An applause erupts from near the stairs as a garishly dressed Gnome comes down the stairs. Slung over his shoulder is a stringed instrument similar to a lute, but with a round body stretched with lacquered cover, and a long (for the size) neck. From the stairs he uses a chair to climb onto a table and then sits on a small chair which has been placed their for him. Raising his hands above his head he claps out a steady, quick rhythm the the locals take up with clapping hands and stomping feet. The instrument, when he begins to pluck it with a curious ring on his thumb makes a thumping steely sound...
Their are no words to his first song, but the lively tune gets the crowd started and they begin something that must be a local dance, with men on one side, woman on the other and quick feet movements..
He gives a small smile and pockets his badge. "Have you met our employer yet?" he asks.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Eraleigh gestures at the gnome. “I’m betting that’s our contact. Feel free to put up some coin if you think otherwise.” He has a broad grin at this point.
Lucius watches the gnome for a little bit. "Well this group makes a lot more sense now. If that is our contact the last thing he appears to be is inconspicuous", he says with a laugh.
Nadaar nods in agreement and relaxes a bit to enjoy the show. He waves his hand in small concentric circles close to his chest and says a couple of words under his breath.
Slowly little light orbs begin to dance about above the gnome in rhythm to the music and then thru the crowd. e.g around a pretty girls face and land briefly on a child's nose to then fly away and dance some more.
If the gnome looks about for the source Nadaar will smile and nod in acknowledgement.
"Well, my journey has been long and arduous. If that is our contact, then we should approach him," Muktak says. "I want to leave these peering eyes and discriminatory stares as soon as possible."

Ragnik happily sits and listens along to the minstrels music, tapping his feet along to the beat. As Nadaars illusion takes place he gives some customary ‘oohs’ and ‘ash’s’ along with the crowd.
”try not to fret Muktak, these will be simple people and not used to your kind. You have a chance to be the inspiration for a changed mind.” Ragnik tries to give a reassuring smile towards the half-orc “I don’t think we will have much chance to approach him, it sounds like he is only getting started in his set.”
Muktak huffs. He doesn't seem to be entertained by the show, but patiently waits. While the gnome plays, he pulls out a battered book called "The Recondite World of Herbology and Botany" and begins to read.

"Of course we would be more than happy to grant Glittergem an audience", Lucius says to the innkeeper with a wry smile. He looks towards Glittergem, making sure to make eye contact with him, and raises his new goblet of wine to him with a nod.
"I am assuming board for the night will be required", he says to the others. "Might be best to settle our bills when we know more?"
"Ahh well, as I said before, your being here has increased my fair. Between the curiosity of you folks and Glimmergem everyone from the village and the surrounding farms are here tonight. So don't be worried about all of that."

Lucius watched the show, taking some wine but not overdoing it, he wanted to keep his senses clear.
”I think you are right Ragnik, we would be mobbed if we interrupted him”, he said with a smile.
He listened with interest for Muktak’s reply to Eraleigh’s question, hoping to learn more about his new companions.
He also quietly activated his badge under the table to see if anyone else lights up, other than those at their table.
Muktak looks up at Eraleigh. "What do you mean?" He follows his gaze down to his book. "Oh, this? No, I just have an interest in these sorts of things."
