Well that is unfortunate, Crispin thinks, wondering how such a low level thug got such magics from. Still and all, put a couple of them down, perhaps that’ll help dissuade any others whose path he may accidentally cross.
Turning around and looking at the flame filled bar Crispin sighs. Still, he takes a moment to readjust the guns on the back of his belt, and the stolen red robe he is wearing more as a sash so as to cover the pistols, then puts on a proper calm as frick demeanor and walks out towards the front door. As he steps over the halfling siblings, Crispin pokes each with his scimitar to ensure they are dead. He then sidesteps some flames and advances on “Dude” as well, looking to ensure that he is down for good if nobody has reached him yet.
Lyla beckons at the guards, and quickly turns on her heel to rush back to the bar, hoping they follow after her. They'll all have some explaining to do, but the thought is put low on her current worries list. She skitters to a stop outside the bar. "Someone with water spells will be here... How do... what do you want me to do?"
If no one gives her something to do, Lyla puts her bag on the ground and starts rifling through it. Tinderbox? Torches? No, she didn't want to spread the fire. There! She pulls out her bedroll, and tugs the thin blanket out from it, ready to help try and smother any flames trying to spread outside of the water line Vivien was creating.

“Do whatever it takes to reduce the fire Cobalt Soul Scholar!” The officer said as she prepares a spell to summon a cloud inside the rain, creating a rainstorm to extinguish the flames inside the building. With everyone’s combined effort you see the fire died down and things goes back to normal expect for the burn furniture and a pile of debris lying around.
“Good Job everyone!” The officer said as she examining the whole room then turns her attention towards you Lyla. “This is the 3 time that this Tavern have faced with... problems, I guess I’ve no choice but to shut it down!” She sighs as she looks at the 3 bodies lying around and makes a quick glance at you Crispin. “Oh forgive me… I’m inspector officer Sarah of the Zhelezo!” She took out a badge of the Concordian law enforcement towards you.
The two guards taking some records of this incident, one of them calls you out Crispin. “Sir are you alright? Please step aside and join the others and the inspector would like a few words from you of this incident, it takes 5 minutes!”
Panting heavily from the effort of trying to save the tavern, she'd finally stand once the smoke dissipates. Once her and her group are reunited, she'd glare daggers at Crispin knowing now what she knows, formulating what to say this pirate in her head.
Crispin smiles. “But of course, happy to comply,” he answers while also trying to mote the possible escape routs. “It’s a terrible thing that happened here, and I had been told this was a safe city!”
"You should be thanking them, Ms. Sarah." Lyla sheepishly motions to the others, avoiding eye contact.
"But um... there were other incidents like this here?"The thought doesn't ease the guilt she feels any less. "Is trouble that common of an occurrence around here? Gangs, well, they're a common problem in any city. What happened the last two times?"

“W-well not everything is perfect sir no matter how safe it is there is still a small percentage of danger in this city!” Sara tightens her fist as she explains about Port Damali as two of her guards report on the situation.

“What is your name scholar? The Cobalt Soul have interesting people, always wanted to look at them up close… and you seems to have a hidden talent that I can’t put my fingers on it!”

“Mostly a hunch, that all I could say!" Sarah replied to Lyla as she gives the report back to her guards. “Well Ms Lyla and friend I would like to have a small interview and answer them as best you can and you’re free to go that it.”
How does this incident occur?
Do you know who started this incident in the first place?
Do you know anything about 3 bodies lying on the ground? Specifically they have snake tattoos on their bodies!
(you can answer this truthfully or lie then make a group Persuasion/Deception)
(*Each one of you, your Point of View of this situation)
As you were interviewed by the inspector, you see more guards entered the burned tavern to barricade it and doing some further investigation at the site as you see civilians gathered at the area. Discussing among themselves about the situation.
"That is all, if you got any new information to report to, please head to one of our post at the centre of Port Damali!"
Crispin is all smiles, confidence, calmness and openness when answering. He feels he has nothing at all to hide.
“How does this occur? Sir, you tell me. My old friend A’ro and I just stopped in here to grab a cold drink and a quick chat. We are new in town so of course knew nothing of this establishment’s history. Just as we were finishing up our drinks a band of ruffians entered. Ten to twenty strong, they were. The started with some pretense of us being in their seats and such but when A’ro and I tried to leave peacefully - we were vastly outnumbered, after all- they got hands and violent. Fearing for our lives we defended ourselves. You may inquire with the bartender, once he is found. If he’s not part of the ruffian group he can surely tell you the truth of the matter…”
“Who started the incident? The ruffians, as I just said. Are you taking proper notes there? I surely can’t be expected to have their proper names. I do believe A’ro called what seemed to be their leader ‘Teacup’ but I think that was meant as an insult, not a show of actually knowing the gent, or his name.”
Crispin leans over to try and see if his questioner is indeed taking notes or not. “Good sir, I have explained… they came in with violence and mayhem in mind. They assaulted my friend A’ro and myself. Fearing for our lives, we defended ourselves. As luck would have it, and by the God’s Divine Grace, we were the more capable and the others showed up just as we needed them. I am heartbroken that any lives were lost, but I will not feign that I’d have preferred it be me or mine… As for their body art… a bit tacky to my eyes but I try not to judge others aesthetic choices. And being new to town I surely would not know if it was ‘in fashion’ or not.”
As much as Crispin feels this is all in hand, he still can’t help but continually look to the possible exits and want this whole bureaucratic nonsense over and done with…
“So, we still going to make our appointment with the Commondant?” Crispin calls over to Lyla, hoping invoking a higher power could maybe speed this along.

