"Mik, I'm gonna go see what's up with Jaq. You good here?", Kroshav asks, removing the digging claws the rest of the way and setting them aside and gathering Sword.
He's trying to be conscientious about not just running off and leaving the dwarf behind again.

After initially, almost perfunctorily, suggesting those around Kroshav were enemies and quickly seeing that they weren't, even to her very low level of consideration of what an enemy is, she is happy to be going out. The claws ogling is so intense even the Sword picks up and suggests sweetly in her young voice,
<Kroshav, if they steal those worthless, clumsy claws, they would be our enemies, right? Soooo....?>
Sword somehow makes a very real and meaty slicing noise in Kroshav's head. She also adds, less sweetly,
Cladmir tries his best to follow Kroshav -- a new experience now that the path is clogged with bodies. He did his best to weave his way around, though, conscious not to elbow anyone aside considering that he would like the newcomer to help and not kick them out in time of need.
"Should we all go? Might be easier to spot, but if they ran into trouble, or just need help getting here, more of us will be better than just a few, right?", Kroshav asks, concerned.
((He's in favor of going, the longer they aren't reporting in, the more trouble he's worried about them being in out there in the snow. Might be good to have Jaq or someone scouting ahead a bit though. Kroshav will bring Ealu unless someone makes a case otherwise, he figures she might help them get folks back if there are cold/injured, and worse case, she can run for help or something.))

Cladmir looked upon the paladin and felt his heart thumped. Truly a most noble creature in all the realm who will not hesitate to put himself in danger to help... these people.
"Aye. If you're heading out then so am I."
Cladmir also looked around to take in all the news faces and judged that it would be a good idea to "help" the people who severely outnumber them at the moment.

While Jaq will, presumably, be doing the scouting, Ernos will also be ranging a bit ahead of the group, keeping to the darkness while searching for any signs of a less friendly presence.

The party head out past Grun who waves at Ernos and says,
"Grun see."
Jaq takes the lead, though not much needs to done to follow the very, very clear trail in the snow. The faint light provided by the setting sun quickly fades, leaving the party in the dark. The only member of the party that struggles with that being the holy horse, who stumbles on the frozen snow every few paces. Ernos manages to bump into Eula or get knocked a bit by the horse a half dozen times, crunching loudly in the snow as he steps to catch his balance.
Jaq is only just visible to the rest of the party occasionally, staying low and waving party forward from time to time.
((Can I get perception checks from everyone other than Jaq, including Eula, please.))

As the party crunches forward, most of the focus is on the path and not breaking anything. The trail made by the bugbears and crew has becoming surprisingly slick after being compacted.
By the time the party has passed the washout start of the Cut, only one member of the group is on high alert. Unfortunately she can't see hardly anything. Her rapid ear twitching picks up something and she stops and sends to Kroshav,
<Kroshav? I hear something. Over there. Um. Maybe a few somethings? Hard to tell. Actually probably a few somethings.>
Eula looks down the mountain, both ears focused on something.
At the entrance (when Jaq arrives) San would explain and point at Ernos,
"Last group not here. No...scouts here. Scouts must be with group but not good they not send scout to tell where group is at."
She will point at Jaq,
"Jaq of Thir, go find Thir."
She looks over the others,
"Them too if want. Not leg missing dwarf. He slow."

People don't seem to be trying to be in Cladmir's way, but they are so pressed in that someone or something is always slowing him down.
Outside the cave entrance the last orange glow of sunset is fading.
((I guess that Row is busy, presume Jaq is coming with you. Any plans beyond retracing the groups' steps?))

(I"m back from vacation, for a bit, and now have found how to find the thread again.)
Jaq continues to stay in the front, scouting and occasionally poking out to silently wave the group forward when it is safe.
As the party crunches forward, most of the focus is on the path and not breaking anything. The trail made by the bugbears and crew has becoming surprisingly slick after being compacted.

((Nothing is visible within 60' for those with dark vision.))
Cladmir is just going to stick close to Kroshav.
Jaq will move a bit further away from the crowd and see if he can find a snowbank or anything to hide behind. He will then ready his bow.
Stealth: 28
Jaq slips away and positions himself behind a boulder to the south. He can only just hear the crunching of the snow.
Cladmir, like Ealu, stands in the dark. He stays close to his light in the darkness, Kroshav, though.
Ealu's ears twitch and she sends to Kroshav,
<Huh. They aren't coming this way, I think? Towards where we came from but not exactly. More that way, maybe?>
She waves her head in a large, horsey nod in a southerly direction.
