Greko stands out in the hallway seeing this monster run up on Rum and swing its weapon. Greko quickly casts guiding bolt at the monster.
To Hit: 1d20 (12) + 6 = 18Damage: 4d6 (4, 4, 3, 6) [magical radiant] = 17Effect: Guiding Bolt: the next attack roll made against this target before the end of your next turn has advantage, thanks to the mystical dim light glittering on the target until then.
Greko twinkles all over his body with shining arrows and hurls them at the monster.
Rum is ready as the horned creature rushes forward to attack, it had been too vigilant and staring straight at the door. I wonder how it sees, he thinks briefly as he flips back on his hands, his body arcing backwards just as the long blade slices through the illusion of where his belly almost is.
His body coils like a spring on his hands and he pushes forward, springing back to his feet over the next swing of the halberd, before ducking the butt end of it.
He starts to move around the thing as it is lit up with radiant energy, and some glowing arrows fly passed. Greko is doing his thing again, he thinks with a smile.
"That was a nice try, you almost got me. I love your horns by the way!", he says conversationally as he moves acrobatically around.
He keeps low as he closes the distance to the creature, spinning close to the floor and attempting to connect with the creatures calves. Now directly behind it he stands and brings down a foot to the back of it’s knee, then reaching for his Ki, quickly sends an elbow towards the back of it’s head.
Each strike that hits crackles with lightning energy, as he channels his draconic power.
Special: If he notices lightning doesn’t have much effect he will switch to magical bludgeoning. Movement: 15ft to close on creature then move behind it. Action: Draconic Strike (with advantage): (6,7)+8=15 Damage: 1+6=7 [Lightning] Bonus Action: 1 Ki point - Flurry of blows: Draconic Strike: 15+8=23 Damage: 2+6=8 [Lightning] Draconic Strike: 9+8=17 Damage: 1+6=7 [Lightning] Defense: Until he takes damage any attacks are at disadvantage against him Reaction: He does have reactions, will post again if applicable
Oten steps in through the door detaching his shield from his chest plate to mount it on his arm. He then starts circling around the creature until he has a clear shot and holds up his right arm. A small hole opens up in his palm, spewing forth a condensed stream of a viscous green liquid that spits up an oily smoke wherever it lands.
clink
The stream ends and a glass vial ejects from a compartment in Oten's arm, clattering onto the floor.
(Dex Save 15 or the creature takes 2d4 acid damage at the start of each of its turns.)
Ro rushes into the room to aid his allies. As he circles around the creature from a distance, he pulls out a chilli pepper and begins to chant, "If you seek combat to the death, I shall respond with an ice dragon's breath." The pepper's skin changes to an icy-white and Ro proceeds to pop it into his mouth. Finding a suitable firing position, the elf-dwarf inhales and puffs out his chest before exhaling a flurry of cold energy at the monster.
Movement: circle around the enemy to find a firing position that avoids friendly fire Bonus Action: cast Dragon's Breath Action: breath 15 ft. cone of cold energy at the monster. Monster makes a DC 15, dexterity save. Suffering 9 cold damage on a fail or half damage on a success. Concentration: Dragon's Breath (1/10)

