"Oh, come on! Now the PLANTS want to get a piece?" Bjorn stands up and tries to pull Lir from the vines' grasp. "Not today, mister. Back in the boat with ye, let's go."
(Idk if I should roll something or use Help here. I'll leave it up to the DM lol)

Frangipani keeps an eye out for acquatic dangers, currently unaware of the deadly struggles above.
Frangipani keeping a sharp eye out for dangers beneath the surface can see two strange human sized lobster beings peering out from a gap an a large Boulder cluster down river a bit. As you take note of these guys you hear a splash on the surface near the side of the boat. You see friend Lir in the water being dragged towards the bank by what looks like some kind of spikey rope
Evading Eberks attack, the assassin vine #1 yanks Lir overboard and drags him through the water to the shore, and it begins to bundle him near its roots.
Assasin vine2 will lash out again trying to get its own meal. 3
Lucky for Bjorn this one seems to not be as proficient as number1 and misses yet again. Bjorn notices this vine doesn’t seem as thick as the first one either so maybe it’s a juvenile

Str vs dc14
The paladin see's Lir not looking so well "Eberk, if its not too much trouble, take out that plant on Lir!"
“I’m getting real sick of all these surprises.” Eberk reaches out to touch the vine holding Lir. He casts Inflict Wounds at 2nd level.
Attack: 10 Damage: 16
6 STR to extricate the druid
As Eberk reaches towards the vine, it yanks out of the way pulling Lir with it. Bjorn is unable to break the hold assassin vine has on him.
