When I asked if any guards were staying back I meant that I wanted to check the room real quick for anything valuable and take it if no one was around. I'll follow Behind everyone else.
Nothing of value is lying about the ruined hall. Only ruble.
As you arrive at the caves
Now with light from the sun you can see that he Dripping Caves contain no light sources as you arrive. The guard stops just outside looking troubled. You can all hear dripping echoing out of the mouth of the caves.Seemingly where the caves get their name from the water that constantly drips. The sound of dripping water echoes throughout the complex but isn’t loud enough to drown out other distinctive noises such as battle or the clanking of metal armor.
As you all group outside the cave the guard finally gives voice to his concern "The cave should be guarded, yet no one stands watch. This is bad. The goblins have come before us." He looks to each of you, not quite meeting any of your eyes "Please"he says in a whisper "We must go in after them! Even if we must venture in blinded by darkness, we must help the people. I will take point, as this is my duty. I just ask that you have my back." The other guard stride to his side and stand next to him, ready to save their townsfolk.

Eider, Level 13 Human Abjurer Wizard - Colosseum of Conquest (11W-3L) (Tougher than he looks)
Now that they were in his element, Calnon allows a smirk to form on his face. Out in the sunlight he was out a disadvantage but in caves like this where there was little to no light he excelled. "If you lead follow my instructions when I tell you where to go, my eyes are much more adjusted to the dark then any of yours." The drow tells them as he places his hand close to his weapons.
Calanon nods to Beamer and then then looks to the guards. "If any of you have torches or lanterns then light them so you can see if you wish to. Those of us with dark vision will do our best to guide you but in a fight it will not be as easy to do so."
(First and foremost, everyone please feel free to go look at the Campaign description. You all are just off the map at the bottom.)
Canalon
Are you scouting quietly? If so please give me a stealth roll, also perception check since I assume you are looking for either townsfolk or goblinkind.
Tomoe
He seems sincere in his offer to lead with his superior vision.
Jason
The guard who's been with you all morning replies in a hurried whisper "Inquisitor, it has been an eventful morning, our last scouting shows these caves as empty. Excuse us for not re-verifying that assessment in the midst of a Giant attack on the town."
(As for the rest of the party, stand fast. What happens next rides on Canalon's rolls. No pressure)

Calanon moves ahead slightly but does not seem as if he is to fond of the idea of having the other party members far if things go wrong while in the caves. He keeps his eye out, simply hoping to find the townspeople hiding in the cave.
The cave mouth is 12 feet wide and 20 feet high. Beyond the cave mouth is a vast cavern with a forest of stalagmites in its center and 10-foot-high ledges along its walls. No light ource can be seen other than that little bit that filters in from the mouth. Water drips from the stalactite-covered ceiling, which rises to a height of 30 feet in the middle of the cavern. Six naturally formed tunnels lead from this central cavern to other parts of the cave complex. As you peer into the cave can see a male ogre bathing in a pool of mud. You also see five sentries on ledges , 10 ft. above ground level. the ledges look relatively easy to scale (Climbing up to a ledge or safely descending from one requires a successful DC 10 Strength (Athletics) check). They seem to be on guard, but fail to notice you as you seamlessly blend into the darkness.

Wilword follows the others into the caves holding his orb tight ready for any creatures to come out of the darkness.
(if the Guards or anyone pull out torches then will use Control flames to double the brightness of the flames. Can do three of them for an hour.)
Taliesin will follow. He will remain somewhere in the middle of the group. Taliesin DOES have dark vision.
Jason to Guards "You morons wanted us to take people here! You now gonna tell me you never check what was inside it?"
[Jason will go as the last one]
