Auria was torn. Hearing the location on the piece of paper in her mind she was trying as hard as she could to gauge the different options. But the truth was and though it took her a bit to realize it the girl was the priority over a note where they clearly must have met at some point...and fighting an entire town of zombies did not seem like a good idea anyway even when she was intoxicated. The little girl's life was in the balance and there was still a chance that she was alive. "I say we rescue this girl! No time to waste! Where to next." her steps were a bit off and she tripped.(Acrobatics Check 18)
You managed to keep yourself standing. After looking at what made you trip, you see rotting intestines splattered from the fight. You also see fecal matter near the place that you would have landed in case you didn't manage to correct your balance.

As they begin their journey Firen slides up to Jamari briefly...."It seems you understand what that demon was saying....it's not often you meet those who can speak that tongue. I hope we can't expect more trouble from this.."
Jamari turns to the town guard and considers for a moment before saying, "If all goes well we'll stop this trouble rather than start more. I know that we were only tasked with saving the girl, but after securing her we should make it a priority to save this town. From that note, and from what the demon told me telepathically, it seems these undead are a result of a group of people's actions, likely a cult of some short, rather than chance or circumstance. If we let them go unchecked, not only will that further endanger the people of this town, this town could also be just a stepping point for a much larger plan that endangers many others." Jamari had raised his voice a bit so that the others could hear his ideas. Finishing his last sentence he noticed he was speaking rather loudly in the manner of the intoxicated, quietly, but still rather loud, he "whispered," "We should talk more when it is safe, I have much to explain."
As they travel for another half an hour, they finally arrived at the front of Jack's house.
(Bless has expired. Everyone's ale reserves are reduced by 2 pints required except for Rethan and Venvyre for they have sneaked a drink at the tavern.

You can see a simple two-story house made of red bricks with a small window near the door. As you open the door located at the east side, you saw half of the floor soaked in black thick viscous oil and is littered with caltrops. There is a chimney near the stairway connecting to the upper floor on the far left corner, a kitchen with small cabinets and a small dining table with chairs, both area located on the right side below the stairs.
(Anyone who wants to enter the house can roll an Acrobatics check against DC=10. Upon failure, you are prone and must make a DEX saving throw of DC=15 or suffer the effects of Caltrops (bag of 20)).

Seeing the obstacle before them, Jamari says "Seems this is meant to deter us, ha!" he barks a laugh and takes a long pull from his waterskin, "Hold my ale." He says passes his waterskin back to Rethan without a glance.

And sails right over the oil and caltrops with grace of a (tipsy) elven pole vaulter!
OOC: I also took an extra drink at the tavern. Post #22 I grabbed one of the drinks left behind my the other people that left and drank it.

You kept your eyes peeled for any movement for a few minutes, concentrating every brain cells to your senses when suddenly you heard of a buzzing sound. You tried to grab it and found a squished cockroach in your hands still twitching its legs.

Rethan takes the aleskin as Jamari hands it back to him and immediately remoevs the stopper and takes a large drink, leaning against the door frame to see what the others find inside. He looks around to see if the coast is clear outside while he waits.
The look of disgust on Jamari's face as he wipes his hand on his pants is magnified when he notices Rethan boldly guzzling his ale on the far side of the caltrops. After giving Rethan a significant side eye, Jamari moves quietly over to Firen saying, "You want to check upstairs to find the ale--I mean the girl? If you take the lead with your shield, I'll follow right behind you. Probably better for the others to wait outside, if there's a fight, this will be close work, no room for spells." He shifts his grip on his spear, holding it closer to the blade for better use in close quarters.
"I wonder who did this? The little girl?" says Firen staring at the caltrops.

From your experience in drinking everytime you had a chance, your constitution managed to tame the effects of ale effectively from both getting drunk and flawlessly entering the house.

It seems drinking doesn't affect you that much as you try to survey the area and found no nearby undead. As you tried to check for a second time, you saw footprints of a large creature passing through.

"Alright, let's try this quietly though, maybe someone can watch from outside" whispers Firen "...I prefer we get the jump on anything.." Firen crouches behind his shield and prepares to go up the stairs...

ooc: There is only the one room downstairs? Also, Firen had taken a hit earlier but I think the roll needed to be remade for disadvantage - was that done and is he clean of damage?

You moved quietly upstairs and saw a door. You tried to open it, but it seems locked from the inside. You hear a voice of a child speaking
"Who are you? Who sent you here?"

Hearing the child's voice, Jamari straightened from his crouch and said, "My name is Jamari. I was sent here by your father, Jack, to escort you back to the tavern and get you out of the village. Firen, the town watchmen, is right here with me." Upon mentioning the watchmen he looked to him for help. "Open the door please, so we can get you back to your father."

You hear a shuffling noise inside and a sound of something dropping, "Ouch".
A few seconds has passed and the door slightly opens, you see a small child peeking above the cabinet barring the door.
"If my father sent you, show me proof of what he owns very important" as she watches very closely.
"No funny business or you'll regret it. Especially you Firen, father told me I shouldn't associate with drunkards like you. Hmpf" with her cheeks slightly puffed.
