets firmly in the cold. Beyond the veil, above and bellow. Who dwells above? Who dwells below?"
She looks at the infernal lettering again then back down at the scroll.
"Maybe the answers to the riddle are the words we have to spell out? Anyone know the names of any stars? Or maybe the leader of the Celestials and leader of the Devils for the above and below?"

"What do y'all think?"
Pru smacks her forehead with her small hand.
"Would make sense why it was just sitting there," Pru says. "Who wants to get in touch with their inner devil?"
OOC: Who's reading the scroll? What's everyone's action for the next few hours?

Beryl plays with letters in her head.
"Well, if you use one letter from each knob, you can make some words. Dragon. Family. Shadow." She frowns. "Not sure how useful that is."

@All
Sorry for being quiet the past week - was out of town and can usually post then but this past week was a tad busy - apologies.
Pru looks at Beryl and nods.
"I've no ideas." Pru says. "Try the words. Something good might come of it."
((Sorry I've been busy as well! Should be able to most much more frequently now.))
"I don't have any better ideas either," Aranor admits, to his chagrin. "Let's try dragon."
He twists the knobs until the runes spell out the word of the scaly, winged beast. With some apprehension, he waits to see what will happen next.
