Mikram chuckles darkly at Kroshav's exuberance at nearly dying and goes about directing him how to correct his mistakes, as much as possible,
"Aye thought ye were listening the other days... Least ye are leaving the supports where ye need to... Is that poor man's mithral there? Nice seam of it too. Leave it."
As this is going on outside of Kroshav's head, inside his head he has the familiar bored sigh of Sword to keep him company.
<Just rocks. You are killing rocks. All day. Can a rock even die? I doubt it.>
Followed by an even longer sigh.
On another mental line Ealu pings in,
<Kroshav? There is something out here. I didn't get a good look but I definitely saw something. Something on the ground, in the snow sorta like you on two legs. I saw it and it saw me seeing it and it didn't care until Cladmir came out to play in the snow. It is way far off, but not so way far off that I couldn't see it.>
"Kroshav? Ye puny half-dragon pay attention, ye can't just stand there. Are ye listening to meh?"

Ernos is spending most of his type blinking stone dust on his eyes. Stepping outside for a clear breath of air, he sees and hears nothing beyond a white blob he assumes is Ealu.
The horse maybe does give him a look? Or just shifts. So much dust.
Mikram rolls his eyes and mutters something about,
"Small bladders."
As Kroshav walks away.
Ealu sends back,
<Standing by the entrance. And over there.>
Somewhat helpfully.
Once out Eula shows with her head where over there is, to the southwest. There are a number of trees, boulders, what are probably snow covered boulders and snow drifts in the direction she indicates. As Kroshav looks in the indicated direction, there doesn't appear to be anyone/thing moving around.
"Yes, switch paths." he agrees. And when he hears there is a possibility of a long fall, he is glad he can fly a bit when needed. (How quickly can he activate that power?)
(( Sorry was on the a work trip and got back just in time for the long weekend -- was a lot busier than I thought! ))
Cladmir looked up as Kroshav called out. He has somehow lost track of time as he went through the motion of "preparing the defense" and was completely unaware of his surroundings. It occurred to him that at first he thought he was seeing things in the shadows and now he is loosing focus entirely. Maybe he's getting a cold?
(( Cladmir is still lost in thought and somewhat out of it so if anything happens that requires him to react quickly his first roll is probably going to be at a disadvantage. ))
Cladmir is too involved in his own inner shadows to pay more than the minimalist attention to his surroundings. He does follow Kroshav outside, where he sees some more shadows and a lot of snow.
---
Jaq finds this path to be tougher going, the trees aren't more dense but there are several valleys and drops that make the way more treacherous. At one point, just cresting a hill Jaq pauses in taking his next step. The ground just ahead of him looks much like the rest of the ground around him does - smooth, snowy and icy - but looking to the left he sees an indent in the surface of the snow. Following it with his eyes he sees the indent becomes deeper and wider in the snow until it goes so deep he can't see it from his position. Looking to the right the snow is just as smooth as in front of him. Gently testing the snow in front of him with his foot doesn't reveal much, it seems solid enough.
The bugbears, having spread out, will reach Jaq's position at different points to the elf's left and right shortly.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The bugbear all stop and Thir does a quick translation, probably.
The ones on the left look at the depression in the snow before moving towards Jaq while the ones to Jaq's right, seeing nothing at all, keep moving as Jaq moves.
A bugbear and Jaq nearly simultaneously find that what looked like solid ground, and actually felt like it for a few moments, wasn't. With a muffled crack the ice layer over the crevasse gives way and the elf and bugbear find themselves falling.
Having been somewhat forewarned, and probably being used to this kind of natural hazard, the bugbear scout uses her forward moment to leap far enough that she can scramble and claw her way to safety.
Ernos also sees absolutely nothing. Probably got something in his eyes while he was cleaning up.

((Kroshav totally stops digging as soon as someone is talking to him.))
"Hold on Mik... Ealu saw something outside... I'll be right back."
Kroshav sheds his digging claws, and signals to Clad or Ernie if he sees them on his way towards the entrance.
<Ealu... where are you right now, and where did you see it move?>, he'll ask as he nears the entrance.

“Stop! Danger!” He dares to say this loudly enough for all to hear.
He motions over to the indent he sees. Very big, Very deep hole. That way “. He motions to the right, “ is safe I think.”
If no one objects, he moves off in the way he directs is safe.
