Shavaris's attempt to strike the Archer fails, and the Archer just sneers at her as she slips the rest of the way over the table and lands on her feet.
"I love what you’ve done with your hair." She says as she squares off with Shavaris. "How do you get it to come out of your nose like that?"
The Tiefling stands, raising her hands toward Delphinium as she tries to calm the Fairy.
"Friend Delphinium...you're one of us! Look, the real imposters have revealed themselves!" She says as she attempts to bring the Fairy back to their side and fails miserably.
The Tortle rises next to her, trying to quell Delphinium's fury, but also fails.
The Bard presses his hands into his eyes, blinking his vision back to normal.
Delphinium is at first surprised someone else is fighting them. Who are they? Fireflight? They kind of like that name. The fairy smiles as the nickname kind of hits a cord they like and they kind of want to life up to the name. The group of fakes suddenly find themselves being entangled by plants and blinded with colorful magic. Delph isn't sure why this group came to their aid so fast but at the yell of "Imposters!! That is what you are!" the fairy starts to think this group helping them was tricked as well!
The other passengers seem to be getting clear of the fight and Delph was fine with this. They were only mad at the rude fake heroes after all. Seems they made others mad too! Delphinium has one of their fists open up into a big waving hand towards the other group and as he does so suddenly they feel a grasp reach for their mind trying to befuddle it. Confuse it. The fairy looks towards the tiefling who has their arm raised towards them as they try to convince Delph attack the group helping them. "What! You never mentioned fakes before! That's because you're not the real heroes! Now apologize for tricking me and them or Fireflight will keep punching!" and with that Delphinium urges their fists to attack.
They are not trying to kill anyone but rather send a message of fists. Teach them to be nicer and not lie! Lying always gets Delph so mad. Let alone insulting their mother. In a storm of movement the multitude of blue fists manifest and as Delphinium throws one, two and three punches his movement is mimicked by the blue fists. Delphinium sends one blue fist at the tiefling aiming for their center mass. A second fist heads towards the tortle's face as a glowing blue fist makes it's way towards them. A third fist Delph takes advantage of the blinding effect and aims a big blue fist right between the legs of the dwarf.
Johnathan tries to focus his magic on the bard to try and cloud is mind, but the chaos of the fight made his word very hard to reach him. That is when Johnathan notices talk of imposters and how THEY were fake. Johnathan starts feeling quite cross at these accusations, but he sees many people nearby and didn’t want to cause trouble. He turns to the imposters, Imposters you say. We weren’t the ones causing everyone to feel uncomfortable at some creeps fantasies. He stops and points at the bard, who looked quite pathetic at this point. Turn around now, you have had your fun. No one believes your story about you being some big shot heroes, walk away before the crew turn on you as well for messing up this evening. With that Johnathan gives a look to the audience who have had there pleasant meals interrupted by this madness.
Ethereal fists flew as the Fairy's rage poured out. The Tiefling's jaws got jacked and she squeaked, grabbing her busted mouth. Another fist splattered ineffective against the Tortle, who at least had the decency to look ashamed in the seconds before a third first connected with the Dwarf's balls. Air rushed from his mouth with an 'Uuumph!' as he grabbed his crotch and went down.
It wasn't just the Tortle that looked ashamed. Suddenly the Bard stopped and looked embarrassed and put off by the flying accusations. He looked at the Fairy, then at Dawn Guard, then down at the floor toward his grunting friend, then looked around at the two dozen or so other faces all turned toward him.
"Bloody hell!" Someone shouted from across the room. Suddenly the Firbolg Captain was storming across the dining hall, his head almost scraping the rafters overhead. "What in all Hyboria is going on in here!? Someone explain right now!"
Kerwyn stands up and says, “Well uh, those guys over there were pretending to be like us and rippin off our reputation, they were picking on that fairy over there, and then people started slapping each other and then it just got crazy! I got knocked on my ass and then they were like “Yo momma” and we were all like “Yo momma” back.” He pauses, looking all around, looking for support.
”They started it.” He points over at the faux Dawn Guard pretenders and then sits down in a huff, crossing his arms.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Delphinium seeing the fight is over and the perpetrators looking properly ashamed nods in success having taught them a valuable lesson of not lying. It seems they have some friends to thank for it as well. Delph takes a moment to focus and calm down his fighting spirit and as he does so the spectral hands slowly fade until they can't be seen. Delph hears Kerwyn saying the fakes were pretending to be them. They can't help but think they must be much better then who they were just hanging out with. They teased Delph a lot. Honestly, they got off lucky. Delph flutters towards the captain and says "They are big fat liars!" as they turn and point at the 5 they left with bruises. Delph then points to the ones who helped them and says "Those nice people stood up to help a tiny fairy like me. They were very nice! You should give them extra meals during the trip. Otherwise you'd have a group of liars on here lying to people and making them believe things they shouldn't! They also insulted my mother and she is the kindest, strongest momma there is. So they should probably be thrown in the brig too." The fairy gives one more glare of disapproval towards the fakes then flutters over to the more helpful group. They land right on the edge of the table and say "Hi there! Thanks for the help! I'm Delphinium but I don't mind being called Fireflight either. That name sounds impressive."
