"Mew!" Millwater mushes his face into J'nah's. "I've never wanted a hot bath as much as I do right now." The bolt comes out easily but the arrow hurts being wiggled out. "I'm not sure but I think there may be more worgs! Their stinking pelts might hide our own scents better." He says while holding his nose.
He looks up to Tail Feathers and says "I'm ashamed to say what I felt was pure stark terror! I could smell many of them and they are so big they eclipsed the sky when they surrounded me. I didn't even turn back to look at them til I made it back to the site we prepared. They were already hunting me while we were preparing!"
"A bath and a long rest sound really good. May I trouble you for some good berries in the morning?"
"Yeah, I do the same, but these fuzzy doggies kept up with me far too often. Still, I got some good shots into them. You really think there are more? I'll need to collect some more arrows. Oh, and I've been mauled a bit, too, but take care of the others first." Festoon says as he checks his own wounds.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
After searching the bodies and removing the pelts from the four Worgs you all head back to the inn for a long rest. Getting up to your rooms you all agree to meet for breakfast in the morning. As you strip off your gear and lay down in bed you all feel the soreness and exhaustion from a long day of battles and running around the village trying to solve the issues with this village. You feel that you have created more questions than answers. As you shut your eyes you fall into a deep dreamless night of rest as your bodies recover from the injuries you have suffered through the past day. Are all the other days going to be just as complex? You can only wait and see.
As you wake from the night of rest you, all have full hit points again, gather your gear and head down to the inns main room to break for fast. You all find a table to sit at as the serving girl brings forth some watered ale and food for breakfast.
‘Vee-you mentioned potions. We should see what they cost and acquire a few if possible. Also to restock the heal kits. Check weapons, bolts, arrows everyone-Mill how’s your stock of spice? If you look to restock, ask about some peppercorns-the hottest they have, plus a hand grinder. If it’s already ground so much the better. I want to check in with the Hunters-see if they will buy the pelts or if there’s someone they know of who does. Anyone else got ideas or things they need to do?’
Millwater practices with his whip while heating water for a long hot bath in a bucket. After soaking in the heat he falls asleep while meditating. Waking before everyone else, he heads to the kitchen to start making biscuits and ham for his companions. Also making nutty tarts shells for the road. While everything comes together, he makes gravy with the leftover flour and drippings from the ham. Eating while making, his hunger is sated. He serves his companions a family style breakfast and then retreats back to the kitchen to clean up, thanking the head chef.
When he is finished he returns to the table. "Got enough pepper to rub 2 bandits" He says with a chuckle. Then it dawns on him why she suddenly wants spicy. (Genius!)"I'll see what's available!"
Millwater sets off to the merchants for peppers, peppercorns and a grinder. Afterward going to closest mill to grind the bag. On a lark, seeks out the village's cat lady to see if she has any remedies for protecting the cats from worgs.
Vee nods as he chews his food, a twinkle in his eyes. He gives a wide eyed WHAT look when Sorrow glares at him, then finishes his breakfast before heading out to the church to check on healing portions. He’ll take a path that lets him go by the chandlers shop to check on Will.
"Here's what I'm gonna do," he pulls out his money pouch, counts two stacks of ten gold coins, "You guys seem to be keen on buying supplies so here's 20 gold. If you need more let me know, but if you guys go shopping, those healing kits are going to be needed. For my part, I can do some hunting to help with our stores of fresh meat, and I definately need to practice my trap making. I'm too used to going out with a hunting party I'm used to, in woods that I'm used to, checking the coastal line and having long established makers to set my eyes against when checking for unwanted guests. When we go again, I'll be ready, cant let a bad beat keep you down."
"What about the divving of the loot I found?" Festoon asks, curious.

“Divving the loot would be a good idea, along with getting the potions.” Eating her fill, Tail follows the conversations. “Do we need to replenish any of our weapons? Are we taking off today?” Asked more out of curiosity then anything else.
