Finding nothing of note in the nursery, Zindarik joins Baldwin in the room behind the double doors. He ponders the jewelry box momentarily but decides whatever might be in it is no business of his.
"No signs of Rose or Thorn," he comments. "To the attic then?"
Zindarik circles back into the room that grants access to the stairwell leading to the attic. He carefully climbs the stairs to the point that allows him to see the layout of the floor above...
Ankita hears Zindarik mention the attic and takes a quick look in the bedroom where Baldwin was in, Perception: 13
Then decides to head up to see what Zindarik is up to and make sure no more brooms are hiding up there. The door with the heavy iron lock looks ominous and she fingers the iron key she got out of the desk earlier. “I have a key to this door, I think” she tells Zindarik,”but lets check out the other doors first. I don’t want a ghost sneaking up on us and draining the life from us as it did Summer.”
Ankita - This dust-choked room contains a slender bed, a nightstand, a small iron stove, a writing desk with a stool, an empty wardrobe, and a rocking chair. A smiling doll in a lacy yellow dress sits in the northern window box, cobwebs draping it like a wedding veil.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ankita goes into the room and checks out the writing desk and nightstand, Investigation: 17
Then she sees the doll in the corner and says, "This must be Rose's! She'll be so happy to see it when we find her," And Ankita picks it up and puts it in her pack to give Rose when they find her.
Baldwin surveys the room and sees the jewelry box. Baldwin has always had a deep love for shiny things and figures he better take a look and see if there is something worthy of adding to his collection.
The jewelry box on the vanity is made of silver with gold filigree (worth 75 gp). It contains three gold rings (worth 25 gp each) and a thin platinum necklace with a topaz pendant (worth 750 gp)
Baldwin feels some guilt about stealing from the house, but he is so enthralled by the shiny items that he simply can't control his urges and takes the lot, box and all! Fine additions to his collection indeed!

Hofaen hears the party begin to tramp up into the attic space. He remains on this floor and once again is intrigued by the area that should exist between the bathroom and the master bedroom.
He looks first in the bathroom seeking hidden levers/latches etc. Investigation: 6
Before seeking the same on the south wall of the north bedrooom. Investigation: 10
Hofaen - The layout on this floor contains the same anomalous space that you're certain exists, but despite your very thorough search, you just can't seem to find any sort of mechanism to operate.
Zindarik walks into the room filled with the old furniture draped with sheets.Could those two ghostly children be hiding in here? he wonders. So, carefully and methodically, he pulls each sheet aside to see what lies underneath...
Zindarik - You find chairs, coat racks, standing mirrors, dress mannequins, and the like, all standing in various places throughout the room. Near an iron stove, underneath one of the sheets, is an unlocked wooden trunk.

Zindarik - This bare hall is choked with dust and cobwebs. The door with the black dot is locked with a large rusted iron padlock.

Baldwin leaves the master bedroom and looks for the rest of the group. Noticing that they have gone up to the attic, he follows suit.

With brief grunt and scratch of the head Hofaen follows the others up into the attic.

All - There are three more doors to open on the top floor.
After Ankita picks up the doll, she leaves the room she is in and opens the door to the next room on her left.
Ankita - This dusty chamber is packed with what appears to be various pieces of old furniture, all draped in dusty white sheets.
Baldwin seeing Ankita go into the door on the left goes opposite and opens the door across from it on the right
