When Caelyn looks back to them from the bar, Pernach gets up and comes to join him. Whether he needs a hand carrying things, or is trying to make introductions, Pernach is unsure, but is game for either.
Pernach takes the offered cup and looks at it curiously. "What is this? I've not seen it before. My name is Pernach; I'm just visiting Sharn for now."
At her offer of a rub and polish, they look over at Pepper. "This sounds like one of those innuendos you like to snicker at, or am I misunderstanding your humor?"
Pepper holds up her hands innocently. "I don't know what you're talking about, boss." She grabs a couple of mugs and makes her way back to the table, sitting this time so she can keep an eye on Coal.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Smelt snickers, confirming Pernach's naivety and her intent. ;-) She then has to wait on other customers and says over her shoulder as she goes, "Come back later, dearie. I'll show you what a chrome dome really is..."
Seeing the bartender move away to other customers Caelyn missed her chance to follow up. She grabs the remaining drinks and walks back to the table as well.
Well atleast we made an introduction. Im sure we can get some information out of Smelt. She then takes a sip of her drink , unsure of how it will taste.
Did any of you get some information?she asks looking around the table
Ashe realizes that in a bar full of warforged, most of them damaged from the war, most appear shady and forlorn at the same time. But nothing appears out of the ordinary...
Pepper says in a low voice for the others at the table, “Now that we know which one is Coal, who will approach him her? It should be Pernach and… Ashe? Cyril? Kira?” She looks at them. “I’ll have your back, but I’m not the one should go up there.”
As they discuss, she turns to Caelyn. “Have you seen a back exit? If he she bolts, we should be ready. I can step towards the front, in case he goes that way.”
You can see a door to a back room, but it is closed. You did catch a glance of Smelt coming out from there with a wooden cask. DC17 Perception
In the back of the room you caught a quick look at shelves and barrels of a starage room, and a back wall that meant it was no bigger than 10' deep. You don't know if there is a door to the outside or not.
Caelyn replies to Pepper, There is a back room there. she tilts her head just slightly to indicate the direction. I can move there to intercept.
Leaning in to Pepper to avoid eavesdropping Which one is Coal? she asks
After getting her answer she will take up her drink and move towards the back door where Smelt came out of. Trying to position herself so she has atleast 1 wall next to her for defense if needed. Meanwhile she will try to cover up her movements by taking a look at the games being played and congratulating any players if they win a round or hand.
When the others appear to have a plan, Pepper will get up and drop a few coins, gathering her stuff and moving to the front door. If she gets there without anything untoward happening, she will step outside, then turn and move to a place where she can see Coal through the windows or doorway, and wait.

(Sorry - windows are covered and the door stays shut...do you want to stay inside?)
"Ashe, why don't you go with Pernach. Maybe Kiara too? I can wait here and go where needed if the situation arises. Pretty decent distance from all the various things, it seems."
Cyril leans back in his chair a bit, taking a sip of his drink and smiling casually.
(No, Pepper will step outside, even though she can’t see what is going on inside.)
Pepper stays near the door, on the side on which it opens so the door doesn’t hit her when it opens. She Readies to grapple Coal if he comes out.
Lifting her wrist to her mouth, she says, “Bastards, I’m out front, visibility none, so warn me if he she bolts this way?”
(I’m using “Bastards” as the command word to indicate it should Send to the whole squad. They hear it in their head, and know who it is sent it, per the description of Sending.)
The scene so far: Pepper is standing outside with the warforged 'bouncer', watching who is coming in or going out. Caelyn is standing near the back wall and the door to the storage room.
Cyril is proposing that he stay at their table, and Pernach, Ashe, and perhaps Kira go to talk with Coal, who is sitting alone at the bar.
Pernach wanders over to the bar, mostly full metal cup in hand. They grab an open spot near Coal, and after a moment turn to him to ask quietly, "Smelt poured me a mug of her special warforged drink. I've not been in a forged bar before and didn't want to offend her by asking what it is. You ever had it?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Not wanting to spook Coal with too much company, before Pernach goes over to talk to her, Ashe murmurs some words of encouragement in order to give Pernach some bardic inspiration. The young man then hangs back, keeping within earshot of the conversation but trying not to appear as though he's eavesdropping.
Not sure if this is deception or stealth, but the modifier difference is miniscule. I'll use deception, but if DM would prefer stealth, just subtract 1 from the result and that's what I've got.)
