The fight erupts suddenly, everyone springing to action. Despite the sudden pain in his head, the ringleader strains against Archibald's hold hoping that the attack he'd managed to land would turn out to be distracting enough to free himself, while the man's lackies descend on Aluve, together now. The one who'd held back before launches in with a jab to distract Aluve, before ducking out of the other man's swing, which lands awkwardly as he chuckles all the while.

Hearing the man actually chuckle as he attacks Aluve, Branch changes her focus. Deciding that trying to settle the dispute without violence is not possible, she casts fire bolt at the man
Aluve casts Misty Step. A shroud of mist envelops him and he disappears from where he was standing. The ranger reappears next to Branch providing an uninhibited line of fire to the lackeys.
Finally tired of this group's antics, the party finally gives them what they seem to've been asking for all this time: A true taste of their power. Wreathed in the flames of Branch's attacks, the lackey who'd originally attacked Aluve reels backwards, struck by a magical force unlike anything he could describe, but driven to his knees all the same. As he moves to stand and continue something in his body screams pain and he falls back to his knee, dropping his weapon to clutch the new wound.
Outmatched, outmanned, and with one wounded beyond the ability to carry the fight, the others quickly give up their struggles. The other lackey does his best to ease his friend's pain, while the troublemaker who'd started this whole mess remains locked under Archibald's grip. The crowd seems suddenly uncomfortable, watching the sad display. Many of them avert their gaze, while still others leave outright to continue their day as if nothing'd happened. "Olright, olright! Ye've won! We give in, no more!"
The town and the party have come to an accord, the troublemakers have been handled. Eventually a messenger will bring news that a relatively well-to-do farmer has offered up a workhouse for the party's lodgings, but in the meantime, the town is open to you.
The farmer is a kind enough gnome, who shows the party to a large building, originally designed to house his farmhands. He seems to be having trouble finding workers, however, as there is only a young married couple living in the building as well. They have claimed a room to themselves, leaving one other room and a number of beds in an open dormitory.
Archibald steps off the ringleader and shoves him out of the building. He straightens his shirt and adjusts his gloves before heading for the ship. He's had enough of being unarmed amongst jerks.
He's going to spend his time trying to get to know people in the village, getting to know daily life.
Branch looks around at the townspeople, unsure how she feels about the situation as some look away and some ignore what was happening between the troublemaker and them. She worries about the use of magic and if that made things worse for them or not.
She follows Archibald to the ship to gather her weapons, and checks on Alfred and his guards. "You all alright here? We're going to go and check out the village now that we have been allowed to."
She heads back to the village, to start investigating the town.
After a day on the town, the party reconvenes at the farmstead they'll be staying in while The Berronar is in for repairs. It is a cozy atmosphere, the young couple staying with them keep to themselves, and have their own private room. All in all, it is a quiet evening, and the party rests in real beds for the first time since departing their homes for what was supposed to be an overnight trip.
The night, even as secure as this place seems, does not go by as simply. Aluve wakes without warning some time in the night, moonlight the only light in the longhouse, cascading through the windows. His grogginess leaves him confused for a few moments, looking around the motionless cabin, perhaps even turning back over to return to his sleep, before there is a sound. Muffled by the walls, it almost sounds like a scream.
Aluves sits up quietly, trying to focus on the sound. Its presence was hard to detect but there was definitely something happening.
Aluve quietly moves to wake up Branch, as he stirs her he quickly puts his finger to his lips then whispers. "I can here something...the walls are distorting the sound...but I think someone may need assistance."
Chatcho, who had been up all night studying his tomes in a corner of the room, is deep in concentration and hardly notices the disturbance.
Hm? Perhaps it was just a mouse. Feel free to take Tik-Tik/Hunts Hunters/Guardian with you.

Chatcho will See and Hear through Tik-Tik. He continues to perform somatic motions in the corner which has become something of an afterthought through repetition.
"Mmm what?" Branch mumbles until she sees Aluve move his finger to his lips. She nods as she slowly wakes up and gets up to follow him towards the noise. She notices Tik-Tik start to follow them as well.
Again, the sound comes, a long, shrieking cry that only just penetrates the building's walls. Outside the safety of their own lodging, there are three other buildings in the compound around them. The farmer's own house, and two barn-like structures. One or both might house the farmer's animals, but in the dark it's difficult to ascertain.

Branch heads out in the night air, looking at the 3 separate buildings. "Let's split up, shout when you need help, I'll head to the farmers house." And without waiting for an answer, she pulls out her rapier and runs for the front door, giving it a try quietly when she gets to it. If it turns, she'll enter as quiet as she can, worried about the scream.

Chatcho sighs at the irrefutable sound of a second scream. He stands up and follows the others outside, opting to take one of the buildings. The wizard dismisses Tik-Tik to its pocket dimension and willfully darkens his carapace.
After the screaming, the compound outside seemed remarkably silent, cloaked in the night's enveloping shadow. The farmhouse door Branch enters gives way easily. It is a dark, foreboding place in the night air, empty and unfamiliar. As she explores, one of its aging floorboards complains loudly, and as if in response, the sound of something clattering to the ground echoes out from the second floor.
Chatcho, acting next, enters the closest of the barns and meets with naught but the twisted shapes of farm equipment. It would seem this building is utterly empty of any life.
Weapons drawn, Archibald storms the third and final building, a barn that at first glance holds not much more than feed for the animals. But, upon further inspection reveals a small series of stalls along the far wall. It's not quiet here, animals move about in the darkness of their own stalls, occasionally brushing up against the gate and straining its latch, or knocking a hoof against a wall with a dull thud. Only one seems daring enough to vocalize, however, a weak bleating sound from the middle stall.

After gathering his weapons from the ship and catching the crew up on what was going on. Aluve heads into town with Archibald and Branch.
"Well I guess then plan kind of worked" He comments out loud.

Archibald will gather himself up. He just carries his armor for now, in more hurry to discover the source of the sound.
"Aluve, which way?"
