For a moment Cladmir stood frozen, in awe at the paladin's offer. A magic weapon for one such as him? And clearly a weapon that he used to wield no less! Such generosity, such magnanimity, such noble gesture! While he has never been one to wield a warhammer before by choice, preferring the swiftness of a blade, how can he turn down such marvelous gift bestowed upon him by such paragon of strength and virtue?
"I gladly accept this gift, noble paladin, and I swear it that I shall use it to help thee in thy quests."
At one point before being being gifted, Cladmir had the thought of searching around a little more, but now he's just going to stand there and look at the Warhammer, and swing it around a little to get a feel for it.
(( How does the acid damage work? Add something like 1d4 acid damage to attacks? Also does it grant any bonus to hit or to base damage? ))
"But only if..." Kroshav holds the hammer out to Cladmir, pulling it back slightly, "you make sure not to confuse me with a noble. I'm a blacksmith's apprentice and the son of migrant workers, not a noble. Please, call me Kroshav!"
He grins to lessen any sting of his admonishment, before handing over the hammer.
Skeletal Warhammer
The haft of this hammer is a skeletal arm grasping the head of the hammer.
On a hit, the hammer does an additional 1d6 acid damage to the target.
((Versatile, so 1d8 + STR bludgeoning and 1d6 acid one handed, or 1d10 + STR bludgeoning and 1d6 acid two handed))

Jaq can only smile at the interaction between Cladmir and Kroshav. He will wait until their moment is over and then quietly answer the paladin's question. "I'm a little singed, but it could have been much worse." (I am very much at no idea what HP Jaq is at)
"Yeah, we should check the other boxes, too. I seriously doubt they firetrapped them all. That would take a lot of magic and also be a hassle for them to deal with in general." He hands the crowbar to Kroshav if he wants to use it. He then turns the open box on its side and then starts scooping out the coins and piling them, by value, on the floor neatly.
"Hm, I already forgot they could do that. Give me one moment before you start on the rest." Lurn casts Detect Magic (Racial trait) and checks the remaining boxes for magic traps. "I'd expect they either trap one or all, so we should be cautious still."

((A number of the crates are open and some look to have been opened and then re-closed. The former are presumably less likely to be trapped than the latter.
As Jaq isn't on Dndbeyond I can't honestly say how much he has left either. He didn't get hit much the last battle though. It was mostly Lurn and Kroshav getting walloped.))
As Jaq roots around in the box he notes the remains some sort of small, clay containers in the corners of the box.
((Investigation with disadvantage due to their damaged nature.))
One of the sealed crates has some moderately strong evocation magic in it. The crate is stacked under another two boxes and is covered with dust, well more dust, than the others.
((Presuming the Kroshav leaves that crate alone and goes in on the others?))
Kroshav opens half a dozen crates to find clothes (and clothing repair kits), dried rations, a large number of well cushioned small clay vials, some books and manuals in some squirrelly language, tools, including nails and hinges. Those, together with the already open crates, indicate that the majority of the room's contents are food.
Only the box with evocation aura remains unopened.
(I do need to get Jaq fully moved onto this platform. I will probably need help with that! Coljin, too. The character on my new game with spider is fully integrated here and I see how nice that actually is. I must be the opposite of what they call an early adopter...)
Cladmir will not be investigating any boxes, but instead look admiringly at the Warhammer. He thought he should find some empty box and swing at it a couple of time, but thought better of using such a wonderful gift in that manner.
Jaq pokes at the bits of clay and notices where four small clay containers must have been affixed to the inside of the crate. Looking more closely at these he can see that there are the remains of a thin wire from each spot up... to where the crate's top and bottom are. The clay containers also appear to be the source of the explosion, the wood beneath each only slightly scorched.
Jaq would guess this wasn't a magical explosion, but an alchemical one.
Jaq will take a look at how he can remove a bit of the wood so he can see into the crate and with some magic light from a shield or weapon peer inside and see if there are more trip wires inside this crate, which he can then dexterously slice away.
Jaq figures he could make a hole pretty much anywhere with the crowbar. If this box has the same system as the last, he also has a good idea where the clay things should be to avoid them. The wires are trickier to avoid since he isn't certain where they all were...
((If you are going with the hole plan give me a luck roll please!))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Luck roll, that'd be just a plain d20? That's what i rolled, so adjust as necessary.
Luck of the Elvish 12
Before he starts messing with it, he again has everyone move out of blast range. (And if a luck roll can be assisted by a guidance, he asks Lurn for that again)
Jaq looks around the box and, not seeing any specific markings, picks a spot away from where the clay things might be and tries to gently pound out a hole in the side of the crate. It doesn't explode, which is good, but he does hear something glass make a tinking and an unpleasant cracking sound, which is less good.
Looking into the hole he can't really make out a lot, even with the added light. This box seems to be filled with a bunch of dried squishy moss, some of which falls out from the hole. He can see a bit of the side of something shiny and glassy a little ways in though.
((As this is a forum game I will speed it along...))
Jaq is able to work the glass item over to look more closely and can tell that it appears to be bottle of something that has rapidly emptied its contents from a crack in its side. A pungent, earthy scent hits Jaq as he leans in to examine the bottle. The scent is familiar enough that he can quickly identify it as a potion of healing. Or it had been. Making the hole a bit bigger Jaq is able to pull out one whole healing potions and two more potions he can't as readily identify and a pouch filled with three faintly flowing gems. An additional bottle looks to have been cracked on the crates opening, its former contents unclear. The rest of the box seems to be damp packing moss. The crate's trap doesn't go off.
((Stands to reason that Guidance can take the form of a god guiding your hand in a literal sense. Kelemvor may question the use of it, but he was a human once too, right? He surely understands. XD))

The search of the second room reveals much the same as first except there is also a large cistern with water. Most of the group's remaining gear that was deemed valuable is packed for shipping to the drow outpost and Jaq gets it out without burning himself again.
Lurn's mystical eyes also spot a pair of other crates with magical auras that look ready to be shipped out.