With the fight over and a new fairy friend apparently joining them, Shavaris sits down with an audible umph. She looks around for the barkeep to see if her mug can be filled. What a night. As the fairy introduces themselves, she looks on with a raised eyebrow but doesn't say anything. She decides to let the rest welcome them, she just wants the drink.
Johnathan stops talking as the captain questioned what just happened. To be fair he wasn’t too sure. Although the fakes were in the wrong in pretending to be the Dawn Guard we were the ones to start fighting first. But none of that mattered, Johnathan could see that Shavaris was still struggling with the information that was thrown at her. He sits next to her, ordering himself a drink. Shavaris, I don’t know what is happening with this ghost but we will work it out. He pauses. Johnathan gives a reassuring look to Shavaris, trying his best to comfort her. Johnathan understood the pain of lose, he knew that it could break a person. It can make them something they’re not. We will sort this madness out. That is when he notices Delphinium approach the table they’re on. The name is Johnathan. He orders the fairy a drink as well. Here, looks like you’ve had an interesting night.
As Delphinium looks at Johnathan she sees a young adult human with a black cloak covering most of his features. He has green eyes with a red goatee and very pale skin. His hair is curly red and messy, probably showing that he doesn’t keep himself presentable. He also had few weapons on him, just a couple of daggers and a crossbow, though they don’t look like they have been used recently.
Kerwyn joins in greeting Dephinium, “Hullo, I’m Kerwyn. That was a fine bit of fighting there. We showed them! Hah! Pull up a,” he pauses for second, considering his words and what would be appropriate for the size of their new friend, “a stool or a basket or something and tell us about you! We are headed to Eternia and specifically toward the Faron woods, which is where I grew up, or at least roundabouts there. It’s a small town, you wouldn’t know it. Anyway, what brings you here? Will you join us? You seem quite skilled with your fists!”
Delphinium sees a man who appears quite strong and agile, with an odd multi pointed star like object on his waist, wearing a medallion under his shirt, handsome but looking at the fairy with a dopey expression on his face, not skilled in conversation or tact like others at the table.
He sees the look on Shavaris’s face and reaches awkwardly across the table, fumbling for her arm to pat it and says “We’ll get back to you in just a minute, I want to talk to you about your sister a little more, but let the little one talk here for a minute.” He flashes what he thinks is a winning smile at her and turns back to the fairy to hear more.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Shavaris finally realizes there is a jug of the stout on the table on the other side of the fairy and reaches for it, "Um, excuse me, eh Fireflight? Going to need that eh jug there. Thanks." she manages to grab it and bring it back with out hitting the fairy, barely.
She smiles at both Johnathan and Kerwyn, she knows they are trying to be there for her in their own, um, unique way and she appreciates it. She has a couple swallows and slowly the stout helps her relax. She waits to hear more about this fairy and hopes they can shed some light on these imposters.
Captain Titus looks at the other band with disapproval.
"You lot told me you were on a mission from the Childlike Empress herself. I gave you a free ride." He said with all the guilt-shaming inflection he could muster into the matter-of-fact statement. He turns to the other group as they sit down and try to get back into their normal routine. He approaches the table where the Dawn Guard is sitting and raps the edge with his knuckles.
"I don't know if I should be commending bad behavior or not, but thank you for helping out squirt." He said with a flourish and a wink, pointing at Delphinium. "Though from the rumors floating around the cabin, seems the little fellow gave better than he got."
The sound of weeping creeps across the air as Uricai the Bard breaks into hysterics. The Dwarf is trying to hug him, but his arms can only wrap around his pelvis. The Bard buries his face in his hands and ugly cries as he storms out of the room.
"These clowns gonna be slaying the Golgothan for the rest of the trip. You lot just lay back and relax."
Delphinium gives a tiny and polite bow to each that introduces themselves. the tiny fairy doesn't seem insulted by those who do not but rather focuses on those who do. "Hello Johnathan. Hello Kerwyn." To Johnathan the Fairy says "I have indeed had a very crazy few nights. I seek the heroes of the empress but have had no luck. I thought they were them but now... I'm stuck on a boat with no idea where they are." As the drink is ordered Delph seems a bit curious and asks "Do you have the honey based drinks? What are they called... I've never really tried big folk drinks before now. I'm curious to try though!" Delph turns to Kerwyn and seems to size up the strong looking man and nods in approval. "No need to worry about a place to sit. I'm fine. As I was telling Johnathan, I seek some heroes. My home is in trouble and I was told to find capable heroes this way. Thinking on it... I probably should of gotten more information from that man Atreyu on what they looked like. Finding heroes is a lot harder then I thought it would be."
