"Unfortunately I du not believe I know anything about of this Myrkul, or what a god of would want to do with scarecrows. Howevah, perhaps I may have read something from my time in Waterdeep." Says a very curious Klaes.

Sorry Klaes my bad I missed your post but with a roll like that there is no doubt that in his study of the occult Klaes has most definitely come across the name Myrkul before. Feel free to explore various wikis on Myrkul to flavour your posts.
The party makes their way back to the farmhouse and bangs on the door. The halfling opens the door and says “well did you get rid of whatever was scaring the chooks?” When the party confirms this to be the case he invites them in for a cup of tea.
Gratefully accepting the tea, Chumba asks as he sips, “The scarecrows appear to have been animated by magic. Have any of your neighbors had similar problems? How many scarecrows did you originally have in the barn? Did you acquire a pair of them recently?”
(If the animated scarecrows were new additions, Chumba thinks that tracking down where they came from might be their next step.)

Lash thinks that as far as they've been told the Scarecrow problem has been a regional thing and not located on a specific property or two so that would seem to rule out a personal grudge. So what could make someone want to terrorize a whole region?
"Has there been any new occurrences in the area lately?" Lash will ask with curiosity and interest at tea. "New neighbors? Someone looking to buy up land? Anything you can think of?"
Before they go back to the farmer, Klaes informs his colleagues of what he remembers from the tomes he has collected in his shop about Myrkul. "I du not believe the god of the dead would involve himself in such petty manner. Howevah, perhaps there might be some Myrkulytes involved with the scarecrows. I am not sure, it is just a guess." Extrapolates Klaes.
Klaes tips his top hat to the farmer. "Klaes Ashford at your services my good sir. Have you by any chance seen strange robed folks around your property recently?"

First of all my apologies for my tardiness in putting up a post its been the end of financial year at work and I’ve been coming home a bit brain dead.
The farmer thinks for a minute as he draws deeply on his pipe before saying “I’ve not heard of anything else happening around here but somebody did say that there was strange going ons up at Undercliffe Way Crossing a few nights back.”
"Thank you for the information and for the hospitality." replies Gael sipping his tea "We should check Undercliffe Way Crossing, maybe we can still find additional clues."
"Yeahh maan. Let us go there." Klaes taps his top hat to make sure it's in the right position.

At Lash’s question Chumba turns to him and says “when I first came south to the city I arrived late in the day and was not going to make it before the gates closed. I stopped for the night at an inn in a village where the High Road crosses Undercliffe Way. I guess that could be the village the farmer was talking about.”

“Myrkul,” Lash affirms. “Yep…” Lash then goes on to share whatever he knows of this hood. (History: 3)
“As for why scarecrows? Readily available in this parts? Premade ‘cept the magic. Maybe tap in to myths and fears already in the area?” he speculates.
Lash is most definitively a city guy not a rural sort and doesn’t know much - actually nothing at all - about rural hauntings.

Chumba continues to walk towards the farmer's house, wondering if this is all there was of the scarecrows, or if more lurk about at other farms...
