Callahan returns Kip's sword to his hand, hoping it's light will help as the party descends! He enters first and peers around, taking in his surroundings.
The party drops down into the hole. The room is mostly bare. To the north is a tunnel with a dart trap at the entrance. Taking a look it appears you could receive a poison tip dart if you disarmed it but looks difficult. To the west there are some boxes and crates on the wall and an opening covered by a sheet on the south wall. With a 13 perception the party hears muffled moans on the other side of the sheet. You also caught a glimpse of a wire on the otherside....
Jairo opens up her thieves tools and carefully positions the mirror on the end of the metal handle to inspect the metal wire behind the sheet. If she is able without seeing off any traps she'll use her pliers to disarm the wire so the sheet can be moved without incident.
Expertise in thieves tools: 28

With a natty 20 as you disarm the trap it was rigged wrong and the Ratfolk Thug in the next room takes a dart to the neck killing it. The sheet blocking the door fall and the party sees two giant rats and a dead Thug. Kip is tied up in a cage in the corner. Roll Initiative the Rats are surprised.
