“I thought the alias was too intimidating for the moment.”He answered to Khessa, sounding as relaxed as he could in the situation.“And that means our priority should be cleaning the rest of the goblins. We already got the tavern and the temple so a good start, all things considered.”
The guards were fast to answer his questions and introduce themselves. By saying their position it was clear they didn’t know what happened. An alliance was broke and the strengthened group followed suit in a mission to clean the goblins.
They first headed to a store of sorts and there found an easy victory, fortunately. Maybe we can finish this before sundown, Sorjen though to himself as they followed to the stables. An arrow flied in Kan’s direction, welcoming the group.
For the ranger’s surprise he seemed to be the first to notice or, at least, to react. As fast as he could he raised his bow, drawing an arrow of his own. Usually, he remembered Arin explaining during the training of the newcomers in the conclave, a ranged attack will denounce your position so be careful when choosing the moment to strike.
“Let me repay the courtesy.”He says releasing the bowstring.
Notes: Assuming the ranged attack reveals the goblin, Sorjen fires at he/she. After firing he moves behind the closest thing that can give him any cover (unless he kills the goblin - in this case he doesn't move).
Khessa is really concerned as the goblin shots Sorjen with deadly precision. She fears for her friend's life... but she does not hesitate: should she check Shadow Stalker's condition, the goblin might be able to shot again, something she is determined to avoid at all cost. She goes up the nearest wooden ladder to the hayloft, then...
OOC: Sorry, but without a map of the stable I have to ask... Does Khessa have still enough movement left to reach the goblin going near him behind the haystack? So to negate him the half-cover for her?
If not, does she have enough movement left to simply go in reach of the goblin (even with the haystack still giving him half-cover)?
If one of the answers is 'yes', then, option melee.
Else, she will attack from range (oprion range), trying to set suddenly a fire the haystack the goblin is using (in the hope that the goblin gets burned... up to DM to determine if this happens and how much damage the goblin takes from that).
Now that I think of it, I feel a bit like I was writing a gamebook. Lol!
Option melee:
...she wields her two-handed sword and runs to the enemy saying: "NOBODY tries to use my favored scout as a target for arrows!"
Khessa feints a descending cleave between the goblin's neck and shoulder, trasforming it at the last moment in a roundhouse slash at the waist of the pesky little monster: Attack: 11 Damage: 9
Option range:
...she knows she can not reach the pesky little monster in time to prevent him to fire again. But speaking of fire...
"Oh, so you've got cover?" she mocks the goblin "You don't impress me much"
Not at all impeded in her movements by her own armor, which she has learned to wear and use properly for some time, the warrior-mage intones a rapid formula, ending it with an elegant gesture and... suddenly a spark of fire darting towards the hay of which the goblin looked so pleased.
(I need to roll, to hit a stationary haystack with a Fire bolt? If I need, thats the roll: Attack: 19 Damage: 5)

Kramyra steps out of the shadows when she sees Sorjen get hurt. She gets a worried look on her face and checks to make sure he’s alright. Then casts chill touch towards the goblin that is shooting at them.
Ev'alish, caught off guard by the surprise attack, fumbles to get his pike at the ready and stab the goblin with his extended range (potentially through the hay bale cover?)

An exploding bale of hay, a frosty tingle in the air and arrows flying back and forth. To Gryrim it felt like another day behind the bar.
With the goblin now exposed, he lets loose with a glob of arcane energy, oddly the colour of an elvish ale, directed straight at the attacker. "Stinkin' raider." He growls as the energy flashes across the room.
Khessa compliments hearthly the four guards: "Good job, guys! I'm really proud of how you are putting your newfound weapons to good use!"
But the next second she is near her wounded friend, checking Sorjen's conditions, concern shadowing her deep blue eyes: "I saw that arrow strike hard. How are you, Shadow Stalker? Do you think you can go on? If you prefer to wait for us in the inn, just say it; now that we have four guards helping us we should have no problem finishing to free Nightstone. Do as you feel better, but... well, no need for you to risk getting killed by the next lucky shot. Or maybe Kan can help you?" she turns her head to the elf artificier. Will he be able to help Sorjen like he did with Kramyra before?
Ev'alish tilts his head, concerned. He ask the guards: "Doth thy have confidence in the townspeople's cave shelter? I know we shalt clear the village out by this eve, but shalt we rest 'fore the attempt to retrieve them or 'tis the need more immediate?
Kan comes Kramyra to look at the goblin’s belongings. “Silver darts? That’s a strange thing to have. Makes you think of… old werewolf tales and whatnot.” He laughs a bit uncomfortably.

Kan is following along at the back, avoiding combat at first and visibly relieved to have a bunch of guards leading the way.
“Yes, the stables. If I had tried to run, that’s where I’d have gone first.”

Kramyra deftly makes her way up to where the goblin was to see if there was a reason the goblin was up there, and searches the creature as well.