At the mention of a sister Delph looks between Kerwyn and Shavaris and says "Oh, so sorry if my lessons interrupted talk of family. I know how important that is! I have a sister myself! Questions for me can wait if you have important matters to discuss."
The fairy plops on the table cross legged and looking around. They move over out of the way for Shavaris to grab their drink when asked. The tiny fairy keeping an eye out for their own drink. As they wait and talk with their newly found acquaintances the captain speaks to the group and addresses Delph. They smile and say "If you don't know then I can help! It was good behavior. No bad intentions. You are very welcome for my help! I just wanted to teach them a lesson about not lying. It sounds like they cheated you of money too. Wait.... is going on this boat not free? They told me we didn't have to pay! Do I owe you money now? I will of course be honest about it! I didn't pay at all. Is there a discount for me being small? I don't take up much room after all. I can also fight as you heard. Us fairies need ways to protect ourselves after all. Never judge a person by their size. So if the liars fail I'm sure I can slay this golgothan whatever the beast may be!"
Lessons? Shavaris smiles, this fairy might be fun to have around after all. "My name is Shavaris. And you're fine, I uh, really don't want to talk about it right now. Tell us, why are you seeking us out?"
Aoe smiles as the fairy seems very eager… a feisty fairy to say the least. “We are on an important mission… coin just takes care of the daily issues if you will. Keep it… your aid in the quest is much more valuable than any coin you might give… though if you have trouble carrying it, I am sure Shavaris can be trusted to carry your’s for you and not pounce any off the top…” Aoe looks to Shavaris and gives a ‘are your capable of that’ inquisitive look.
“as for those, I’m sure whichever more mischievous of us may have another lesson or two to teach them yet about impersonating an official dawn guard… say… what are you doing after this ship docks? Where will you go little one? And so be sure I mean no disrespect…. Many of the best things come in the smallest of packages don’t they.” Aoe smiles and exudes a confidence of realization, lifting his eyebrows a few times, realizing fairyfists here may be a perfect addition to their consortium of mischiefs.
Delphinium looks at Shavaris and seems uncertain. "Hello Shavaris what do you mean by seeking you? Why would I be seeking you? Wait, do you know the heroes I speak of? Is that why you helped me earlier? You knew they were imposters? I seek the real heroes because my home is in danger. I was told various heroes are working to stop the Lord of Darkness and I was sent to find a group called... I think the Lawn Yards. They are supposedly working on stopping one of the lord of darkness' more evil deeds. I wanted to help them and then hopefully have them help my home." They seem to look at Shavaris for a bit. Obviously curious like they want to ask something but just before they do Aoe speaks up and grabs the tiny fairy's attention.
"I'm aware of coin... although I can't carry many. Why do you all make coins so large? I can only carry a few with me at a time. Very inconsiderate to fairies. It would certainly be good to know someone can carry my extras! For now I'm pretty good though. I have a whole 10 coins! Should be enough for 10 boat rides right?" As Aoe shifts to topics of after the boat ride they smile and reply "I'm all for extra lessons! Those men had the poor taste of insulting my mother you know. Shes a powerful druid too! Should I punch them again? As to once we dock? I will go to find the Lawn Yards..... or was it Fawn Gourds? wait, didn't you say Dawn Guard? that sounds right too..." Delphinium seem to be trying very hard to remember what they were told. They seem to give up as they shrug and say "I'm sure I'll figure it out. You're right, smaller packages I would say are the best! Better then big ones. More compact. Easier to carry too! I can carry big packages if I need to though."
Kerwyn pulls up a chair and straddles it from the rear, leaning in conspiratorially to the table, saying “Well, it’s like this. The Child Empress summoned us all, said there was this darkness spreading across the land. The Lord of Darkness slayed the Unicorn Stallion. We are supposed to find the Mare and keep her from harm. We think that we should start looking around the Faron woods since that is where the stallion was slain.” He looks around the table, locking eyes with everyone, speaking slowly and deliberately, like he is handing down knowledge from on high.
“We are the Auryn bearers, the Dawn Guard, the Light Bringers. Not like those shmucks over there. So you see, Fireflight, we are on a great quest. The future of the world, our future children, and our children’s children depends on our success. Seeing the power of your little fists of fury I’d sure like to have you join our team. Now, does that all make sense? Do you want me to repeat any of it?” He finishes with a self satisfied look. “Looky here, here is the Auryn itself. I’ll the bearer of it. So, that makes me pretty important I guess.” Kerwyn brings it just peeking out from the chest hair in his shirt so that you can see it and then he puts it away. Kerwyn gives you all a look of satisfaction like he just had a really good bowel movement, and he sits up straight in his chair, a smug half smile on his face as he gives the side eye to any of the faux adventurers left in the room.
