The wounded firenewt sits up on its pile of dwarven clothing and blankets. It licks one of its eyes as it takes a measure of Mica.
At last it answers in Ignan/Primordial:
Peace. I am wounded.
You have slain the others? They would not have surrendered this place willingly.
Then all is lost.
The metal doors? All the treasures of the dwarves are held there. The dwarves, then ours, then... yours, I suppose.
If you promise to spare me, I will show you how to open the doors. You will never solve our lock without me.

Meili did not understand a thing the newt was saying but the creature looked peaceful enough. Still, she was ready to act should the newt decide to be difficult. The previous fight showed enough weaknesses of the fiery amphibians to bring this one down.
Mica answers the newt in primordial “All does not have to be lost. Show us and we will spare you. This one tended to your wounds, we mean you no harm.” Mica gestures in the direction of Meili.
He turns to the others and responds to Nalomanterys “Yeah, the gauntlet should be down that path, along with the rest of the treasures of the dwarves. Our new friend offered to show us how to open the door if we spare him. Let’s go check it out.” He gestures to the firenewt to come along and heads toward the door.
Nalomanterys shrugs. "A fair trade. A life for treasure. Be wary of a trap, though... we will be posed on a narrow bridge above bubbling magma. I, for one, will not be within reach of this newt. Besides, if they knew how to open the door, why was the gate closed from the other side?"
Mica looks at Nalomanterys and shrugs “I will keep my eye on him, we’ll see how useful he is.” He prods the newt forward and orders in primordial “You go first, and no tricks.” Mica follows, but he takes Nalomanterys warning to heart and keeps his distance back from the firenewt.
Ran stays a little closer to the fire newt than Mica does, swords drawn. He can still feel the burning from the fire these creatures spew and he wasn't going to give this one time to send a blast their way. At the first sign of trouble he was going to run this newt through.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The firenewt is roused to its feet and it leads the party across the bridge over the magma chamber, Ranclose behind with sword ready for treachery.
The bridge over the magma appears sturdy and stong, wide enough to pass single file comfortably but not quite wide enough to cross side by side without difficulty. Once again, the heat on your exposed skin is hard to endure, like looking into a brick pizza oven. Below, the molten rock ungulates and bubbles.
The firenewt appears compliant, walking quietly at the fore. Danicafalls into line between Micaand Nalomanterys, with a suspicious Hewtaking up the rear and watching your backs. There has been no sound or activity from anywhere in the complex since your last fight. But for this final firenewt, the occupiers seem to have been eliminated.
Crossing over to the other side, the firenewt stops in front of the next obstacle. Two suits of dwarven half plate armor stand on either side of an adamantine-banded iron door. It is actually labeled in both dwarven and common script, identifying the door as built out of forged adamantium, and completely indestructible by normal means. These suits of armor were beautiful once, but now they’re scarred by weapons, scorched by fire, and smeared with filth. The door itself is actually labeled in both dwarven and common script, identifying it as built out of forged adamantium, and completely indestructible by normal means. You recognize the silvery metal as the same as that of the gate that Ranand Micahad struggled so valiantly against. The door has two locks, one above the other.
To your right is a small side chamber, mostly empty but for a chest with a strange red glow.
The firenewt pauses in front of the heavy adamantine door. He takes a breath and licks each of his eyes. Then he holds up a red crystal dangling from his neck on a chain. He points it toward the door.
He says in Ignan/Primordial:
This is the way.
He pauses again, still looking at the heavy door. He draws in a deep breath... and then bellows.
Ignan/Primordial:
Hear me, Mander! Imix' temple is defiled! Rise and destroy the enemies of elemental flame!
He turns. Despite his dull, amphibian features, there is an unmistakable gleam of hatred in his eyes.
[Ran, as you said you were waiting with sword ready, feel free to take a free attack on the Warlock.]

The magma in the chamber behind you begins to surge and bubble. The heat radiating from seems to intensify. As the molten rock churns, ripples in its surface hint at a shape moving within.... and then a creature reveals itself. Reaching up to grasp the support column of the bridge, a monster resembling a giant salamander - but made of lava - crawls up onto the bridge. It moves faster than you would expect of a creature with its size and composition. It positions itself in the middle of the bridge, and hisses a low, rattling challenge.

After so many days in these treacherous jungles, Meili half expected a betrayal, still, it was disappointing. However, there was no time for contemplation. With so many people between her and the lava-creature on the bridge, she could not reach it, but there was still something she could do.
Boomerang: Attack: 17 Damage: 7 at the monster
Then she glanced back. Should the newt still be standing, she would do her best to bring him down
(Flurry of Blows on the newt if it is still alive)
Ran'ssword plunges into the firenewt warlock. As its old would rips open again, spilling its insides onto the hot dry rock, it dies with a rapturous look on its face as the elemental horror rises up from the magma.
[Firenewt is down permanently. Just one baddie.]

Mica recoils as the firenewt screams in anger. Turning to see where the newt was looking, he sees the creature climb from the magma flow. “It’s a trap. Hew, watch out behind you!”Mica shouts as a warning. Seeing Ran run the injured firenewt through, ending that threat, Mica calls out “Can we flee through the door? Is there any way to open it?”
The large adamantine door at your back is closed. One could presume it is locked, given the runic warnings of its indestructible nature and its vault-like appearance, though no one has actually tested it yet. To your right-hand side (if you are facing the monster) there is an alcove large enough for most of you to duck inside of, but it looks like a dead end in there.
Meili'sboomerang clatters off the rock-like hide of the monster and starts to fall toward the magma below, before it reappears magically in her hand. She gets a few hard kicks into the side of the downed firenewt, just to be sure [You can take the ki points back... I just like to picture Meili savagely kicking the dead warlock].
Danicareaches into her pack and grasps her starmap. Her body becomes translucent and dark, a patchwork quilt of tiny stars appearing as pinpricks of light upon her skin. She lashes out toward the monster and an arrow made of starlight lances out at the large fire monster.

Ran’s shoulders sag a little when the boomerang doesn’t cause the creature any damage. Not sure if that was just an unlucky shot or if this creature is immune to anything that isn’t magic. Ran, it feels like you're pushing against the mountain itself. The door doesn't budge and it is quite locked.
[Let's say that took 5' of movement and a free object interaction to check the door.]
