(OK, so for marching order, I have Pernach, then Pepper, then maybe Cyril? Where do Kira, Ashe, and Caelyn line up?)
The door opens to a 10' wide, 50' long hallway made of stone tiles for the floor and brick walls that runs westward. Like most of the Academy's buildings, there are driftglobes suspended near the ceiling that provide light in the hall and each room. There are three doors on each wall (six total) and a set of stairs at the end leading down. Each door has a glass panel that allows one to look inside the room beyond - although two rooms are dark and one has a light blinking on and off. Most of the rooms show signs of a hasty scuffle, or perhaps a careless search. A couple of rooms have overturned tables. Whoever decides to search the rooms can make a single DC 15 Investigation or Perception check (Pernach already passed with his previous roll!):
With a successful check, you will find either a flask of acid or a flask of alchemist’s fire (I'll determine randomly based on your successes).
A set of stairs at the end of the hall leads to a lower level. These are sticky with an unfamiliar substance. DC 13 Nature:
You recognize this is like a slime trail like that left by a large slug or ooze.

Moving carefully, Cyril moves to check the first room they come to, motioning for the others to keep watch his back. His eyes flick from the overturned table to various points around the room, looking for anyone who might need help or some clue as what might of happened.
(Caelyn can be in 4th spot, going for a melee, hybrid, range positioning)
Caelyn will wait untill a few companions have moved in before carefully move inside the room keeping her bow up. Being a shortbow it allows her to turn a bit smoother without knocking into someone as quickly.
She will wander around checking the rooms that have a light by peeking through the window. Once she is convinced they are empty she will try and look inside. It seems they were looking for something.
Moving around some smaller items with the end of her bow so she wont have to touch it herself.

Kira goes over to the stairs, investigating them. She looks back at the others after a few moments. "There's an ooze of some kind around here. That or a big slug, but I'd say it's probably the ooze. It went down these steps."
“No teeth,” Pepper comments from a doorway. “So probably not what we’re looking for? Best leave it alone.” But she does look up at the ceiling warily.
"Good point; but it may be related anyway." Pernach scans the rooms for anything alive (or undead for that matter), remaining on guard and with his sword at the ready.

Standing at the top of the steps, you see that it descends about 10 feet into a workshop or laboratory...
The slime trail on the steps has dried enough that it is not slippery, but the entire floor of the 30'x30' lab is slick with fresh slime left from what looks like two giant slugs that slither about. (Map!)(Go ahead and roll initiative. They have not detected you yet, but you also do not have line of sight on them. Red slug init: 7 -- Blue slug init: 14)

Having taken a moment to slip the discovered alchemists fire into their pouch, Pernach continues to stay in the lead as the others stack up behind. It makes sense; warforged can't become zombies after all...Can they?