Millwater makes a excellent breakfast for all. After everyone has ate J'nah places 20 gold on the table. Millwater takes 5 of them saying that should cover any good spices that they can use on food or other activities knowing Sorrows preferred habits. He heads to the general store. Meanwhile Sorrow heads over to talk to the hunters before they set out for the day. Seeing if any will buy the Worg pelts. Danart, himself, buys the four pelts and gives Sorrow 40 gold. He also asks what was done with the bodies. Hearing you tell them that you left them at the edge of the trees he heads that way with the other hunters to check on the bodies. He has others from the village carrying the dead goblins that were left over night out to the woods north of town where they will toss the bodies onto a big pile of rubbish. The hunters rifle through the goblins bodies removing the arrows, short swords and short bows to take to the general store. Knowing that it was your group that made this possible the general store owner gives Millwater the spices he needs for free. The spices have already bean grounded. He will sell Millwater a mortar and pestle for 5 silver so Millwater can grind any spices they may find into powder. When Veeshal checks with the church he will find healing potions for 40 gold each. The Head cleric knows they are helping with what is going on in the village and gives Veeshal 6 cure light wounds potions for their help so far. He also tells Veeshal of a rare plant that grows by the water in the wilderness that is used for making these potions. He gives Veeshal a description of the plant. He tells Veeshal that this plant ground up and mixed with evil blood while blessing it will create more Cure light wound potions. But warns Veeshal the blood must be warm while being blessed for it to work. It takes four dried leaves of the plant to make each potion. If Veeshal can bring a live plant back to the temple they can cultivate it to grow more. Tailfeathers herself knows how to grow goodberries. Each berry can cure 1 hit point of damage. When growing the good berry bush she creates1d10+10 berries. This is a spell. I have modified the Goodberry spell just a little bit.
Having completed his task of finding hot spices, Millwater zoomies thro the streets looking for strays. (A village without cats? This is strange, potentially dangerous if vermin get a foothold.) He thinks to himself.
Deciding against wasting more time, he races back to farmers market and butchers for a feast. After getting fruits, sugar, spirits, vegetables, several kinds of meats and heads back to the Inn. Putting the groceries into the kitchen, he sets aside a cup of hot spice and takes the rest to the table. "Lampong peppercorns, little pinch goes a long way. You'll see at lunch!" He says as he places the mortal and pedestal down next to bag.
Back in the kitchen, having washed the vegetables and busy cutting proportions that pique Cookee's attention. They discuss the economic and rationing ability of this style of cooking while preparing the 3 sauces mild, hot, and fire. We start serving the staff. They will point to the meats and vegetables they desire and tell us how hot and spicy they want it. Everything is tossed into a pan and chopped finely, served on a bed of rice or noodles.
"May I have your cherry cordial recipe? I understand if it's a guarded secret. The cherry flavor is bussin, me thinks it would help get down bitter medicines." He asks cookee?
Vee will bow in thanks for the potions, then ask if there is a drawing or picture of the plant he could trace to have as a reference. If so he’ll do the tracing, thank the priest and head to the general store where he’ll get a scroll case for the drawing, a couple small containers with wide mouths (mason jar), a strip of burlap and a small digging tool or trowel. With his purchases in hand he’ll meet back at the inn.
Sorrow exchanges the pelts for the coin, briefly describes their extended nightly happenings and does the head tilt to the NE with a raised eyebrow-as a way to confirm the route hasn’t changed. She grasps his arm, warrior to warrior. ‘Let’s hope this thinning of the herd gives you all a break. We’re restocking and then gonna beat feet outa here-got a bit…callus…in my talk with the rest and they then…persuaded…me to see the error of my ways. Guess they don’t like taking orders from freaks like me when it offends their sensibilities.’ She makes her voice sound bitter and hurt as she talks, but winks at him. ‘Thank you all for the hospitality. We’ll see if we can find any traces and tracks as we head South.’ A quick nod and she heads back to the inn.
I can help with looking for leaves or tracks. You guys let me know where I can be of help ;) I really love that you guys put so much effort into your cooking as well. It would have been very sad if we had to eat ugh, standard rations.
Festoon restocks his bolts from available supplies and looted gear, refreshes his rations, and meets with the rest of the impromptu group. "So, where do you need my help in all this? What's our next steps?"
