"Really? I think it'd be fun to have a roommate. I've always been an only child, so I think it would be so nice to have someone to share everything with! And vent about issues and such? Anyways, I think I'm over by Witherbloom college since that is the one I hope to get in." she settles in enjoying her cider. Hoping she is making new friends with this group.

"Roommates have their benefits and annoyances I'd imagine. It sounds like Noey thinks they might be...underfoot when she has company over."
Rhydian takes another sip of his drink before continuing, "So Bryella and Tulli are for Witherbloom, I'm for Silverquill; what about the rest of you?"
Amber giggles when Rhydian says “company,” then answers him. “Silverquill. I play RPGs and I act a little and I write poetry and I wanna write a novel someday.”
At Rhydian’s comment, and Amber’s giggle, Noey’s light blue skin turns a bright cerulean blue, creeping up from her throat, up her cheeks, and to her hairline. She smiles uncomfortably while making eye contact with nobody, reaches for a handful pretzels to stuff in her mouth, knocks the bowl flying, grabs for it, overcompensates, and slips spectacularly off her stool and onto the floor.
“I’m sure you’re a great writer,” she says from the floor.

“Yeah, thanks,” Noey takes her hand and stands up with a bounce, putting a brave face on her thorough embarrassment. “All good, just lost my… balance? So, writing and poetry and acting?” She drops Amber’s hand and sheepishly collects pretzels. “Can you show us anything?” she says, redirecting the group’s attention.

Bryella helps Noey pick up the pretzels and agrees, "yes Amber, what is your main focus? I am excited to see what tomorrow holds, I hope our teachers are tolerant."
Tulli takes a moment to process the conversation. “Oooohhhh. That kind of ‘company.’ Yeah, roomies would make that awkward. I’m…not interested in that. At all. I get why people like it, but it’s…not for me.
“That said, I’m not sure what my roommate situation is. I’ve always shared a room with either Mother or Frieda, one of the Druids who who trained me,” Tulli says, looking a little sad by the end. “I’m going to miss her and the others.”
Sensing what her words might do to the mood, Tulli shifts gears. ”Oh, but Amber, I like your poem! Those really emotionally intense type of poems, those are cool.”

Noey looks a little uncomfortable. "I, um, I don't think I could handle a roommate... so many awkward... awkwards." She shakes it off, "Um, no, we don't have to play that game, at least not without something stronger than cider. We'll play it sometime, Tulli, I promise. And besides, you guys want to get back and settle in, I'm sure," she glances at Amber. "And I really should spend some time actually thinking about school. I mean, that's why I'm here?"
She reaches into her slung purse for a crumpled schedule, flattening it semi-successfully on the table. "Do we have anything else tonight? Or is it just free time until tomorrow's classes?" She peers at the paper.
(DM > anything else tonight, or is it free (role-playing) time until classes in the morning?)

Amber goes on her sending stone to talk to people she knows from outside Strixhaven, but she keeps an eye on the group to see if anything interesting is going on.
Tulli takes another drink of her cider. "Oh, maybe we can go see the buildings where the people who officially joined a college live. That sounds interesting."

That actually piques Amber’s interest. She might not leave just yet.
Rhydian has been idly tapping out a rhythm on the table with his fingers, and his tail makes a counterpoint against the chair leg. "Exploring the campus sounds like fun. Maybe we can find someone who can tell us what the items from the scavenger hunt are while we wander around."
**OOC**: Sorry about being slow; work has been nuts these last few days and my brain is mushy.
"Oh! Shoot. I left my ugly little golem on the table back in the Biblioplex... actually, maybe that's okay." Noey does not seem all that put out. "I was kind of hoping for a cat. Sure, let's all go see how the upperclasspeople live."

Amber shows Noey and Bryella a poem she wrote called “Phantom Lover.” It’s not bad but a little heavy on the romantic and Gothic imagery.
”My main focus is writing poetry and fiction. Acting is just something I dabble in.”
Noey raises one eyebrow when Bryella mentions she hopes the teachers are "tolerant," but doesn't say anything.

If nothing else happens in like half an hour Amber says goodbye to the rest of the group and goes to her dorm to settle in.
Amber is impressed by Noey, likes Tulli and Bryella, and hasn’t really noticed Rhydian yet except for laughing at his one comment.