He calls out “Good luck with the Golgothan. Just hold your breath, it goes better that way.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Smiling and beginning to strum his bandore and serenade the fairy:
”oh we are they though search you may
So come join us without a fuss
But if you would be oh so kind…
if you wouldn’t really mind….
please do tell us of your plight
from what land did you take flight?
where must we go on this dawn?
Whole world to save and carry on…
fireflight! what might you show!
On this night! Here just below!
This deck of needing help from those…
For where there’s evil we appose…”
Aoe ends abruptly and stops the strings from ringing on…then looks to the fairy with a look of sweet invitation, like singing to someone you’ve know for many years…
Johnathan just sits back as the rest of the Dawn Guard introduces themselves. Occasionally he would take a sip from his flask on his side, but mostly just remaining quiet. He keeps an eye on the crew nearby, making sure that they have some privacy. Delphinium, you are more than welcome to come along. He stops talking. Johnathan has many mixed feels about the fairy. On one hand they share a very similar goal to protect our own homes and he knows that no matter what he says the fairy will continue to fight, with or without the Dawn Guard. But he also knows the price when dealing with evil. By spending time around it you lose a bit of that innocence, that spark.
Johnathan knew that Delphinium couldn’t be stopped. He sees the fairy’s determination in the eyes. I hope Delphinium can protect her/him (OOC I’m unsure) self, the road ahead is dark and full of monsters he thinks to himself.
Johnathan returns to the conversation. If we are introducing ourselves then I guess you should meet echo. With that he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small black bat. It seemed remarkably calm, it didn’t fight Johnathan or start flying all over the place. Instead it sits on his shoulder. He is my friend.
Delphinium listens to Kerwyn but seems distracted as they look around. They seem to be looking at people as they walk by. Food and drinks seems to catch their attention as well. They seem fascinated by just about everything they are seeing. Certain phrases seem to catch their attention and eventually it get through their distracted fairy mind "Oh! You're the Dawn Guard! Right! Oh! That's the thing Atreyu told me to look for! Ha! It was easy to find heroes after all. I knew it would be! Well, that must mean... Oh! I see. The fakes were trying to steal your spot as the heroes. I should of known. Well, good thing we showed them what for. Anyway, Did you say Faron Woods? I know that place! Not as well as Kokiri Forest but I know it pretty well! Went there with my mother for her druid work when I was younger. I actually know a lot about forests. I was raised in one. Well, half. I would definitely like to help. I don't want a world of darkness and maybe by saving the Mare we can save my home!"
Delphinium seems enraptured by the singing of Aoe. It catches their attention almost instantly. At the ask of an invitation and a song of their very own Delphinium needs to think for a moment but eventually pulls out a musical instrument of their own and plays a very simple tune on a lute and sings in response:
"I'll join you all to your sweet tune,
I sought you all it seeeeems
I'll fight the darkness like the moon
and punch all of the fieeeends."
The song is definitely rough and not the best, doesn't help they have a very tiny voice but they are trying their hardest to reciprocate the song they were given. They seem to know how to play the lute but only just barely proficient with it like it is a recent skill. Delphinium seems a bit unsatisfied as they put their lute away. "I'm still terrible at that. My sister was showing me how to play before our home was in danger. Oh right! You asked why I seek you. The Lord Of Darkness has possessed the Great Deku Tree. I seek a way to kick his butt out and while I do this my mother and sister are trying to build a hidden safe haven for the animals, fairies and other creatures of the Kokiri forest."
At the showing of a small bat Delphinium lights up and flutters to sit on the shoulder of Johnathan right next to the bat. They use a bit of magic and their innate ability to cast druidcraft to make the faint and subtle smell of bats on themselves. "Hello Echo. I'm Delphinium. I can't talk to animals like my mother yet but I am a friend to them."

Aoe listens to the great story…
then begins to weave a song….
Smiling and beginning to strum his bandore and serenade the fairy:
”oh we are they though search you may
So come join us without a fuss
But if you would be oh so kind…
if you wouldn’t really mind….
please do tell us of your plight
from what land did you take flight?
where must we go on this dawn?
Whole world to save and carry on…
fireflight! what might you show!
On this night! Here just below!
This deck of needing help from those…
For where there’s evil we appose…”
Aoe ends abruptly and stops the strings from ringing on…then looks to the fairy with a look of sweet invitation, like singing to someone you’ve know for many years…
”so what do you say big guy? You in?”
