Maev listens to the sound of muffled groans and moans coming from inside and opens the door, needing that drink now more than ever... but curious as to what the sounds are about as she strides inside...
The first thing that hits you as you open the door is the smell. You have had your fair share of sweaty, smelly taverns, but this one is just putrid. Inside you see that the entire tavern has become a temporary infirmary filled with sick beds and the tables and chairs all stacked and put to the sides to give space. Two people in vestments - one a half-elf in yellow, the other a human in grey - run around trying to attend to the many sick patients that lie on bedrolls on the floor. You also spy a fellow gnome assisting and helping the two by bringing water and fresh linen cloths when they call for it. All three of them look just as sick and worse for wear than everyone else, yet they still try to do the best that they can to provide aid. The gnome notices you and approaches you at the door.
"Terribly sorry but we're unable to serve customers right now"
He sneezes and then coughs a few times before he continues speaking.
"As you can see, we have a terrible...uh... health issue to address."
Definitely not as comfortable as I remember. Is there anything we can do to help?
"If you want to help, you go over to the town hall. I'm sure the mayor will be able to tell you more. It's just to the right of here on the first junction, up on the hill."
"I'm sorry but I really must get back to my duties. You could get a map from the town hall, just up on the hill to the west of the town. Farewell!"
Maev not caring to go inside or continue the conversation turns and walks off. In any event, as she walks, she wonders if only people who got directly exposed to the cloud are getting sick and maybe not affecting anyone new who had not been exposed directly so maybe it is not a contagion... but just to be safe, Maev stops walking for a moment and raises both her arms high in the air, giving her pits a long hard sniff to ward of evil spirits and sickness before continuing on.
Feeling much safer she heads on to the town hall up on the hill as directed... perhaps the healers in her group will have more answers, for herself she is still of the mind the cloud is the cause of the sickness and the mine from which it came is the root of it all...
Bayrith follows along with the group. As he does he relates all the questions and answers from the old man, as well as his finds of his "examination" of the villager.
(OOC: I relate it so the whole group, near me, knows what the old man said)
After he gets done telling everyone he looks up and says "Yes, a good source of new information. Very interesting indeed." As he looks around at the rest of his group he continues excitedly, "We need to help these people, we might be able to find some new lore here!"
As you all reach a junction at the foot of a hill, the majority of the group comes across Maev already there.
On top of a hill you see a large but modest looking building with a belfry on top. From your view at the foot of the hill, it looks to be made mainly of wood and painted white. Compared to the deary atmosphere of the town itself, the town hall looks like a sight for sore eyes.
Maev is just sitting there out front on the ground waiting for the others to show up fashionably late as usual, "hey boys, nice to see you all found your way here, been one of those days... am I right? Shall we then..."Her head tilting in the direction of the building and the door.
Turning to Rosado, she sticks his tongue out at him playfully, "my second sight tells me that there is nothing to worry about here... behind that door I believe we will find a few answers but be left with many more questions... along with if I am not mistaken a request for our help, but what do I know I am but a poor humble red-haired lad. Of course, I could just be full of rotten road apples..." Her eyes twinkle as she laughs... followed by a belch.
The Hedge Witch scrambles to her feet and takes her usual place at the back of the line as to not impinge on the bravery and authority of her strong male protectors.
Bayrith is following along in the middle of the group, stopping when they stop, walking when they walk, but the whole time he's reading his notes in his book while talking out loud making sure they all know everything he has written down.
Rosado, aside from a few vomit stains all over the road and on some of the walls, nothing else seems to be out of the ordinary.
Meanwhile, as Narstin knocks, nothing seems to happen at the few first minutes. After a while, the door opens to reveal a human woman about 30 years of age. She looks just as sick as the rest of the town, but there seems to be a hint that she's just as healthy as she was before. She looks up at all of you and asks.
Maev from behind the group sticks her hand out (so the woman can see it) and gives a little friendlywave as she peeks around the others at the woman but does not speak a word.
Maev frowns, my apologies, "I will leave you to it but before I do can you tell me how to get to the mine then I will gladly be on my way!"
Definitely not as comfortable as I remember. Is there anything we can do to help?
Rosado shouts to Maev as she runs in diretcion of tavern "Do not get us into any troubles red lad!"
Fionn looks skyward ."Yes i agree" turns to the rest of the party. "To the town hall then?"
Laissez les bons temps rouler
"Aye, to the town hall"
[OOC: technically no one went after Maev so we do not know where is town hall neither what is going on in the inn. Meav decided to go on her own]
Narstin leads the way towards the town hall to look for more answers.
(I also was given directions to the town Hall)
Walks slightly behind Narstin. "Now where did that wee firebrand wander off too?"
"Come Bayrith keep up and look up not in ye books or ye may trip again" gives a wink to the others

Rosado binds back his crossbow to backpack.
"Aye, you go first holy boy. You are good at this talking things"
[OOC: Perception check for any wierd things related to sickness and fog 13

"You shouldnt be running off alone like that Maev. Me poot heart would break if something happened to you" winks rogueishly.
Looks up. "Aye was getting to that"
"Narstin , he says we should follow yer lead"
Laissez les bons temps rouler
Narstin shrugs and walks up to the town hall, knocking on the door.

Fionn casts Thaumaturgy on Bayrith causing an instantaneous sound that originating from his book
the book is whispering
