Ankita - Both balls of flame hit their targets and finish off the remaining rats. What does that look like?
The Swarm of Rats is DEAD. Combat has ended.
Rah'zher - In from the kitchen comes a mother, the mace in her hand sends you to cover! Out through the back door and into the street, with thoughts of Fists quickening your feet! A few blocks away you huff and you puff, of angry women you've surely had enough! You're safe for now, you're fairly certain, but there is no sign of your noble burden! Do you leave him to his fate or find him again? And what of your friends, has each met their end?
The moment the enemies are dispatched, Samuel runs to Remi’s side to render aid. ”You won’t die today, my friend. I’ve already grown quite accustomed to your sense of humor.”
"Remi, can you go on?" Damian asks as he approches the others. "This one was particularly nasty." He says and blasts the Master of Souls one more time with hellish red crackling force, just for good measure. "We should go on though. I really hope Rah'zher will be back soon."
After providing aid to Remi, Samuel will go to the blasted corpse of the Master of Souls and search for any goodies this baddy might have. Investigation: 19
Remi sits up, next to Rhogarr and promptly vomits. “Ughhh. What the hell happened? I saw that horrible light and felt those things biting me, all over. I … feel… terrible.” He looks like Han Solo after he had be tortured in the City of Clouds.
He looks up as Damian mentions pushing on. “Okay, okay. I know you are itching to push on but I almost went into the bright light…. twice. Can we rest for a short bit?” Remi looks at you propping up on his unsteady arm pleadingly.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
While Ankita is checking over the area she is in, she hears Remi’s plea, “that’s not a bad idea Remi and I’m glad to see you’re back with us. Not only will it give some of us the chance to heal, it will give Rah’zher time to catch up with us. I’m starting to worry about him, he should have been back by now.”
“If a rest it is, allow me to redo my little sign show to guide our furry fury back to us, then I shall play a jaunty little tune to lift the spirits.” Samuel goes back to the two chambers leading into the area where the group is resting and leaves the bright pink arrows at eye level, pointing towards the group. Upon returning, he begins playing a upbeat song upon his lute, flicking the wood to emulate the sound of a drum on every upbeat. His party experiences the effects of a Song of Rest, granting an additional 1d6 healing to anyone who uses a hit dice to heal.
"Yes, a rest to regain some strength seems unavoidable, although I suggest we take it in the bath house rather than in the sewers." Damain suggests. Damian grumbles about his ruined shirt, cleaning it up the best he can, before finding a wall to rest by. Short rest: 4 + 2
Remi is grateful for the time to rest and recover. He sits down opposite of Damian and binds his wounds, closes his eyes.
Hit die healing : 8
Additional healing from bardic rest : 5
He feels much better and ready to move on afterwards. "Thank you. Rhogarr, thank you for bringing me back. Remi was almost a goner there, I'll remember your kindness. Now, where the heck is Rah'zher?"
All - You're able to rest and recover, but there is still no sign of Rah'zher by the time your short rest has finished. What would you like to do? Please refer to post #522 for a map of the area.
Samuel -
In addition to her robe and her flail, the Master of Souls carries a dusty book. The book has black leather covers and sports a tiny, skull-shaped locking mechanism.
Ankita - It appears the woman was preparing to make a zombie out of the corpse on the table.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"We should continue and finish this now. We need to go back and take the corridor leading out of the chamber with the cave-in." Damian says and motions for Rhogarr to take point again, going back the way they came and then taking the eastermost tunnel. Stealth: 4 Perception: 18

Rhogarr will give his 1 remaining point of Lay on Hands to anyone who needs it, then spend much of his rest praying. I’ll make a perception check too: 6
Samuel will gently fold the robes around the flail and secure them in his pack. As for the book, “Lady and Gentlemen, this book is locked, but I believe it may be for the best. I’m not sure I want to know the contents, however, if anyone else feels the need for some light reading, have at it. As for our progression through this fantastic vista, we have the tunnel to the far east or the door directly south of us. Either way, I shall guide our furry fury towards us in a similar fashion as before. He surely can’t miss the signs.”

Both fireballs release in unison and engulf the swarm in flames. The remaining instantly combust and all that is left is smoke.

Samuel - You can make a DC 10 Medicine check to attempt to stabilize Remi.
Remi - If he fails, please make a Death Saving Throw. If others try and fail you can make more Death Saving Throws.
All - Remi is still dying. He can be stabilized with a DC 10 Medicine check or by any amount of healing.

I’m happy to use Lay on Hands to heal Remi for… 4 HP.

"Yes, hrm, the door, of course, let's start there shall we." Damian agrees.
