Aoi sees the others wake and rises from where he is sitting by the fire.
"I should be able to disassemble the dragon in an hour or two. I don't really need help, but company is always welcome." Aoi moves toward the dragon and starts taking it apart with his shortsword. He starts with the scales and teeth before carefully cutting apart the neck to find where the venom sack is.
"Hopefully everyone was able to get a good long rest. We know more about what we need to avoid on the way back so we should be better prepared in knowing what to keep an eye out for. And while this wasn't exactly fun, I'm glad we got what we needed and were able to eliminate a major threat to the elven population. And maybe, just maybe, the ship will be ready when we get back."
Darwin wanders over to where Caper is still snoozing by the fire and sits next to him.
"Perhaps you could fly back to the ship and see what awaits us?", he telepathically enquires of the faerie dragon. "Or at least scout the route back a ways?".
Caper opens one eye and regards Darwin for a moment.
"Of course I could", he replies.
Darwin just sits and watches him as the seconds tick by.
"Oh, ok then. But I need some food first", Caper finally says.
Darwin smiles, and fishes around for some rations.
"You might have more luck getting food on the way", Darwin adds as he looks at the rations in his hand before feeding it to Caper.
Turning back to Ida, he updates the group.
"Caper has kindly volunteered to scout the route back, and if safe to see what is happening at the ship".
"I say we are ready, but we know there are dangers to keep a lookout for. Aoi - do you think you could help lead us back? I feel like you may have the best sense of direction of any of us."
"Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Great job Aoi. I say we get to the ship and see how the repairs are coming along. The. We can round up the crew and sail back to Haukberg if the ship is able."
"I think that really depends on how Agnarr feels. We know his brother is dangerous, but only he knows just how dangerous. How do you feel about it Agnarr? Is it better for us to come with you? Then possibly after your father is healed you could return with us to help with your brother?"
Caper has returned to the Ravensmast which has been repaired.
Agnarr shrugs, 'We still don't know my brothers plans or how far along them he is. I would appreciate the company on the voyage to Suðureyjar but it is not required.'
"Well, I for one am not willing to go through everything we have, not that I remember it all, only to have you lose the damn thing before you get it home", Darwin says.
"I say we check in with Antonius, get this stuff examined and identified. Make sure he has what he owes me, then head off for the big guys homeland. Oh, and we could switch out some of the crew back in Haukberg as well. It's not like we can't afford to", he suggests tapping the bag of holding.
"Oh, and looks like the repairs are done and we are ready to sail", he adds after zoning out for a moment whilst he checks in using Caper's senses.
Hamish nods at the discussion of the plan for moving forward. He's been oddly quiet and detached since they killed the black dragon. Internally, Hamish keeps coming back to how powerful beings, like dragons, fairies, and even nobility, try to claim people as their own, as tools or pawns or subjects. If Agnarr's brother is just another tyrant, then Hamish feels he has no choice but to fight. But they don't even know the plan yet. And would Hamish be opposed to something that could fell the powerful and mighty and arrogant? He's not so sure anymore.
"I almost think it would be better to go to Agnarr's father without finding Antonius first. His father needs help, the quicker we get there, the better. Please remind me Agnarr, when you arrived in Haukberg, did you have a ship or barter passage? We need to travel to Suðureyjar quickly, what is the best way? While we figure it out, let's get the crew ready to sail and being the journey."
Hamish thinks for a moment, then says, "I think it's a good idea as well. If we can ensure Agnarr's brother lacks an inactive or weakened homeland, then he will have fewer places to hide should we need to give chase."
'We wrecked on this coast trying to find the wreckage the dragon had made his home and I was captured by the Orcs whom you helped me escape.' Agnarr reminds the party.
'So we sail the Ravensmast south?' Agnarr asks to confirm
"Agnarr, we have suggested we go straight there for your purposes. If that is what you wish, then we will make it so", Darwin replies.
"If you are to replace your father as leader one day, you really need to learn to be more assertive", he adds reaching up to pat Agnarr on the lower back and shaking his head.

Once the dragon has been properly dressed and all relevant parts harnessed, the party is ready to hit the road.
Is Caper choosing the route or just going where directed?
If he's choosing the route I need a survival check from him
Darwin will check in on Caper frequently after he flies out.
As for how the group proceed, he will follow those more able to guide them back to the port and the boat.
"I say we are ready, but we know there are dangers to keep a lookout for. Aoi - do you think you could help lead us back? I feel like you may have the best sense of direction of any of us."
"I'll do my best, though I can't say I have much experience navigating on land," Aoi says with a shrug.
(Survival: 16 + 9 = 25)
With the guidance of Aoi, the party is able to return to Porto Di Baio with no issues.
Now you have returned to town, what is next?
"Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Great job Aoi. I say we get to the ship and see how the repairs are coming along. The. We can round up the crew and sail back to Haukberg if the ship is able."
"Sounds like a plan", Darwin says. "And what then though? Do we accompany Agnarr back to his land, to ensure he gets there safely?".
He also reaches out to Caper telepathically to find out where the faerie dragon has got to.
"I think that really depends on how Agnarr feels. We know his brother is dangerous, but only he knows just how dangerous. How do you feel about it Agnarr? Is it better for us to come with you? Then possibly after your father is healed you could return with us to help with your brother?"

"That sounds like a good plan to me," Aoi says to Darwin. "I would enjoy being out at sea again too."
