"My kin and I settled in the valley which Gub now occupies," Polly explains to Stun. "For many years we have been trying to establish a peaceful co-existence with the giant, but he continues to take our food and wreck the forest. My family and I have done everything we could, but nothing has worked thus far. Perhaps you and your friends here will have better fortunes and be able to put  these tools to better use than my family has been able."

After a short while, Juniper brings out a cup of herbal tea for Stun and a bowl of stew for Eskee.

“Thank you. This looksss delicious!” Eskee says to Juniper. 

He takes a few bites then says to his group, “ I’m thinking we head out at first light to deal with these goblinsss. Agreed?”

He then goes back to eating his stew. 

Stun smells the aroma from the tea and a grin come onto his face, "Many thanks, miss." 

He sips his tea and begins to speak, "As much as i would like to deal with these goblins immediately, we need more information before we take action. One thing we know for sure is that we are most likely outnumbered and that they have a base to operate out off. A few things we have to out first before we take action. What their operations are, what are their numbers and leadership structure, and where their base is."

He takes another sip, "Me and Maverick both have our weapons being modified by the blacksmith and we said he needs 4 days to complete. we should use this time to scout and gather information."

"Ms. Polly, What more can you tell us about this Giant? anything more about his history? as you describing him to us, he sounds about as old as these woods are."

Stun continues to sip his tea...

“ Stun is 100% correct our weapons will take 4 days however, with that being said (Maverick downs one of his drinks) how about this. Miss Polly has given us some GREAT weapons, and as easy as they may be, the goblins could be tough depending on their numbers. I say we get as much information about the Giant. I mean with these new weapons I think a fully rested 3 on 1 would be in our favor, even more so if we surprise him. What do you guys think of going for the Giant first?”

“Is there sssomewhere else you think we will get information from?” Eskee asks Stun. “We came here for information and don’t have much more then we came with. I don’t think we will get anymore information until we get eyesss on the goblins. We can be stealthy and try to devise a plan before we attack. However, if we scout and then come back here to retrieve your weaponsss there’s no point in scouting as everything could change by then. I’m sssorry, but you two may have to go this one using what Polly gave you instead of your usual weaponsss.” Eskee explains  

“You have a valid point Maverick. We should try to ssspeak with the giant first,” Eskee says. “We should go to the giant and see what we can find out. We can plan further at that time.”

As Maverick is drinking he leans back in his chair and then he falls out if his chair, the chair and Maverick go crashing to the ground. Maverick stands up quickly as he pick up the chair 

“huh, yep, huh, am I that drunk Eskee? Can you say that one more time? Who has a valid point?”

Eskee laughs and says, “I know. I couldn’t believe it either. Thisss must be the first time you’ve had a valid point in all the time I’ve known you.” He takes another drink of his ale.  “Don’t let it go to your head.”

Stun laughs with the group, "Hopefully the most of many, hahaha!"

He finishes he's tea quickly to mimic Mavericks drinking speed.

"The Giant would be the most logically first step, Even if he tells us nothing, we can still extract something form the conversation. I want to meet this giant face to face to see if this creature is evil of not. if it is, i cant simply walk away from it. But, for the current situation, i'm willing to be flexible about my morale compass..."

Stun take a breath to calm himself before getting emotional.

"Well, Mister Stun, other than the fact that he is a selfish brute who likes to intimidate people into giving him food," Polly says, "all I know is he came from the mountains west of here. Rumor has it he is using the goblins to steal food for him, but you would have to talk with him yourselves to find the truth to that."

“It’sss settled then. Tomorrow we head out to meet this giant,” Eskee says to the group as he finishes his stew and ale. 

“Juniper my sssweet. Another ale please,” Eskee says with a charming smile to her. 

“Can I have 2 more Ales please, also Eskee if you don’t mind could you play us something on the bongos so I can get in the zone before I call it a night, wait, we got beds right? I would hate to sleep in a corner and have to wake up to hitting my head again. That S%*t sucked.”

Maverick begins examining the belt he received, “Sorry Miss Polly I’m new to stuff like this belt, I have heard of such things but have never seen one in person. Do I just put it on and bam it works?”

"Basically, yes," Polly says to Maverick as Juniper serves up some more ale.

Eskee takes a few good drinks if his ale and brings out his bongo and begins to play. 

Maverick finishes his drinks and says

”Good playing Eskee, but it’s time for me to get some good deep sleep. Til tomorrow my friends now, ummm, where are our room?”

Maverick put the belt on sighs

”Now I’m ready for some sleep. Haha”

Stun replies, "Ahhhhh a bed, It be nice to have a nice bed to lay on after all the traveling and fighting. Please lead the way!" Stun follows Maverick to the bedrooms...

A dapper older halfling woman in a white dress with pink flowers and lace trimming on it, Miss Tiffany comes over to your table. "Did I hear someone ask about a bed for the night?" she says. "Right this way, my heroes of the Hilly Woods." She leads you up a small flight of stairs to a surprisingly spacious room with beds of all sizes. "This is the common room, currently unoccupied, but I can put you in a private room if you prefer. We have one for human-sized folks, but it only has two beds. Someone might have to sleep on the floor." She grins at Stun with raised eyebrows.

If any of the patrons where into the bongo playing Eskee plays, just a little while, longer. He will then head to bed also. 

Several of the patrons are charmed by your bongo playing Eskee.  In fact, someone brings out a fiddle and begins strumming to the beat. Soon, he is joined by someone with a pipe flute (like a recorder), and a half-goat satyr with a set of pan pipes makes an appearance.  All in all, it is a festive gathering, and the music goes on long into the night. Although Eskee gets tired and goes to bed, the locals continue their impromptu dancing and singing even after he leaves.

Stun looks confused as Miss Tiffany  looks at him with a grin on her face, "I... Guess... i'll sleep on the floor?.?.?.? I'm kinda used to this by now, haha!"

He then begins to lie down on the floor and rest on his stomach like a dog and begins to sleep...
