A large rock falls directly onto Shaa's head, knocking him over. He gets up, with pain etched into his face.

When Leofir comes to Yuron will have an awkward grin on his face "so all these weird creatures in here and you choose to get knocked out to falling rocks... Twice?"

Leofir comes to and rubs his head while dusting himself off. He says angrily, "I am going to stove that bastard's head in when I see him with one of his own precious rocks!"He will pick up one of the smaller rocks (around softball size) and put it safely in his pack. "Thank you Yuron." He then begins cursing in Elvish as he angrily goes to where everyone else is standing, yet anxiously glancing to the ceiling for anymore potential rocks that may fall at any moment.
As he goes to the chests he will say, "This damn madman probably booby-trapped these bloody things too, let me take a look."
Leofir says to Shaa, "Is there anything magical about these chests? Magical rock trap glyphs or anything?"
Leofir takes his Thieves Tools out and examines both chests for traps as well as the area surrounding them, glancing at the ceiling above him before actually looking them over, ready to leap out of the way.

OOC: I assume they are locked, but Leofir will check for traps all around them and then directly on them. He wouldn't want to squat down to unlock them, only to have a floor spike shoot upwards. If I need to make a roll for unlocking them I will
The chests opens easily. There is nothing inside either one. There's no magic emanating from them, except for the faint aura of necromancy that pervades this place.

The only way to proceed is to backtrack and follow the other passage. It opens into an enormous cavern illuminated by several guttering torches set in sconces on the walls. The floor is uneven, and the ceiling is forty feet up. Three flat boulders near the passage serve as tables for human corpses. Severed body parts sit in baskets by the corpses, covered in dry gore. A figure in a dark hood stands by the third table, its back to you. Matted hair juts from the hood, and the figure holds a bone needle threaded with dark cord in its hand.
Farther to the west, a stone stair climbs the north wall, ending near the ceiling. A stone slab like a counter juts from the wall across the room from the base of the stairs. It holds saws, knives, and other tools. Four skeletons stand beyond this tool bench, guarding a wide passage that exits the to the west. Next to the bench stands the man who proclaimed himself to be the Lord of Lance Rock.

Rey looks upwards at the trap door- is it just a self contained room? Or is there a chute leading outwards at the top?

It's simply a container to hold rocks. Because apparently the Lord of Lance Rock enjoys dropping rocks on people.

Azar casts detect magic. If the madman can raise dead in that number he might be able to cast spell traps or wards.
