At least the bloody things could burn! So far they were slow and clumsy, but there were way too many of them and it was comforting to know there is a way to deal with them.

Irmiel breathed another stream of fire, covering Twig 3 and Needle  3 7 (Dex 15 for half)

then blinked out of existence to appear in the more open space, that right now felt safer (SW of that bush/tree diagonal from Needle 3)  Misty Step

(the damage is non-magical piercing)

Irmiel breaths out fire once more....and then vanishes from within the lashing vines and appears in a safe location.

Dex DC 15 : Twig : 4.  Needle: 19

The twig burst into flames and then collapsed in the dirt, smouldering, while the spike covered monster gets scorched only slightly by the flame bath. 

Sistri again strikes at Vine 1 with her longsword, trying to get it out of the way.

If Vine 1 is not in the way, and if she can avoid an AoO, she would try to move a bit closer to Kris. (I'm guessing this won't happen this round.) 

Llwyd attacked with all his focus, commitment and sheer will, but did not expect the attack to go so well. The whip conjured by his spell crushed the monster to pieces, surprising the Satyr as other creature assaulted him. He tried putting the shield against the enemy, but was too slow on his reaction and wooden claws scrapped the right side of his forehead. The wound itself was not that bad, but any cut on the head tended to bleed considerably so ichor flowed over his temple.

“I am fine!” He shouted to his companions, fearing that inexperienced with medicine they would think he was in a dangerous condition and act in hurry. “Anyone needing healing?”

Normally he would verify as much by himself, but the creature in front of him kept his attention. Fortunatelly, though Llwyd, the cantrip is a melee attack. One with a particularly long range, but far from him to complain of this particular blessing of nature. Instead, he started whispering again, eyes flashing the light of wild and with a single hand move he lashed another thorny vine against his new aggressor. Part of him doubted the rudimentary spell would be as effective as before. A good strike was bound to happen, sooner or later. Two in sequence? He wasn’t so sure.

Sistri's blade lashed out. The vines were everywhere and difficult to miss....and the blade slashed through a good enough amount that the rest of the vine monster simply collapsed. She moves a bit closer to Kris to help watch her flank. Llwyd meanwhile continued with his whipping...the thorny vine lashing out and crashing into a nearby twig sending bits of it flying...though the creature is still moving. 

Kris steps close enough to take another swing at the twig creature near Llywd.

Meanwhile, Stallock was swinging both his blades around a short way from the rest of the group. 

He takes a swing at the one nearest him first....

then, depending on the result, moved over to take more swings at some other twigs (twig5, then twig4)

A couple of the twig creatures are slain as Stallock moves about the forest laying waste to them, as he works himself closer to the rest of the group. 

The spiky creatures move in closer in the meantime, flinging spikes at different party members.

A couple of the twigs close in, one on Sistri, swiping at her legs, while another attacks Stallock.

And one vine creature comes slithering through the lashing vines and tries to grab Llywd....

Attack: 20 Damage: 9.  If hit, Llwyd is is grappled (escape DC 12). Until this grapple ends, Llwyd is restrained.

Everyone's next action!

The time froze for a fraction of a moment and Irmiel saw herself hit by the spike (nasty look!). But this time she did not try to find the fork in the timeline allowing her to escape the ill fate. She used magic - a new spell she worked on for some time. It did not guarantee the result but what did? A silver line connected the spiky aggressor and Llwy, weakening the former and encouraging the latter.

Reaction: Silvery Barbs on the creature, attacking Irmiel. Buff is sent to Llwyd.

Now she did what she had to do at the very beginning - getting some protection from the physical attacks: Mage Armor

she did not have time to do more but was ready to meet another attack from the nasty plantoids.

Sistri continues the attack on the next most visible target to her, Twig 9.  She chops at it with her longsword.

If Twig 9 is still up, she will stay put.  Otherwise, she tries to work her way over alongside Kris and close to Llwyd (ideally within 5 ft of both of them, probably near to Vines 4).

His pessimism turned into reality as his attack failed to bring down the second target, Worse yet two enemies strike against him, both hitting. Strangely enough, the satyr feels no pain. He is hurt, and considerably so. He knows as much. He can see, feel, smell and even taste his own blood. But there is no pain. His mind wanders towards histories of the past. Of war and soldiers. The fever of battle, Llwyd notices at end. Vines around his body made movement almost impossible. Instinct told to try and break free, making himself stronger, assuming a stronger form, if necessary, but as a silver line connected to his body, reason told otherwise.

They had trimmed a good number of creatures and there was only one more like the one restraining the druid. It was the moment to attack. And a druid of circle could do just that while forgetting their wounds and pain.

“That is a good spell you got there.” He said as his eyes gleamed like emeralds and his formed blurred for a moment. Just like he had done on the day they met on Suzail and on the night of the attack at Candlekeep he changed into a form of a brown bear. His roar was an omen for his onslaught to come. Raising his now large arms he tried to struck the creature. Before knowing how effective or ineffective the attack was, he unleashed a bite.

