Anvil continues to retrace their steps until they get to the tunnel going in the other direction that the guard described for them, keeping an eye out for any more eternals or vampires on the way.
"More ground rules should have been established," Anvil says as they walk. "Do we require confirmation of the death of the entire exploratory party to confirm the end of our contract? Or is the death of our direct employer and head of the archaeologists enough?"
Continuing back the way you came you turn and take the other southern hallway. This opens into a small room which seems to contain the remains of some humanoid. It has been gnawed on and eaten beyond recognition.
Along the way, Gruno will take the amulet and look it over, and a small hint of recognition sparks in his brain. "I took a job once, I didn't worry with the details as much but this reminds me of that. A cult had kidnapped a girl to sacrifice to the demon lord Orcus. This symbol looks like the symbols they wore." He smirks a bit as he remembers the job, "They prayed to him to manifest and save them as I bloodily picked them off one by one from the shadows..... he didn't."

"It would make logical sense since the one that ran away said his master served Orcus," Anvil says as he looks around the room with the dead humanoid. "I would estimate the likelihood of her minions wearing the Orcus symbol would be quite high."

"If we obtain proof our contract has ended, the best choice of actions would be to leave these tunnels, collapse the entrance and let this cult fight the vampires until they are all dead."
The hall continues on the far side of the room. This hallway curves to the left and continues on for about 100 ft. Towards the end of this hallway you can see light coming from a side passage to the right, the hall also continues on. Even before you reach this passage you can hear the gentle sound of water echoing out of this chamber. Looking into this room it appears to be more natural than built. A font of water spills from the south wall into a filled cistern of crystal clear water. The font had been ornately decorated with a mountain motif. Upon further inspection each mountain has been set with a faceted cut gemstone. This must be the fountain the man had spoken of.
Anvil pauses at the natural spring and examines the decorative work. While his focus on the use of the forge is utilitarian he does still appreciate decorative metal work. If these ornate decorations are wrought metal of any kind, especially if showing signs of dwarven craft, he will stop and examine them more closely, going as far to reach out and trace them with his metal hand, pressing on the gemstones as he does.

"When you're finished with the font, think we should take this passage to the right?" Gaetana whispers to Anvil and looks to Vulcan and Gruno for their input as well.

For those of you who enter this room you are almost immediately met with a feeling of peace, calm, and safety you haven't felt since you entered the underdark.
Looking around the room you don't see much else, a few spots that look like they've been sat in, but the gemstones are gorgeous. The craftsmanship is some of the finest you've seen.
I think the passage to the right that Gaetana originally mentioned wanting to go down was actually just to the chamber with the fountain. If I read the description right, the only way left is to continue down the hallway.

While you are not terribly familiar with all it entails you do recognize the symbol as that of Orcus, one of the demon lords of the Abyss.

Anvil, there are bite marks all along the body as well as pieces torn away. Seems some kind of hungry animals got to this one.
Anvil stands up from the body and turns to look around the room. Is there another way out? He checks the walls for concealed doors as well.

"Do you feel that?" Anvil asks the others. "The peace and calm."
He looks at the fountain for a moment longer.
"I would say even probability that this is a real sanctuary or a trap to lull prey to sleep. Either way should remember it."
In the end he takes a scoop of water in his hand to see if it has any effect. He dabs some on his metal lips as well.
If nothing happens he'll turn to leave the room and continue down the hallway.
Gaetana shrugs her shoulders and says to Sulfas, "Guess we're going this way." and she follows Anvil down the hall.

Moving down that corridor you come to a set of stone doors that are closed.
Anvil approaches the doors that Sulfas has lead them to. He leans in close and listens for any sounds coming from the other side.

He then does a quick check of the door itself, looking for any traps.

Gruno sees what Anvil is doing and perks up, "Allow me to help if I may."

You can hear some very faint sounds, might be whispers, its hard to tell what it is. The doors do not appear to be trapped or locked.
