"Who said what? You ok titch?"

"Yeah I... I just head someone say.."

"They will hate you forever. You can never go home!" Soft laughter follows the words this time.

"Damn it, who said that?"

"Nobody said anything now pull it together and stay quiet."

 "I did not hear anything either Blink." Melandra places a hand on Blinks shoulder to comfort her but she shrugs it off.

"I am not making this up." Blink draws her blades as they move on through the cavern.

"Gundren is dead. You have taken to long and you have failed him."

"Ok ok I hear it too now and its ******* freaky."

"See I told you. It's the damned eye monster thing the prisoner warned us about."

Vishka casts Detect Magic and a feint glow appears behind the far pillar. It is clearly coming from a living creature. As she peers forward she also notes a second glow of magical energy at the bottom of the chasm. 

"What ever it is, is over there." she points at the column. 

The area emanates a faint necromantic aura. The magic  does not appear harmful but seemingly causes all organic matter in the crevasse to age and decompose at half the normal rate.

Melandra points her finger toward the distant pillar and casts message; "Show yourself and you will not be harmed."

Persuasion 1

At the same time Blink scrambles down into the chasm at the direction of Vishka to check out the second magic source. She spies a wooden chest tucked into a cubby hole on the near side. The bottom of the crevasse feels unnaturally cold. She shivers and looks back up toward the pillar that Vishka pointed out.

As she moves forward she almost stumbles over a half-eaten body. "What the hell?" she fetid smell hits her then as well as the amount of bones down here. Remembering her business she heads for the crate. 

"MINE!" the voice hammers at her brain like a hammer. "STINKIN THIEF"

Above her the others have readied weapons.

She blinks away tears and checks the box lid for locks and traps.

SOA 14

Get away! the voice comes again, but she ignores it and opens the lid.

 The Nothic emerges from behind the far pillar and dives into the chasm to attack Blink.

 Kara scrambles down to meet it swinging her blade.

Attack: 14 Damage: 10

 Griell throws her hand axes.

Attack: 20 Damage: 8 and Attack: 13 Damage: 2

Melandra releases a fire bolt Attack: 10 Damage: 4

 Vishka casts sacred flame.

 Blink attacks the approaching monster with both blades.

Attack: 16 Damage: 10 and Attack: 12 Damage: 1

 The creature slashes into Blink twice with its claws

Attack: 21 Damage: 9 and Attack: 15 Damage: 8

Blood sprays the walls as its claws sink deep.

 Griell scrambles down to join the fray and swings in with her glaive.

Attack: 8 Damage: 4

The creature dances aside and avoids the blow.

 Melandra sends a firebolt down at the monster.

Attack: 18 Damage: 7

But once again it is too quick.

 Kara brings round her blade toward the creatures torso.

Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

Another miss. "Damn this thing is fast."