Notes: Bonus action Wild Shape into a brown bear, claw attack (disadvantage nullified by the advantage from Silvery Barbs) and bite attack (brown bear's multiattack)

As the vines lash out to strike Llwyd, a silvery line reaches out and time, and the universe itself seems to inflect...just so.   (disadvantage roll on attack on Llwyd:  21) 

The vines still manage to latch onto him, slamming his body, but regardless, his eyes flash emerald and his form shifts into that of a bear. Restrained or not, the claw lashes out, that strange shift in the universe ends with a flash of silver, as the bear mauls the vine creature. Then bites into the neck of vines, tearing them apart and sending the whole pile of vines toppling to the ground, inanimate and destroyed. 

Sistri takes a swing at the nearest twig but her sword hits an upper branch and throws her blow well off of the target. 

Meanwhile, Irmiel casts a spell and an suit of magical armor seems to glimmer around her for a moment, and then is gone. 

Kris pushes through the bushes and attacks the creature eluding Sistri's blows. Attack on Twig9: 16 Damage: 12

Stallock meanwhile continues attacking the forest around him with fervor....

Kris's rapier slashes through the twig, sending bits of wood flying, the creature finished. Stallock meanwhile is like a wrecking crew, his first blow destroys a twig creature, then he lunges at one of the spike covered things and his blow sends the creature to the ground as a pile of thorns...and finally his third blow comes against another of the needle creatures, sending chunks of spikes flying, though the creature is still up. 

The creature attacks Stallock with spiky claws..   Attack on Stallock: 7 Damage: 5

Meanwhile, spikes continue to fly at others....

A twig creature jumps at Irmiel as well, swinging it's claws...

Finally, the last pile of vines trying to join the battle slithers across the ground, closer and closer and now almost within striking distance..

"Come on Kris, let's try and catch up with Irmiel!"  Sistri pushes her way through the brush and heads toward Twig 7 and to stand near to Irmiel.  She attacks Twig 7 with her longsword.

Magica failed to protect Irmiel from the first strike and now blood was pouring from the numerous cuts. She could not afford to allow another attack and yet, did not want to leave the spot just yet. Well, it had to be a complex move:

Reaction: Silvery Barbs on the jumping twig, attacking Irmiel. Buff is sent to Sistri.

Action: breath at the lovely lineup Twig7, Vines 3 and Needle 4 (I believe the cone covers them all) for  6  (Dex 15 for half)

If Twig 7 is dead - run toward Llwid (past him)

if the Twig is still alive and has AO then BA Misty Step (same spot)

Llwyd was not sure about what to call the thing making the body of the vine-like creature, but whatever it was he had managed to tear apar with his claws and fangs. The druid was genuinely surprised to see the ivy restraining his body fall off with the creature. Positively surprised. Standing on his hind legs he scouted the field of battle. The closest enemy was some fifteen feet from him. Not much beyond Irmiel gave battle to another. She is strong and can deal with it alone, he thought to himself noticing another constricting Blight. That was a target he knew better than to ignore.

Putting his arms at the ground the changed satyr started to run. First putting himself in front of Kris, then advancing fifteen feet in a diagonal line to northeast, then five feet east and finally five more northeast. Now standing in front of the Vine Blight he rises with a roar and repeats the barrage of attacks that destroyed its sibling. Maybe, he said with the voice of his mind, just maybe I can take it down. If not then at least he should be able to caught its attention, avoid any of the others having to deal with its constricting attack. He also believed the closest Needle to be likely to target him and now that he transformed, it would be better if it did.

Irmiel unleashed a blast of flames that ripped through the three enemies near her.  The twig goes up like a torch and then crumbles to the ground in flames. Free of threats, she backs away towards Llywd, only to have the bear charge past her. It reaches the scorched vine and its two claws reach out and shreds the scorched pile of vines into bits which flop to the ground.  Sistri rushes through the bushes to find her target a pile of ashes on the ground, but spots a nearby needle creature and her sword slashes through it, sending it to the ground in a pile of wood and thorns. 

Kris and Stallock are quick to end the threats of the last couple of spike spitting creatures and as quickly as it had begun, the battle is over.  The sound of wet forest crackling and popping with quickly dying flame is all the sound that remains, and the smell of acrid smoke fills the air around you.  This nest of blighted forest creatures is no more. No blood, only bits of vine and slivers of wood adorn your blades.  The fire is quickly dying in this moist, dark forest and in moments will be smoking charred greenery.

"Are blights like this common in this forest?" Sistri asks, the question most likely directed to Stallock.  As she speaks, she watches the dying flames, concerned for a moment the fire might spread but quickly relieved that this damp area prevents that. 

Her attention then turns to her companions, "And is anyone hurt?"  Even as she says this she sits down for a moment, trying to pull a few of the spikes that hit her.
