"Well my friend, in the dark, I see shades of gray. But you might say, in the light, I see more black and white." He pats Bjorn on the back. "Not only is this place amazing for our aquatic friends, I believe this place has treasure written all over it, and so far, I haven't thrown up yet so.... today may be your lucky day / night Bjorn.”
Eberk chuckles at Bjorn’s awe. “The Moonmaiden might not be quite as full of shit as you thought. It’ll last for an hour, but if we get in a tight spot I can do it again.” He starts to head into the ruins examining the area.
( be specific as to where you look, using the steps between the elephant heads as a guide. There are elevations listed for the terraces and such. There is a lot to explore in this garden)
(Unless anyone disagrees, we are 10ft apart. Lir and Frangipani on each side of the mouth of the water. We move 5 feet north, then another 5, seeing what we see as we move toward center.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lir and Frangipani move up the canal carefully looking and using their feet to feel along the bottom as well as their eyes. The bottom of the canal is a little slick with moss and algae covering the smooth carved stone floor. Occasionally their feet touch a fragment of rock or sunken branch, but so far nothing moving. With their eyes they can see a series of carved pictures that appear to depict some events, possibly of the gardens owner along with inscriptions in some ancient dialect unknown to them. ( comprehend languages would be required to decipher the words) the images are of a woman and a man working in the garden.

Bjorn- you notice not far from your spot an interesting looking root sticking out of the ground.
In your mind, the book ( your tutor) speaks and says. “ that root there is can be of good use for healing or for coin” You find 1 of these special roots
Ryath Root
Any creature that ingests a ryath root gains 2d4 temporary hit points. A creature that consumes more than one ryath root in a 24-hour period must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or suffer the poisoned condition for 1 hour.
Bjorn begins composing his gloating speech about discovering the most useful thing, but he waits and watches, rather than getting distracted trying to pull the roots free right now.
"What the..." Bjorn looks around in awe.
"Is this what you all are seeing all the time?!"

Lir will check the waters and the shore for signs of other creatures in the vicinity.

Bjorn----Spar----Lir----Frangi----Ebs
( Sounds good.)
Eberk will look around the area with small pond, near the thing that looks like a piranha plant.
Sparhawk will investigate the left of the elephant, large tree trunk north toward smaller tree trunk.
Bjorn will get his crossbow ready and keep an eye out from the east bank of the stream, moving as needed to keep everyone in view if he can.
Frangipani is sticking to aquatic exploration following the acqueducts and channels.
Investigation- 12

Eberk can smell Avery pleasant scent nearby, but it doesn’t distract from his vigilance. 1
