Johnathan watches as the armies begin to set up their defences. Despite his best hatred they actually have done a good job. They are ready to hold back the enemy and give them the time they need. Johnathan thinks back to the last time he saw this many soldiers. It was at the battle of the unicorn, though the goblins were on the other side at this time. Perhaps they were just following orders. I can’t forgive them, not for that, but they are trying to fix the mistake they have done. Johnathan reaches for his flask out of instinct but realises that he destroyed it. This was gonna be a problem later on but he should be fine for now. Johnathan moves over to lord Didymus commander. This is it commander. The dawn guard will get the attention of Blix while you hold the line. Johnathan stops talking and considers if he should say this to the fox. I haven’t really like you Sir Didymus when I first met you. I thought your over confidence will get us into trouble. But I see that your soldiers have your respect and to be honest you haven’t done anything against the dawn guard. For that I just want to say sorry lord commander. Johnathan raises his hand and pats the fox on the shoulder. Good luck.
Johnathan turns to the dawn guard. Right let’s get to work shall we. We need to get Blix’s attention for this plan to work. I have a feeling we might be too far to do that. Perhaps if we destroy some of those golems with a disguised Jareth then the goblins will tell Blix that we are here. Do we have any other ways to draw him out?
Travin flinches at the mention of Blix, but does look like he has an idea, as the group approach the new wall he observes the obstacles to come, he leans his junky frame up and gets Birt to lean down to him as Travin whispers something in the mutant Firey's ear.
With a deep breath and a freshly determined look on Travin's face, he pipes up, "Travin is ready, yeh yeh!"
Sir Didymus looks at Johnathan like he's seen an alien. He's obviously clueless as to what Johnathan meant.
"Ah, yes, quite alright! It is hard to appreciate tactical genius, Sir Johnathan." The Knight says as he bounces in the saddle and nods. "As you can see, my smell has been keen all along. Yes, yes, and today, the sun sets on the domain of Blix, and a great victory shall be had!"
Shavaris returns after a moment, a bit out of breath. Her eyes wild with excitement and a big smile on her face. She gathers her friends around and exclaims, "Eloise! My sister, she came to show me the way! Wait, sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself.
"I was able to sneak down in between the walls that our friends are making and the walls of the Goblin City. Guys, there are lots, and I mean lots of goblins ready for us. But at the same time? They are scared. They aren't ready for a front assault like this, not sure if they have ever had one. It looks to me as though their number is greater, but they are definitely afraid.
"That's not the best part though! Eloise, I told you, she came to help me? She found a way into the city that isn't guarded by goblins! And it's large enough for all of us to fit through, even Schmoopsy. While the goblins are distracted by Sir Didymus and his crew, we can get in and find Blix! It's a bit of a walk, but if we get going, we can get in before anyone notices us."
This all rushes out from Shavaris as she is also trying to catch her breath, she looks at her friends with hopeful anticipation.
Travin looks down, saddened by the plight of the goblins and their forced combat, he steps forward to Shavaris and turns to face the group as a whole, "Travin is sorry for his actionses last night, hmm? Travin has lots of confusing thoughts and nothing is easy, yeh yeh, but Travin also doesn't like to think of the goblinses confused, frightened, fightings for Gavin, because of what Travin did... Maybe, Can Travin try talking to thems first? Persuade them to comes out and not fight? Could anyone makes Travin loud enough? Hmmm?" He looks pleading and thoughtful, for the first time his idea seems to consider others first.
"Travin, that might not be the best. I know not how this goblinification works, however they might not remember before. If we can get to Blix, and either talk him down or disarm him I think it will be the better option." Ward says to Travin

