You work your way past the Gates of the city, with no problems, once again, you're hired on quickly as guards, with your own wagon to sleep in. The head guard and driver's name is Wallabie Lore. Wallabie says "Get yourself situated, we need to get going, to catch up with the rest of the wagon train since they left early this morning."
Fargen sets off his new steed, following behind the wagon train as the ubiquitous dwarven knight. "I will call out the wizard when we meet again and I will drive him upon my spike."
The dwarf secures the lance to his horse Cinder. The idea of using a lance is still strange, but Moradin has shown a path uniting energy, metal, and rage...
I must test acid, cold, fire, lightning, and thunder to see which best pierces hearts.
"E-even earlier? My word! I-I suppose the timing *ahem*... I suppose the timing of arrival could've been much better." Nobody jests, if but after correcting his posture and putting on a more confident air about him. He then made to follow along beside the wagon from atop his own mount. Although if ever in need of a rest, or if their assigned wagon yet needed a driver, he would do much the same as Kuri in tethering his horse to the wagon and finding a seat on it as well. If there's to be any small talking on his part with the others is reserved strictly for once the group is well underway.

The characters are of course with the help of the factions, hired as wagon escorts. Unlike in the caravan, guards are not hired by individual wagon masters but by the High Road Charter Company, a consortium of guilds and noble houses partnered with Lord Neverember. You find out that a human named Ardred Briferhew commands the entire convoy. It consists of six supply wagons, twelve escorts (including the characters), and two dozen laborers, marching out to relieve a group that is coming back to Waterdeep for some time off.
You also find out that the convoy is to take the Highroad and travel next to the Mere of Dead Men The work camp the convoy is headed toward lies 200 miles up the coast. For most of that distance, the road winds through rough coastal hills nestled between the Sword Mountains and the sea, you make good time, on the seventh night, the convoy camps on a hilltop from which characters have their first sight of the Mere of Dead Men. It is a chill tangle of trees, brush, boggy ground, standing water, reeds, and cat-tails stretching farther than the eye can see.
Wallabie Lore, indicates, that you should set up your area of the camp so you'll have bedding, then report to Ardred Briferhew.
Unaccustomed as he was to playing the part of a "regular human", the past several days had been stressful to Nobody, to say the least. So much so, in fact, that he often limited his interactions with his fellow guards and caravan members. But, there are a few times at least in which he moved with a bit more pep to his step from the lack of staring or hints of fear/wariness in the faces of his fellow travelers. Nevertheless, he had played his part to the best of his ability, and should have fail to procure a tent one way or another, made a point to sleeping heavily covered up given the limitations of the hat as a precaution, in addition establish to any basic silent wards to detect uninvited guests of the halfling size or larger variety.
"Will do, sir'rah. Will do." Replied Nobody (or Njorman Njormalson when disguised) to Wallabie before getting to work gathering setting up a tent(s), or at least a makeshift one beside the wagon, leaving others to get a campfire established. The usual magical wards he'd save for dealing with just before bed. Once everyone appeared ready to go he tag along in the back of the procession.

((ooc: what were we able to gather about all and nothing during these six days? I mean, the first things that pops into my mind:
- who are the others six guards?
- were any of us able to pick/take a look of what any of wagon contains?
- who leads the expedition, I mean Wallabies..who does he work for?
- what do they expect to find once arrived? what is these labourers labouring at? maybe a good question if Gattara might help once done..if not as a labourer, maybe as a cook and/or as a phisician
- was any of us able to do something out of their spare time (if any)? I mean, Gattara proposes herself to be a cook and a gatherer but she can also be good at brewing healing potions, if they can afford to pay 25gp of ingredients she can make decent healing potions and they can split them in some way
As you gather Andred Briferhew, waits till everyone is there, you find some unfamiliar faces and one familiar the gnome, Jamna Gleamsilver, Andred announces
"We've have a problem, that will impede our wagons progress, that you folks need to eliminate, a few giant crocodiles, have been using the road we're on for sunbathing. Any volunteers?"
"G-giant crocodiles?! Seriously? Oh man..." Njorman trailed off murmuring to himself, then shook curtly shook his head. "I-I guess I have a spell to have move'm, but might rile'm up. But I-I'll do my best, boss man! Or should I say 'we'." He smiles sheepishly at Kuri and whoever else volunteers, then unslung his crossbow and made ready to follow whoever took point. Because as Azuth as his witness, it certainly wouldn't be him. "Quick question though 'fore we go. Does anyone in the caravan happen to have some still bloody game we might use to maybe lure the crocs off the road? Not saying that's the plan per say just yet, but could go a long way I'm thinking."

Sorry, I didn't realize we were entitled to a mount.
In that case, Kuri will choose the capybara, naturally =)

Gattara, (pretending not know it?) , in front of Wallabie and Kuri, says
"And will it be, and how many days of travel more or less? You know, since we are paid per day..."
Kissa moved her mount up front where her keen senses would be the most use.

Kuri will make sure the underside of the wagon is clean before setting up some blankets there.
Then awaiting her companions, meet with Andred Briferhew.

Kissa led the way to meet with Ardred, her nightly routine being little more than throwing a reed mat on the ground...
