Rhythm contemplates the Wizard’s question and did what he did best: bring order through chaos.
he looks Jhimas in the eyes and smiles: “I’ll owe you”. grabbed the 10 copper on the table, Rhythm throws them up in the air toward the middle of the room. Who doesn’t love free money?
turning his eyes and popping both ears out of his hood, Rhythm actively tried to perceive any inconsistencies in the room : 13 +14 perception roll
I was hoping we would get some action, but I had a encounter ready anyway... Roll initiative! Metaphorce, you have advantage. Brian_Avery, you roll normally. Everyone else has disadvantage.
“Y’all draw your swords, I’ll sing my cords; whole tavern’s drunk, or we’ve been punk’d,” Rhythm sings while giving Xanelor [BardicInspiration (d10)] with his bonus action.
Using his movement to back up into the corner and placing his shield between himself and the crowd, with his action Rhythm then casts [Bless (d4)] with a 3rd lvl slot on Balafor, Ren, Xanelor, Jhimas, & himself before hunkering down. An almost sadistic grin comes over his face… it’s been a while since he was in the thick of things.
Casting Bless on an ally also triggers [Voice of Authority]* for Ren.
*Voice of Authority: If you cast a spell with a spell slot of 1st level or higher and target an ally with the spell, that ally can use their reaction immediately after the spell to make one weapon attack against a creature of your choice that you can see. (No Action)

(OOC: assuming I win initiative with the 25)
You do win initiative
d(ooc: I was wondering if we were on holiday break or something.)
If you don't have time to post because of holidays, that's fine. I'm just running this combat for anybody who's still on.
Targeting Jhimas:
Attack: 20 Damage: 5
Targeting rythem:
Attack: 19 Damage: 6
Targeting xanelor:
Attack: 19 Damage: 6 and Attack: 19 Damage: 13
Eugene is just inside the range of a sleep spell and is sleeping on the floor.
Xanelor is next, followed by jhimas, then back to rythem
I'm going to mention that weapons are currently out, and it's every man for himself in here. The bartender fled into the kitchen.
(ooc: could we get a brief description of what exactly is happening, I'm guessing a barfight? also how big is the room we're in and what are the entrances/exits?)
It's too late to figure out how it started. Anyway, dwarves, elves, humans and halflings are being pushed around, knocking over tables and chairs(the people at the tables quickly end up attacking the guy who knocked over their drinks, and they shove him into another table, and it's now a free for all), and most of the people in the room have drawn weapons. There are maybe a dozen people with weapons drawn, mostly dwarves and humans. Exits:
Windows(you need a high acrobatics or being small to exit)
Door outside(there are a half dozen brawlers in your way)
Door to the kitchen(a few brawlers in the way, and the bartender just barred the door from the kitchen)
(ooc: ty, sounds like a chaotic barfight. I rolled 2 for initiative so I probably go dead last... last question, how high is the ceiling roughly?)
Imagine you took a pyramid and hallowed it out. this is roughly a 60 foot cube tavern, but at the outer edge(where you are) the ceiling is 10 feet tall. Add 10 feet for each 10 inward. The upper levels have rooms you can rent, and there are staircases at each corner. The party is 10 feet away from a staircase, but there are already some people fighting on the staircases.
By the way, did any of those attacks hit?

(Ooc: Is this campaign still running? Would like some context and information from DM regarding which players are still active, decisions to trim down the party and or recruit other players, and mission for the campaign.
so far I see Jhimas , Xanelor , and I actively posting, which to me looks like a 3 PC campaign if we continue as is.
simply: are we inactive due to PC’s not posting and active PC’s seating them, or due to DM being busy and or unwilling to direct message inactive players.)

I think a couple PCs are off, but even with three PCs, I'm going to keep running this campaign. I was off for a few days due to a bunch of device and account problems, but I'm back.
(ooc: if I've jumped the gun here let me know but that looks like all of us who've rolled initiative for this fight?)
Jhimas will summon (bonus action) his Tentacle of the Deeps about 15 feet away upon the staircase and attack one of the patrons. He will then cast Watery Sphere around himself and the ruffian who sucker punched him, and willingly fail the saving throw.
Tentacle of the Deeps Attack: 22 Damage: 6 cold damage and it's speed is reduced by 10 feet until my next turn.
The ruffian fails the saving throw out of suprise and is hit by the tentacle.
Ooc: yah a thorough recap of events and where we are now would be useful :)
You are in a tavern, 10 feet away from a staircase, 80 feet from the door, and 5 feet from a window. There are brawlers actively attacking everyone in the tavern. The barkeeper barred himself in the kitchen. The staircase has brawlers on it, one of which is was hit by somebody's water tentacle. Everyone was attacked by a brawler, now the party has all their turns roughly at the same initiative.
A game of doubles … better to be unlucky twice an unlucky once eh?

If anyone looks over, they will see the elderly half-elf staring at something through the window.

***Ooc post***
From my turn above, just so everyone knows what’s up:
-everyone in the party has an extra 1d4 for their attack and saving throw rolls. (Bless)
-Xanelor has an extra 1d10 he can use on 1 attack/check/save roll. (Bardic inspiration)
-Ren has a free attack action. (Voice of authority)

yes rhythm was hit for 9 damage.
concentration check for [Bless] DC10:
d20 (6) + 6 + d4 (4) = check passed
Xanelor is hit during the fight before he turns around.
"Silence!" He demands in a loud voice.

(I'm a bit lost on what is actually going on. Some sort of bar fight whilst there's a portal open outside?)