He puts his hand out to Ward trying to take his hand once more, a reminder of the night before, with Ward in his illusory form, but also a way to punctuate his desperation.
"I understand that, but we can't stop the war from here. And I fear what Blix may do should his troops lay down their arms here. Our best chance is to hold the Goblin Army at a stalemate while we disarm Blix. Once we have captured him, then they will lay down their arms. Travin backs off a little, looking down as though chastising himself.
He then perks up quickly and swings about walking very jovially up to Gorky, he begins talking conspiratorially with the goblin, in goblish, and he digs around his pile producing and handing over a full set of goblin sized plate mail armour and a scimitar.
He then begins writing a note to himself which he puts in an easy to reach pocket. He now looks determined, ready for action, "when shavaris is ready, leads the ways"
Once Ward and Travin finish their exchange, Shavaris nods to Travin and smiles at Kerwyn. "Right, now, let's try and be as quiet as we can - hopefully our distracting army will provide the cover we need. Also, there is a ton of boulders, bushes, and other debris in between the two walls, so that should help as well." She climbs on top of Running Bird, patting him on the side as she does, and leads the Dawn Guard the way she had come... continuing on, for close to half a mile, to the crack in the wall that Eloise showed her earlier.
Kerwyn is on Ironsides, very excited as they are headed into the city to finally accomplish their goal! Ironsides is slithering along, fairly stealthy for a snail of his size all things considered. A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Delphinium never found the answer he sought and instead ended up taking a nap before the battle. They thought about taking only a short nap then finding the fairies to see if they could get them to help but unfortunately for the tiny fighter they slept in too long and the opportunity was lost. Soon, the battle was upon them. The goblin city before the fairy's eyes as they look upon the wall itself. Two giant mechanical creatures seem to be guarding the gate but the goal isn't to storm the gate it's to keep the goblin's attention and let the Dawn Guard sneak in and hopefully show Blix there is another way. Delph is really hopeful to help Blix be good again for Tavin's sake.
For that cause, Delphinium lands on the shoulder of Travin. They seem unusually quiet but they do say to Travin. "I can be right here on your shoulder with you when you meet your brother if you like. Are you scared? I tried to imagine my sister being evil... it was a scary thought. I'm glad she's not but I'm sad your brother is. I think you can reach him though as long as he believes it's you. Also as long as we can convince him you still love him. Oh, and that you tried so hard to reach him that you got trapped for many years and even lost most your memories... but not of him. You held on to that one over all others. At least, that's what I understand happened."
Delphinium gives a tiny thumbs up for being ready to go and will follow the group.
The bird man continued his navigation of the no-mans-land between the two walls as Dawn Guard moved past him in the direction of the gap in the wall. He shakes an incredulous fist at the myriad Goblins running up and down the wall, many of them now focused on throwing things at him, taunting him, laughing and giggling and making of him a great sport, a distraction. It's unclear what he's doing there, but he doesn't appear to be having a good time as the guts of a rotten tomato drip off the blathering bird-thing sitting on his head.
"Ah, ye Gods!" The bird squawks as it looks around in some state of shock. "You...you...you ultimate beasts! You transcendent barbarous ruffians! How dare you!"
The Goblins continue with their sport, and perhaps this is why they don't see the Dawn Guard who are trying to maneuver their way through the no-mans-land and to the gap in the wall. The gap, overlooked by the maintenance Dwarves for who knows how long; decades, centuries, it's unknown; is wide. Even Ol' Ironsides and Running Bird are able to make their way through the gap, though the bird has to duck, and then, inside, they see the houses of the Goblin City.
There are patrols moving around the town, small patrols of small numbers of Goblins. There are Goblins going back and forth carrying weapons and materials to the front lines. There are chickens...thousands of chickens...moving about the city in flocks. There are small chickens, normal chickens...and chickens that are gargantuan for what they are. Some are merely humanoid sized...and some would stand eye to eye with a Goliath and never have to flinch. These chickens look like they came to ball, and if poultry can look downright mean, these look ready to slap your granny and take her dentures.
The city is laid out like the capitals of many cities; it's designed to be confusing. The houses themselves build a sort of maze, with many dead ends and cul-de-sacs to get trapped in. Houses are built to look identical, and the same fountain keeps getting spotted over and over again, with the likeness of Dwarves carved into the base, each holding a phallic waterspout from their crotch. Only the spout on the farthest western side is leaking water in all these fountains. It's as if they mimic one another like the houses do.
A horn blows from the direction, or at least the perceived direction, of the gates, and then there is a mechanical grinding, followed by the howls of Horned Beasts and the barking of the numerous Lupine Knights. There's a whump like the sound of a giant footstep...
In response to Delph's offer Travin gives a weak smile to the fairy, "Travin will do the best Travin can, yeh, happy to have Fireflight here too, on his throne, hmmmm"
As they make it through the wall and onto the city streets Travin closes his eyes, concentrating, looking inwards, he imagines a crystal orb, perfectly clear, holding immense power, the ones Jareth's uses.
Slowly turning on the spot he blows a low high pitch tone on his pipe, using the magical vibrations to pinpoint something that sonically reverberates back to him.
Johnathan holds out his silence stone as Kerwyn sings. He considers using his limit resources to buy himself some quiet time. He signs a little and puts the stone back in his pocket. I swear if we get caught because of your “singing” I will be pissed. As they continue Johnathan gives a stare to the chickens. He wonders how they taste and if the size changes it at all. But this was battle and feasting would have to wait. Right Shavaris, where to next? Johnathan examines one of the larger chickens. If we need to get through this city I think I can cast an illusionary chicken for us to hide in if we want, or we could just go for it. They do seem distracted. Johnathan points to one of the larger chickens as they walk by. It would be difficult to maintain the illusion while people walk but it was an option of worse case scenario. Either way, I still think we need to get closer before we summon Blix.
Ward pauses as he hears the gates begin to open. Sighing and standing still as he things. “Fight well my friends.” He says before kneeling down and casting Conjure Animal, 8 small bats appearing in front of him. “You are their best hope feathered folk.” He says, before taking out 4 firebombs, tying it onto 4 of the bats and taking 4 torches and affixing them to the rest of the bats. “Firebombs, fly these vials into the metal beasts, the centerpiece where the goblin is piloting it. 2 to each of the metal things. Smash the vials against it. Then you with the torches, knock them into the napalm and set it alight. Cook the pilots.” Ward says before waving the birds off, waiting till just before they leave range to Druidcraft the torches alight. “I hope that helps.” Ward says before joining with the rest of his the party.

As Travin stops turning he points directly to the castle, "Gavin is up there, just as expected hmmm. Travin will track if he moves, yeh yeh, ten minutes..." He moves forward Delph on his back, keeping an eye out for any goblin squad on the way.
Shavaris recognizes the large chickens from when they were at the carnival. A shudder goes through her as she remembers the awful fight with the harpy and how the ringmaster died. Since it appears as though the chickens aren't a threat at the moment, she ignores them.

I thought I could navigate us through the city." She kicks an errant rock with her foot and doesn't meet anyones eyes as she apologizes for starting them back at the beginning.
