Anglos manages to slip through the creatures grasp as a shimmering field of force comes between him and it's tongue-like appendage. "Damn booyahgs and thar' hoodoo!" it yells as it begins to feel woozy. It's tongue wagging about.
Wisdom Saving Throw: 21
Soon it he realizes it doesn't hate the booyahg. No it likes him very much. And with one big lick, runs its tongue along Anglos face.
Anglos pats it on the head, “Good boy. You remind me of the rockfish of the shoals, or the cuttlefish. Are you a creature of the sea as well?” Anglos bellows once more.

The mimic looks at Anglos, "Aye, don't you member? I from Baldur's Gate, I member of the crew!" he says lapping at Anglos face, taking some scales along the way. "Pft, booyahg too salty. I like sweeeeps..." it then sprouts four legs and says, "Wego get something sweep! I want sweeps"
Douglas, a kobold prep cook/dishwasher runs about the deck of the ship collecting empty plates and mugs. He carries a crate of dirty dish below deck to the cook room. Pushing his scrawny back against the door, his nostrils are filled with the scent of various spices and roasting vegetables. The door opens to Salty Joe chopping onions, his white kinky hair held back by a bandanna prevents the sweat from rolling in his eyes. Douglas plops the dishes into a nearby soap barrel. "They feasting up there Salty. What do we need for the next course?"
Salty Joe stops chopping and heads over to brick fireplace to check the stew. Just like he thought, the taste was a bit off. “Mmm, the meat’s starting to turn. I told the capt’n to stop for supplies but no he wanted to raid... Well, at least our last job wasn't completely useless.”Salty pulls out Heward's Handy Spice Pouch and puts a double dash of Lawrys Seasoning in the mix. He tastes it again, “I guess that will have to do.” Salty turns to Douglas, “After you are done washing dishes go ahead and finish the prep for the meal tomorrow. I’ll take the stew top deck.”
Salty carries the hot iron pot with the grace only a cook who's been at sea a while could manage. He plops it down on the main table for the crew. He bellows, “Hot stew! Hot and stewey! Eat it up before it gets cold you crusty bastards.”
As Salty Joe heads back below deck he hums tune to himself.

Anglos pats it on the head, “I believe I have heard of those. I will call you Sweeps. Let us go get ‘sweeps’ for you. I believe the kitchen may have some. Come.” Anglos heads to the kitchen and requests sweets!

Salty stares at the Fish-man after he makes his request. "Look, all we got right now is stew, dried meat, and biscuits." He points to portable stove in the corner. "If you can convince the Captain to take us to shore then I can bake us up something real nice once we hit dry land."
"Oh, buddy!" Salty Joe smiles at the mimic. "I didnt know you were talking about THIS fella." I picked up something special for him a while back. Salty goes to a cupboard and pulls out a bag of rock candy. Each chunk of rock candy is shaped to look like a gold piece. He hands the bag to Anglos. "Now don't give it to him all at once. It will make him sick, which would be hilarious, but DON'T do it."
Tanne resumes his duty rigging lines and hauling crates aboard the Maelstrom. He starts by tying his hair back with a leather strap, then draws one of his daggers. He throws the dagger, striking a cleat which loses rope lowering another plank to the Flying Dromos. Tanne boards their newly acquired ship to haul back whatever they can carry. Tanne notices that the other laborer's aren't too enthused, he beings singing "What would you do with a drunken sailor." It's less effective than he hoped.

"Who could say no to a bit of stew?" Ceketa says, brightly, to no one one as much as to anyone close enough to hear; she takes a seat at one of the crew tables, spoons a bowlful, and takes several rather noisy sips of it. She winces a little at the heat, but even that ends mostly in delight, as if the very fact that it is hot enough to burn the roof of her mouth is its own kind of miracle. "Compliments to the cook!" she shouts, vaguely in the direction of the kitchens, as she rises for seconds; it's not the first -- or second, or even eighth -- time she's voiced the same eager reception, but she's found these parts have vastly underrated the wonder of a warm meal.
While hauling back the last of their cargo, Tanne sniffs the air.

"I'm going to be really disappointed if dinner's ready, and we're out here doing all the work." A few shouts of agreement ring back. Tanne lowers the crate on the deck of the Maelstrom and heads for the chow hall.