Tuto grumbles and yanks at the sides of his hood. A warning in advance would've been nice. His head is still spinning from the last fight. Ah, well, you can't pick your peers. Tuto takes out his flute and, while keeping out of sight for the moment, casts Cure Wounds on himself.
Lelith still had minor injuries but she kept that to herself. At some point, Rumble spoke to her but she tuned him out, she wasn't really in a conversational mood. As it always should be, she did not have the attention of the horned creature. She aimed and then nocked an arrow at it, which completely missed its mark. At this point, her eyes were bloodshot and she was desperately chewing her lips to the point of drawing blood in an attempt at keeping her volatile emotions in check.
The creature remains completely silent as it is pummeled by the advancing Twilight Embers...and then it begins to fight back.
It begins to dance back, its feet working as if with a mind of their own, and it suddenly becomes much more animated, much harder to hit as it shifts its grip on its halberd and swings it in a hideously wide arc. It targets Oten as soon as he moves into range with an attack of opportunity; the blade of the weapon misses, but the butt catches him in the shoulder. It's attention shifts, and suddenly Greko catches a blade followed by the butt end, wounding him before the weapon continues to arc around. The blade glances off Oten's armor, but the butt end of the halberd catches him again.
The creature shifts focus yet again and begins twirling its weapon, trying to catch Rum, but is unsuccesful in pinning the Tabaxi down. It backs away with sudden knowing, moving toward the back of the room while the dense fog along the walls spread across the room...
Greko tries to find the enemy who slashed him with a guiding bolt To Hit: 2d20kl1 (5, ) + 6 = 11Damage: 4d6 (2, 4, 4, 2) [magical radiant] = 12 and some twinkling arrows. He popps out of the room into the hallway with his movement to catch his breath.
Rum watches the horned creature come to life in a flurry of motion, unable to resist being impressed by the speed of it.
“Oh my, you are quick!”.
He has speed on his side as well though, and as the creature looks to retreat into the advancing fog he whips out a foot aiming for it’s knee, trying to cripple its ability to move. The creature is too fast though, and he doesn’t connect.
“Very quick”, he adds as his attack misses the mark.
And then the fog moves in, and the creature is lost in it, obscuring his vision and making it hard to see the thing.
Remembering the steel mask it wears, and how it seems to be devoid of eye holes, he comes to the conclusion it isn’t going to be effected by the fog.
“Careful, I think it can see a lot better than us in this fog”, he whispers to the others.
He moves north and slightly east into the room, waiting for it to appear again, knowing it’s weapon could strike from some distance and not wanting to blindly follow it.
He stays wary, listening intently, and utilises the power of his belt to rejuvenate some of his Ki.
Reaction: (previous round): Draconic Strike: 7+8=15 Damage: 3+6=9 [Lightning] - Miss! Special: Passive Perception 17 to hear the creature. Movement: North 40 feet, a little east to put him just on the carpeted bit. Action: Utilise Dragonhide Belt to regain Ki - 3 Bonus Action: None Defense: Until he takes damage any attacks are at disadvantage against him Reaction: He does have reactions, will post again if applicable
Oten stands by the door and points in the direction the enemy ran off in, and his steel defender unlatches from his back once more. It scurries forward 10 feet until Oten closes his fist, signaling it to hold its position. He then tosses his glowing orb in the direction of the monster, hoping to get a better feel for its outline in the dense fog. His arm comes up, holding the javelin, ready to throw. Then he suddenly hurls it forward with a click, as if his arm had been spring-loaded.
Attack: 28 (crit) or 17 if attacking with disadvantage still.
Damage: 13 or 7
Steel defender: positioned so it will likely be adjacent to the enemy if it approaches to attack any party members by the door. If so, it uses its reaction to impose disadvantage.

With a twirl, and a quick pose, Tuto enters the fray, nearly tripping one he caught the size of this creature. Eh, he's fought bigger. He brings his flute up, his eye socket burst in blue fire, and his melody fills the room. Seconds after he started, the creatures halberd erupts in a brilliant blue flame as Tuto casts Heat Metal. (2d8 Fire damage, and DC 14 Constitution or the weapon is dropped if possible)
Lelith narrowed her eyes, she was more concentrated than she has ever been before. She could not miss, not now, and never from now on. What was an archer without his bow and his skills? Nothing. And she wasn't anything. She drew an arrow once more and nocked it at the creature's head, hoping for a dangerously lethal blow.
The room becomes far, far too quiet as the thing melts into the fog. Many things happen all at once. There is a blue flash as the thing's weapon is super heated by Tuto's attack, and a frying sound as its hands are burned...but no sound of the weapon falling. Then there is a meaty thunk as Lelith fires into the fog.
Then the thing steps out of the fog with its weapon twirling and hits Rum. The blade comes in low, hitting the Tabaxi in the legs to take him down. Then the flurry from the halberd erupts before the thing slinks back into the fog...
In the corridor outside the room, Kora approaches Greko and, seeing his injury, lays her hands on him and soothes his injury...
Greko pops back into the room quickly. He sees everyone staring in the same direction. He decides to fling a guiding bolt and twinkley arrows into the fog. He hears nothing but but the fizzling out of both attacks. He pops back out of the room and protects Kora
The horned creature appears out the fog and deals Rum a solid blow, the sheer power of it almost driving him into the floor and knocking him senseless.
He grits his fangs and the power of the dragon flows out of him, helping him withstand the majority of the blow and returning the force back at his opponent.
He remains on his feet, blood covering his fur where the halberd struck.
Strength Save: 13+3=16 (DC 14 - Success) Reaction: Gift of the Gem Dragon (Telekinetic Reprisal) - Damage: 8+2=10 [force]
The returned force is all it took. As the creature was swinging its halberd it was suddenly carried backwards into the fog, nailed by Rum's defense.
All at once the fog in the room started to clear, revealing the dead thing on the floor in the center of the room. It lay flat on its back, still gripping its halberd as the fog crawled back into the spaces it had occupied along the wall...
With a frown, Lelith walked over to Rumble with swift steps with a careful hand on his shoulder. "You should know better than allow yourself to be struck." She admonished harshly before pausing for a few moments. She had potions. "Are you alright? Is it serious?"

Oten bangs his hip a few times, and a barely visible sheen over his body flickers on and off a few times before dying completely. "In his defense, that thing was fast. Nearly landed a couple of blows on me. Burned through most of my shield. It eats up a lot of energy, so I'll have to recharge at some point soon. But first, what do we have here?"
Oten begins to look around the room, curious as to why this room was guarded so. Was there something of value being held here? Or was it meant to contain the beast they had just fought?
