(Bearkiller takes his rapier and lunges at ruffian 2, with advantage for flanking with Thallan)

(Bearkiller puts the sword through the belly of ruffian 2 and he yells out in pain)

"Keep up the pressure boys, these ruffians don't hold all the cards!"

If my math is correct.  Ruffian 2 is near death after Bearkiller's attack and Ruffian 3 is weakened from the magic missiles earlier.   And Ruffian one is on the ground like a chump.

OldMan casts magic missile sending 1 dart to finish off Ruffian 2, and 2 darts after Ruffian 3.  Great roll!!!!!  Our luck is changing boys. Each dart is doing 4+1=5 damage.  This should end the life of both Ruffian 2 and Ruffian 3.

OldMan's rage at seeing so much of his companions' blood spilled on the street and his excitement to have a huge ally join their fight gives his spell casting some extra power from within.  As he shouts the incatation for the spell he focuses on two of the wounded Ruffians.  One dart flies out of his hands plunging into Ruffian 2's already gaping stomach wound from Bearkiller's blade.  He screams in agony and slumps over dead.  The other two darts glowing brightly, fly into the face of Ruffian 3 who screams from the pain and drops over dead.  OldMan yells to his band "Let's take the fight to them boys."  

Ruffian 2 & 3 crumple to the ground, dead. Ruffian 1 & 4 remain with Tubard up and Ruffian 4 on deck.

Following his first attack, Tubard is increasingly frustrated that he is failing his new companions he wildly swings his great axe with advantage while Regula flanks (11+5=16 hit!). It strikes Ruffian 4 in the thigh dealing 6 damage. Surely this intolerant Ruffian is drawing his last breath.

As Tubard strikes Ruffian 4, the ruffian staggers back, gravely wounded, but still upright. Gritting his teeth, he ferociously swings his multi-attack at Regula (only one attack hits, dealing 7 points of piercing damage).

Regula lets out a guttural growl, "Enough of this!" and swings his longsword at Ruffian 4, slicing clean through the ruffian as he crumples to the ground. 

Ruffian 1 seeing all his comrades fall quickly tries to make a break for it to the alley. Since he is breaking melee, OldMan, Galben, and Regula all have opportunity attacks.

(Galben swings his fist at the ruffian trying to escape. He punches him in the shoulder)

(Attack 13+2=15) (Damage 1+0=1) 

"Don't let him escape, maybe we can question him! I think he might have a bruise on his arm later from my fist of fury."

OldMan swings at the escaping Ruffian with his quarterstaff and misses.  6+4=10 to hit.

Regula swings his longsword at the ruffian as he passes (16 to hit), causing 10 points of slashing damage.

The ruffian is gravely injured as he moves through the gauntlet of attacks but is still alive and he moves into the alley, attempting to escape the altercation heading toward Tresendar Manor.

What would the party like to do?

(Galben nocks and arrow and true to hit the ruffians unconscious. 6+7=13 miss)

(Bearkiller grabs a dagger and throws it at the ruffian. 3+5=8 miss)

Jake launches sacred flame at the fleeing ruffian.  

He readies spare the dying in case he is actually successful, in an effort to spare the ruffians life (and keep him for interrogation.)

Tubard attempts to grapple the Ruffian (2+5=7 strength athletics test). 

Jake's spell is successful as the ruffian is consumed by flame-like radiance as he takes 3 damage and collapses to the ground. As Jake casts his second spell, the ruffian returns to consciousness, stable on the ground, looking around confused. "Wha- wha- what happened?"

Tubard attempts to grapple the ruffian but is unsuccessful but he doesn't appear to be going anywhere at the moment.

(Galben nocks an arrow and aims at the ruffian, preparing to react to any type of aggressions)

(Bearkiller picks up his dagger off the ground, kicks the ruffians short sword towards Galben, and pulls out his rapier and holding the blade at the ruffians neck)

"Well done Jake, (looking at the ruffian) we have a few questions for you. (Looks at the group) Ask away."

Jake stands over the ruffian on the ground.  "You have got to be one of the stupidest, most incompetent thieves in this whole region.  What made you think you could get away with strong-arming a group of 6?  Couldn't you see you were clearly outnumbered? You're either the dumbest petty stooge out there, or your boss doesn't like you.  I'm thinking he was tired of feeding your sorry ass and wanted you off the payrolls, so he sent you to us to take care of you.  Where is he so we can submit our dry cleaning bill?  Or would you rather we take payment out of your sorry hide?" Jake says all of this in a low growl, while dangling his mace over the ruffian's face. intimidation  8

OldMan strolls up and asks the group, "I have a handy spell that may be of use for this loser (Charm Person).  Intimidation worked well with the dimwitted Goblins but I wonder if something more would benefit us here. Plus we could take him elsewhere to interrogate him at length."

OldMan appears to be fumbling in his small fanny pack and purposely drops two fingers he took off the goblins right in front of the Ruffian. 

"Oops.  My apologizes these are souvenirs from the last interrogation.  He lived but won't be wielding a sword anytime soon."

Oldman prepares to cast the spell depending on the group's opinion.

(Bearkiller looks at OldMan and Jake)

"It's worth a try"

(Galben lowers his arrow seeing that the situation is at hand ans collects the shortsword in front of him. Then collects the other three shortswords and starts looting the three dead ruffians)

(Tubard silently nods approval of the Old Man's plan)

OldMan casts Charm Person on the Ruffian.  

(Galben takes the 3 sets of studded leather armor off the dead ruffians. He takes of his leather armor off and replaces it with one of the sets of studded armor and continues looting the 3 dead bodies)

"Anybody else looking for an armor change?"