Lyla is fairly quiet as the questions are asked, mostly adding to whatever the others say. "The three of us,"She points to the other girls, "had some business to take care of after we arrived here. The other two decided they wished to do some drinking, and went off. It took us a while to finish our business, and we decided to try and find them afterwards... which is when we found them being attacked. In the scuffle the building ended up being set on fire. And you know the rest."
"Oh um... we do have some business to take care of, yes." She nods to Crispin's question. Not a true lie, as she wanted to just get out of here and return to the Library. Where hopefully everything would quiet down.

Vivien straightens up and begins. "All of us met in Palma Flora. We all left there together after an incident. The three of us as well as a few refugees visited the commodore to report an incident in Palma Flora as these two..." She'd eye A'ro, then stand before Crispin, bending to look at him in the eyes almost trying to figure out if it's truly him, plus trying to see his reaction. "...these two went their own way. The commodore was not available so we left a message with the receptionist. We were reminded of these two and how they were last heading this way. We heard a ruckus coming this way and found these two inside a tavern swarming with bandits and a brewing fire. That one I believe is still alive." She'd point to Dude.
Looking away from glaring at Crispin She'd look to A'ro. "Who provoked who and why did you both stray?"
Persuasion (With advantage if the perfume works): 19
“Stray?” Crispin would question. Loudly. “Stray?!? A quick fling on Palma Flora and suddenly we’re puppies to be kept on a leash?”
“Can you believe this?” Crispin asks the guard. “Is it any wonder my friend A’ro here and I needed a drink? A little sun, a little boat ride, suddenly there’s a leash around your neck!”
“You meet a woman, there’s excitement and heavy breathing, then she’s running off to see some Commondant fella and she complains that WE strayed! The nerve, am I right??”

A’ro just follows the order of the law officials that showed up looking around and taking a deep sigh. He just looks at the dead bodies and a look of remorse crosses his face “I tried to give you a chance not to have the wind taken from your sails. Why didn’t you all just leave.”
When Xan'drila asks A'ro her question he just shakes his head "Nothing good that's for sure." his eyes just looking to Crispin before the inspector begins to ask questions.
As the inspector asks about the incident, he just takes a breath waiting for it to be his turn “I guess I’ll lead up to what go us in the tavern first just so you can understand. I met Crispin and the others a few days ago when a town named Palma Flora. A group of Sahuagin attacked and we all helped to save some villagers though it also led us all to be on the same boat for a while. After we docked here, I was looking for a drink and figured maybe I’d get to know Crispin a little better. He seemed to distance himself from the rest of the group and so we didn't get a lot of time to talk when I wasn't helping on the ship. We also butted heads at first so figured I'd try to make amends and see if we couldn't get off to better terms. He led me here and we sat down to get a drink. A few moments later the group in there walked in and this Goliath tries to boss us around by calling us names.”He stops for a moment as he thinks back and just looks down for a second ashamed and remorseful.
“I could’ve probably responded better, but I turned around and just tossed a few names back at him and his crew. Figured it would be like any tavern with Sailors, you throw around some name making when someone is in your seat and then at the end you all buy rounds and play some cards. When I realized it was getting a little more serious than just banter, I stood up and we began to make our way out. It was then that one of the guys had started something with Crispin. That’s when all hell broke loose. The goliath tried tackling Crispin and I then levitated to get out of the way and try to calm the situation down. Then suddenly one of them fell dead. I pointed out that the violence was pointless.” He just continues to keep his head down “It’s always pointless. As for the snake tattoos I have no idea, I’ve seen a few tattoos on the sailors I’ve worked with even came across a tortle once who played a mean bagpipe and gave some awesome ones. Though never seen these before.”
A'ro just looks at Vivien and sighs “Regretting it now that I did, seems my waves got a little choppy. Just wanted a strong drink and to get to know Crispin a little better since we all barely got to talk on the ship. Plus figured him being by himself wouldn’t end well.” As Crispin begins to talk “Shut it Crispin. Inspector Sarah dismisses every one of you, leaving your group alone as more of the guards coming their way to the burned down Tavern, doing their guard duties.
"Good then, it's settled! We're heroes and free to go," Crispin says, grabbing a bottle from behind the bar and then leading the way out the door. "What's next on the agenda?"
Vivien listened intently to the genasi, hearing his recound and believing him having come to a respect for the sailor. "CAN YOU-" She cuts herself off from barking at Crispin as A'ro also tells him to silence himself as well. "Thank you, A'ro. And I understand where your heart was and do not condemn you for trying to look after someone, even thou-" She'd grip Crispin's robe by around the collar as he attempts to saunter off.
"Oh you're not straying again...!" She'd take a step forward to put her head beside his to mutter in his ear. "You're not getting out of my sight again, pirate. You have a lot to answer to and if you'd rather a collar than a noose.." She'd firm her grip. "...you'd abide. Or... parley."
