Responding to Val, Kor says, "The spirit might make it back in, but it has no way of communicating with Yeemik." Thinking a moment, he amends with, "I actually do have some string, though. If we can scrounge up something to write with and on we could pass a note...but that's also assuming Yeemik can read. Plus, even if he got the message, Stonebitter seems to think he's the untrustworthy meaning he probably won't trust us enough to come outside."
"One thing still bothers me though, Stonebitter, you said the prisoner was human right? Our client is a dwarf, where did the human come from?" Kor turned and asked the goblin, studying closely as he answered.
“The human traveling with the dwarf ‘f course. The king specified the dwarf only, so the king’s goblins picked ‘em up and said we could ransom the human, and any travelers that try to search for ‘dm. Or eat them ‘f course, but Klarg likes seeing if we can get money for prisoners before eating ‘em. Also, I d’nt know too much about your human culture, but I t’ink leaning in that close is kinda weird f’r about everyone.”
He says that because you’ve been steadily leaning closer during his explanation, to the point where your noses were practically touching due to your critical failure.
Kor pulls back from the goblin thinking his interrogation skills may need a little brushing up. Much like Stonebitter's teeth.
"So the dwarf is not even here? That changes things," Kor said with annoyance, "if we traded in the supplies for his bodyguard, we might end up working for free!" Kor is clearly horrified by the thought.
"I think we all can agree that getting the bodyguard out of here without killing a bunch of goblins is no longer feasible. So I say we sneak in once this party has knocked everyone out and take out Klarg and his captains. Abyss, maybe even Yeemik and his boys too unless he agrees to hand over the bodyguard right away. I don't trust him to hold up his part of the deal without close supervision." Kor says to the group with a grimace. He didn't like resorting to violence, he was too proud of his ability to talk his way to victory.
(I’ll answer that because I diddnt really give much visual information of the cave.)
The cave was at one point a beautiful natural cavern, with a flowing river that made the main tunnel part wide and deep, with a high cavernous ceiling. It’s still mostly natural, with a few goblin modifications, like the dam turning the river into a small stream, and a few wooden tables, other furniture, scaffolding’s and walls, particularly in Klarg’s and Yeemik’s office/hang out spots. But the walls of the cavern were obviously carved by erosion rather then physical labor

"Hmmm, don't really remember, want to ask the spider?" The aforementioned familiar blinked into existence right in front of the dwarf, waving its forelegs and mandibles in greeting. Kor was feeling a little down and this was just the thing to lift his spirit. Definitely going to use that in a joke.
History (to remember if the cave was natural or sculpted): 8
Berrus jumps back....grrr i told ye not to do that with your spider thingy, natural erosion ye think hmmm not much do go on without a good clear Dwarven look to tell ye wether your little surprise would bring the whole thing down
"Damn, that takes some options off the table, then, can't risk burying the hostage or ourselves." Kor replied to Berrus' comment after laughing at his reaction and ordering the spider to wander around, but stay in the general area. He considered using the time to practice viewing through the spider's senses, but, if there was to be a fight, he'd rather not do it with a headache.
Regaining his line of thought, he said, "Oh well, if we wanted to have a chance to make a deal with Yeemik, we wouldn't have been able to use it anyways. One of his conditions was to keep property damage to a minimum. We should still bring it if we decide to attack though, better to have the option and not need it than need it and not have it."
"Stealth might be our best option, slay as little as possible and take out Klarg and his captains. Bring the dynamite as back up. The bodyggaurd could help us find Gundren. Maybe Yeenik knows as well?" As the evening night falls in Mav is assaulted with many sounds that he is unfamiliar with and lays back in wait and silence taking it all in. Making sure that the spider familiar is no where near him, he begins to relax, meditate and prepare for the fight that is to come.

“Sounds good to me. We should get moving then.” Valathar stands quickly, pushing himself up off the grass with his staff. As he stands, his head snaps left, then right, as if reacting to sounds that no one else hears. “I.. I’ve still got the dynamite that Kor handed out earlier, everyone else theirs?” Valathar draws his scimitar, and quickly walks to the edge of the clearing, closest to the cave opening. “Let’s get in, get Klarg, find our man and get out quick. I don’t like the smell of this place…”
(I probably will not be able to post until tommarow. Feel free to roll stealth for the goblins standing guard outside the cave, but I won’t be able to narrate till then)
Preparing to leave, Kor grabs his short bow and the dynamite bag. Wondering what his familiar would be doing with its free time, Kor opened the link to it's senses...and found himself starting at the back of his own (human) head from a position on his back. After barley suppressing a scream, Kor shudders and dismisses the familiar to its pocket dimension. Through their bond, Kor feels the spirits mirth at having frightened him. That's how it is, huh? Well guess who's taking point. Kor summons the familiar once more and it boldly scuttled off to the front of the group, sending an image of his own face smirking through their telepathic link. Did the spirit just sass me?
Shaking his head at the thought, he joins the others.
"I still have my sticks. Straight to Klarg, the hostage and out, got it." Mav stands up from his meditation. Prepared for what might come he slowly and quietly wades into the stream
Valathar steps into the water behind Berrus, sure that he'd be the one to alert the goblins of their presence. He'd never been comfortable sneaking around, he always felt too big for his body. But after stepping into the water, something clicked, and the pressure building in his head started to dwindle. Stopping, standing in the water, he takes a moment, letting the group proceed before him. Valathar closes his eyes and lets the sounds of the forest envelope him, soothe him, before heading into the darkness of the cave.
Opening his eyes, he inhales deeply, and proceeds after the party.
You all successfully pass the goblins keeping watch outside without being seen, and are now in the cave system. The laughter seems heavily situated around the kitchen area/Yeemik’s office area, and you see no goblins in the stream path you’re walking on. Assuming you continue forwards, you pass a room on the right, the one Kor informed you was filled with bones. 3 extremely starving looking wolves are chained to a pillar of stalagmites in the center of the room, all three trying to cover their ears and whining softely from the loud noise of the music and partying that’s echoing all throughout the cave.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kor considered the wolves and what he knew from the layout of the caves. If we go past the wolves we're almost guarenteed to be detected because of the wolves themselves and the pile of loose rubble we'd have to scrabble up behind them to get to Klarg's room. The upside is that it's the shortest possible route to Klarg which means less enemies to fight. If we continue straight following the river we'd have a better chance of not being detected, but possibly a harder fight if we were depending on the enemy situation.
Kor sent a telepathic command to his familiar to scout ahead further along the river route. They needed to know about any enemy presence along that route, especially on the bridge as enemies there would be able to fire down on them without risking melee combat. He shared his thoughts with the others then sat down and activated his connection to the spider's senses.

Mav quietly peers into the room with the wolves, looking for anything of potential value or usefulness. “I know the point is to get in get out but these wolves look miserable here, there’s gotta be something we can do?”
