Not sure I can draw the 3d slope map. If your back is to the cave, you are facing SE, which is also downhill. The overall spur stretches NE like you are heading, but you have to go up NW or down SE first, then travel on top or next to the foothill

Climbing up is a skill challenge. State the problem you face, what you want to do about it, and roll the appropriate stat. If you succeed, roll effort. If the person before you failed, you should react to that failure somehow, not necc using the same skill. Everybody has to take a turn before you can go again. Same person cannot use the same stat twice. If there are 3 fails in a row, you are going to be taking the low road the hard way. Jade gets the first success on that WIS roll:
It was not clear how to start, there are no trails and the top is not visible. Jade scouted about, getting a feel for the terrain. In this case WIS checks are easy for her so she easily passes, with 1d4+1 (intuition) effort: 2...
it is DC 14, need 10 effort (8 more) before you get 3 fails
You can use whatever stat and story makes sense to you, just tell what difficulty you overcome. G used str, J used wis/ intuition. V can use those or different

ouch, the smart people miss at using smarts. You are allowed to re-try a stat if you did not succeed, just not re-do if you did. ie, Vrawl can try WIS again, but Jade cannot.
Gurag will examine his wounds as they consider the route, though he offers at least this much, "The high ground is always the better defensively."
Can he use Relic on himself? If so:
WIS: 20 and 7 healed on a success.

(I'm a little confused by the description here:
NW N NE <where we need to go, and boggy and down
W C E
SW S SE
Uphill ^ ^we're here
Is that right? Any chance of a rough map?)

(Ok, I was having a little trouble determining directions available vs target destination. I think that works.)
Shrutsena points off to the North-West path, "The hag said we should head in clockwise, that would mean traveling in from that direction."
"Clockwise once we reach the circle," Gurag says. "I don't think it matters from which direction we arrive at the circle. Still, I saw we climb."
"works for me." Jade says with a shrug. "Want me to move ahead and scout for danger?" Without really waiting for a response she moved ahead.

"Think our way has been picked for us." Vrawls says watching Jade disappear up ahead.

I think I get it.
Gurag attempt to free climb. If he makes it, he will unfurl a rope from his warrior's pack to hopefully help anyone else behind him.
STR: 14 - If successful, Skills: 1

Shrutsena accepts the help up with the rope and looks ahead to try and determine the safest route forward.

(Hopefully that makes sense/works.)
Oof, Shrutsena is brilliant but fails to spot the way, first miss.
