As shocked as anyone Escarin nearly fumbles in his casting as he sees the human burst out from the undergrowth. Taking a breath to refocus he looks out at the hatchlings determined not to let them use their breath on the companions again he hurls twin bolts of magic at the closest of the creatures.

"Keep moving these things can breathe acid - stay behind us."

The combined attacks of Xorn and Escarin brings down the hatchling. (1) 

Kinlin sends arrows into the rushing one and hits a soft spot. The small black dragon changes his course to attack the kender. 

Tyrros gritting his teeth in pain tries to finish the wounded black hatchling facing him. Attack: 22 Damage: 8 and Attack: 13 Damage: 8

The draconian coming after Bryony is taken aback by the sight of the companions but goes foward toward his intended prey.  He stops at Xorn's level to hit him. He can't move forward without risking to be hit in the back. Snarling in hatred he lashes out. Attack: 25 Damage: 13

Geoff takes out the Staff as he drops his spear momentarily on the ground. "Staff, grant me the power to heal his wounds!"

He presses it on Tyrros's body, and visualizes it restoring his strength.

Cure Wounds 12 HP restored to Tyrros. (1 charge)

The light of the staff shines over Tyrros and you all see the burns and melted flesh be restored. Tyrros gasps in pain and then in relief.

Shan, from behind the tree she is trying to see the spellcasting creature, takes one second to assimilate everything that is happening. Magical healing. She saw it at the Last Home Inn, when the staff healed that mad man. She has seen it when Geoff has heal the companions during their last adventures, but seeing it again, how that blue energy covers the wounds and the flesh closes anew... Did Geoff feels the same ecstasy as she did when she uses her magic? did it hurts when the wounds start to close? She must admit that part of her wishes to feel it. She chuckles inside her head. Less that one week in the company of the kender and she is already starting to think like one. But that magic, that and the missing stars in the sky... that will change everything. They must accomplish the mission that the Lord of the Forest told them and reach the city. They are so close. 

And what was that? Dragons? Did she just killed a pair of dragons? Were these the dragon Alex saw? They are little, at last much more small that the tales said, like if they were younglins, but if there are younglins that could mean that there are much larger ones to breed, and that... the implications that it has... 

She was starting to feel dizzy. And what in Solinari’s name were that creatures that were attacking them?! They looked like lizardmen or... she gasped...like half-dragons... draconians... the word came to her head trying to catalog something strange, and weird and scary. 

She shook her head. She must focus, a lot of things were happening yes,but if she doesn’t focus they all could die and all will be lost. She tried to concentrate in hearing arcane words from the path that the girl said the creature will come from.. 

Xorn glances over at the staffs energy pouring out with a curious glance. ”What kind of magic is that!?” He raises his shield non chalantly to parry a clumsy blow from the lizardman chasing the newcomer. Xorn’s attention squarely back where it should be... he raises his axe. ”Fear not lady! You are safe now!”

Byrony is granted temporary hit points of 4

“I knew that staff you carried was important, but I had no idea!” He adds  

Xorn May need explained to about the importance of these lizardmen. Currently he has not put together that these creatures are dragon-like. To him they are another enemy to be put down at the edge of his axe. 

Geoff, completely stunned that his cry for help was actually heard, has a look of shock and surprise on his face as he looks over to Xorn and Tyrros with a look of shock on his face.

Looking back to his staff, he still looks completely surprised.

"Amazing...I didn't think that would actually work. I don't know what came over me...can this be a sign from the old Gods?"

His monologue is broken when he realizes the situation of the fight still needs his attention, so he maintains his discipline and raises up his shield again beside Xorn

The charging dragon stops turns its head and spews forth green acid at Kinlin. Save Dex 11 for half dam of 20.

Number 3 and 4 will attack Geoff and Tyrros respectively.  Geoff: Attack: 12 Damage: 6, Tyrros Attack: 24 Damage: 15

Shan hears a faint rustle of a robe getting snared in bushes just east of her, ( Around H5 to be precise ), something is moving there but for now she doesn't hear any spell being cast.

Seeing another burst of acid strike one of his companions Escarin curses and aims another salvo at the hatchling who attacked Kinlin.

"Finish this quickly, that breath is lethal."

Shan waits a little bit more, waiting to hear the magic words that will show her enemy. She could cast a spell that will hurt the invisible caster, but the risk that it wouldn’t be enough was too high. She had to wait that he reveals himself, even if the creatures were to dangerous and with her help they could end that threat earlier. 

The flash of light from the staff and the miraculous healing that follows takes Bryony's breath away.  In those feverish few seconds of combat, her head reels as she at last finds evidence of the Gods...in one of the last places she'd have ever expected to find them.  

No time for that now, though.  

With the giant minotaur fending off the lizardman behind her, Bryony brakes and reverses.  She sweeps her hand through the dirt of the ground, bunches it up and hurls a handful of soil and leaves into the eyes of the draconian still trading blows with Xorn.

OOC: Still no weapon so...using the Help action to hopefully give Xorn advantage on his next attack?

Geoff sees kinlin get splashed and damaged by acid, but manages to avoid half of it harmlessly hitting the ground. He figures he might be able to use the Staff again if need be.

He says to the unknown person (Bryony), "If you're on our side then use my spear if you need it!"

He kicks it towards her feet.
