Aithne's laugh was a bit muffled, being that she was still holding her glasses in her mouth, but she wrinkled her nose at Aelyn in response to his playful behavior. She considered trying to respond, but dropping her only pair of lenses into a mythical pool was not something that she was interested in trying to rectify within her first week at Strixhaven. It was nice to be included in the antics of her classmates, though. In her home village, there were few children Aithne's age and fewer still that were interested in spending days at a time holed up indoors and decoding musty tomes. She hadn't been deliberately left out of their games, but it had happened more and more often as she'd grown.
Arvol just shakes his head at Aelyn's antics, coming over to Ambre. "Well, you think Aithne's right? Clue 2 must be the art gallery we passed. The free treat comes from the cafe. Leafy beds are in the garden. Stars are born on stage at the amphitheater?" He smiles as he's talking, "That sounds right. Aithne's a pretty smart girl," he says, absently.
He looks over at Hendrix, "Hey, you have to dip in your feathers as well!"
Seeing Aithne's wrinkled nose makes Aelyn blush, and he gives her a weak apologetic smile as he keeps searching the pool a bit farther away. "No, have to keep looking." He says, mostly to himself.
Hendrix quietly waits to see what happens to the others and then extends his hand into the pool and retrieves the Potion. He quickly puts it into his pack and takes mental note about the others. He finds them interesting but is withholding judgement.
Aithne withdrew her hand. Her sleeve was soaking, having taken a dip into the pool when she plunged her hand in, but she had retrieved a potion, the same as the others. Setting the bottle onto the ground next to her, she took a moment to wring the water from her sleeve and roll the fabric up to her elbow. The sleeves of her robe had already been too long and had been cuffed at her wrists. With one rolled to her elbow and the other at her wrist, they were sorely mismatched, but she paid it little mind.
Drying her hand on the hem of her robe, she repositioned her glasses and beamed at the others. "Excellent suggestion, Arvol. You're quite clever to have thought of the Snarl so quickly." Crouching, she shrugged off her pack onto the ground, opening the top flap and placing the potion securely inside. "That's one down. I thought perhaps the next riddle might be leading us to the gallery, but I could be mistaken. Does anyone else have another suggestion for where we should visit next?"
Arvol smiles broadly at the compliment from Aithne. "I was just telling Ambre that I thought you were right about the gallery. The professor just told us about the alumni showing artwork back there. So, if you're ready, shall we go?"
Aelyn takes the vial and pockets it, ready to follow the riddle solvers to the gallery next. They had likely solved all of this already, how could he possibly contribute. "Yes, sure, I am ready when you are Arvol, thanks for asking."He says with a weak smile.
Ambre is inspecting the potion, "I wonder if this is a one time thing or if it can happen more than one for a single person... interesting magical machanics either way."
Aithne exhaled a soft breath. Well. That had been foolish of her. Just because a mystery had been placed in front of her didn't mean that she needed to be the one to solve it. No more of that. She silently chided herself as she finished stowing the potion and securing the closure on the front of her bag. She rose to her feet, lifting her pack with her and shrugged it onto her shoulders.
"To the, ah, gallery, then?" She inquired, exiting the room which housed the Snarl and heading back out into the main chamber of the Biblioplex. After entering, she deliberately stepped to the side of the door and gestured for her classmates to proceed, taking the time to roll up her opposite (dry) sleeve so the two were even; both rolled neatly to her elbows.
"So, the art gallery, over there right?" Aelyn says after scanning the Biblioplex. "Let's see if we find ourselves inspired shall we." He adds, smiling again, waiting for the others to follow.
"For sure I want to join the Strixhaven Star," Arvol says. "And I'd had my mind set on finding an historical group to join, so I think I'll do that too. Although..." He pauses a moment, glancing over towards Aithne, then lowering his voice as he turns back to speak to Aelyn. "Aithne mentioned the Dead Languages Society. That does sound really interesting, I'm just not sure three extracurriculars would be wise." He sighs, "Can't do everything I guess. So, what about you Aelyn?"
"Well my friend, you should always be prepared do make sacrifices to be with those you care for."Aelyn says with a smile and a friendly hand on Arvols shoulder. "Now, the Star, that sounds interesting, I could really se you as an excellent truth seeker. If you'd let me I'll be happy to tag along on your investigations, perhaps I can be of some inspiration to your truthseeker deeds."
"I imagine you could give me a hand Aelyn. But why not join the Star yourself? You're planning on Silverquill right? You'd be great for it. I'm sure I'll do fine digging up information, but I'll probably have to work on my writing if anything of mine is ever to be printed." Arvol glances around as they walk, trying to make sure not to miss the Gallery.

Arvol grins as he hears Ambre's offer of help and Aithne's question. "Magic I'll bet!"
He then nods to Aelyn, "Yea, we just walked past it a moment ago." He starts to head out of the Hall of Oracles, back the way they came.
