Bosko roars at the bug swarm as it closes the distance and engulfs him, swinging wildly with both bear claw in an attempt to slice the irritating creatures apart.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hearing the grunt of a familiar grunt, Alyndra would turn and see her firbolg companion being assailed by the swarm and shout out in concern, "Laz! Hold on." Before skidding to a stop and pointing her two index fingers towards the insects, rapid firing out three Magic Missiles to hopefully thin the herd. "These things are ridiculous!" She shouts out to Captain Three Earrings, looking over the others who are less battered and bled than her and her husband, but not by much. "This can't be normal."

Lazarus would hold onto his own chest as he tries to catch his breath after coming back into visual sight and looking back. "That's for sure. This is unreal! And adventures like this are common?!" He would turn around and take in a few more breaths and see the group still in combat. He would raise his free hand to the side of his mouth so that he could get his voice to carry. "Hey! Bosko! I've Seen You Hit Shark Monsters! Bugs Ain't Nothin!" His words would come coated in a magical nature to give him a bit of inspiration.

BNS ACT:Bardic Inspiration = As a bonus action, a creature (other than yourself) within 60 ft. that can hear you gains an inspiration die (1d6). For 10 minutes, the creature can add it to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.
Finally... after a brief, but maddening and relentless effort, swatting, stabbing, swiping, slapping and casting spells at the incessant insect swarms, you manage to drive off the last of the swarms, which leaves you standing there amidst a moment of complete peace and quiet.
Markus breaths and spits a few mosquito that managed to enter in his mouth. "These are bloody thirsty ! Remind me to come up with something that could repeal them. I'll keep that for futur study." Markus scoops a hanful of dead insect and place them in a close bag. "might be useful" he thinks.
" Is everybody ok? I can still close a few wounds if someone is in bad shape" he continues, observing his companion. "if not I say we move quickly from here"
As the swarms finally dispersed after chopping their numbers down, Alyndra looked around for more with elevated heartrate and wide eyes before finally letting her hand drop and a shiver ran through her entire body. "Ugh! That was horrible." She says, running her hands up through her hair to shake it. "I can still feel them on me, Gods..."Shaking her head and taking a breath, the half elf briefly touches Lazarus' arm to ground herself. "You alright hun?" She makes sure to check in with him before turning to their companions and walk closer over to them. At Markus' question she shakes her head and answers simply, "No." The wizard looked fairly pale and had multiple bites on her, tiny pinpricks of blood showing. "Those bugs were no joke." Looking over the extremely unhappy Sunita as well as usually easy going Firbolg, Alyndra sighs. "I don't think staying here is a good idea either, but most of us are in pretty rough shape now, though Sunita took the brunt of them. We could always play Boulder, Parchment, Shears to see who gets healed?" Even as she brings this idea up, the woman grimaces. "Probably better to heal the people more likely to be up close and personal with danger though." Gesturing to Sunita before seeing her pick at her many bites. "Try not to scratch." Even as her hand unconsciously did the very same. "F***."
"Yes, I can see you are pretty wounded." Markus acknowledges. He then uses his staff and holds it against the inflamed skin of his companions. "That's not much, but it should stop the itchiness. I am sorry I cannot heal all of you.". The staff, once more does its job, releasing tiny machines that closes the wounds, like an army of ants.
"Captain ! Are we far from your shaman ? I think the whole pack could us a good rest.". Looking at the canopy of the jungle and the location of the sun, Markus tries to make sense of the journey: time and direction. (Survival: 2)
Bosko flops to the ground on his bottom as the last of the bugs is swatted.
"Nasty. Like animals, but these unfriendly", he says as grabs a handful of leaves and starts to clean the bug corpses from his bear claws.
"Am ok, no need heal", he replies as the others talk of healing.
He then takes hold of his bear tooth necklace and chants some words in sylvan, he cups his hands together and when he opens them reveals ten berries.
He stands up and reaches out a furry hand to each of the others, including the captain, giving them one each.
"Not eat now. Will sustain, also use for each other, can bring back awake", he advises.
He puts the remaining five in his pouch and looks around, trying to identify the best way to proceed, or any animals that might be more friendly to talk to.
The captain says as she sheathes her blades, "That was most... unpleasant, although as nasty as they can be, bugs are not the worst thing one can encounter in these jungles. To answer your question, I would say we have at least two to three more hours until we reach the shaman's hut. I don't mind taking a short break, but we still need to be on our guard out here."
The canopy here is pretty thick, and adding to his already frustrated mindset, it's hard for Markus to get any kind of bearing right now about where you are. However, as Bosko looks around, it's pretty apparent to him which way the main trail leads, even though it's a bit overgrown. He does see some forest life in here, but mostly they are birds, some small that flutter about, and the occasional very colorful jungle bird, like the large beaked toucans and iridescent blue and lemon-yellow macaw.
((That's so helpful for reference Grimnir! It looks great, Saved!))
Alyndra stills as Markus holds his staff against her but flinches slightly at the release of the itty bitty machines, much too similar to the bugs they had just been fighting off for her liking. But she tried to do her best to not move as they do their job and soon it was like nothing had ever happened. Blinking in marvel, the half elf peers at Markus and his staff and says, "That's rather incredible. Thank you." Looking at the Captain, she nodded at the artificer's sentiment.
Accepting the berry from Bosko, the auburn haired woman had it halfway towards her mouth when he said not to eat them immediately and her mouth stays open for a second or two before shrugging and pocketing the berry for now, hoping it wouldn't get crushed. "Like smelling salts? But a berry. Smelling berry? No, you eat them...hm. Now I really want to know what they taste like. Thanks Bosko."
Sighing at what Captain Three Earrings says, Alyndra looks at the others before saying, "We can take a rest now if you'd like, but sooner we get to the shaman, the sooner we can get back and out of the jungle."
((I can't tell if I'm fully healed or my modifiers to roll for like Investigation or anything since DnDBeyond still won't let me open any of my character sheets.))
((I can access Alyndra's sheet and so I made the HP adjustment for the cure wounds spell. 9 hp brought her back up to full strength.))
((Much appreciated. Going on three days now that I can't access any of my character sheets... I know for sure I've used one spell slot, so gonna have her do Arcane Recovery to gain it back.))
Alyndra nods in appreciation at Bosko's words before staring at he begins cawing at a bird. Leaning against Lazarus, the woman asks the bugbear with interest (quietly, so as not to disturb Sunita's nap), "Can you understand him? Or is it her?"
Markus has well donned his armor and the swarm struggle to find some area to bite.
1- if Sunita is down, markus will cast Cure wounds on her (6)
2- if still up, Markus will continue with his "flamethrower" : 8, fire damage 10

Cure wounds on Sunita: heal 10
Cure wounds on Alyndra: heal 10

Sunita feels much better after the healing and slaps Markus on the back, " Thanks."
She decided not to mention the weirdness of having small metal bugs repairing damage done by small fleshy bugs.
She accepted the berry from Bosko with a smile, " Thanks."
" Ok, no more little bugs. I'm only fighting giant ones from now on.", she looked around at the jungle in case her words had summoned some....

( If so, short rest, HD: 6)
"Let rest. Need friends good go", Bosko says and approaches the birds.
He calls out in a series of caws to one of the large beaked toucans, "More big bugs on man path?". He motions to the trail as he speaks.
