When everyone is ready, Tuuli will open the door (she insists, if Lucky is putting himself in danger, she’ll be the one to do it), then back up to the other hallway quickly in case farmers spill out. When there and behind the fighters, she will lean against the wall and close her eyes, observing through Lucky’s senses. Then Lucky will venture into the room and approach the nearest farmer, first poking him in the leg with a paw, then escalating if there is no reaction by pushing, pawing, etc., until finally baring claws and scratching him.
(That’s 1 slashing damage, if it comes to that.)

The party reenters the house, finding it exactly as they left it. Everything is quiet except the wind rattling the windows.
Baldar checks the other rooms and finds neither hands nor other threats. She waits outside the dining room entrance to the kitchen. (Is this where she wants to be?)
Tuuli unties the hallway kitchen door. (Is that the one you had in mind?)
The farms are exactly where you left them. They stand facing each other, their red eyes unblinking, their hands clutching tools and weapons, their breath shallow. They don’t react as Lucky enters.
Lucky begins to paw one, then poke him, then scratch him. The farmers remain completely still.
With a surprised mew, Lucky disappears in a puff of air. Out in the hallway, Tuuli starts, eyes flying open, she gasps. Then she whispers, "They got Lucky," and describes what happened.

Walt kneels beside Tuuli, silently watching and waiting. He flinches when Tuuli snaps back from Lucky and describes the attack. Walt reaches into his pouch and casts magic stone on three hefty rocks. He moves north on the porch, hugging the wall trying to move quietly. He makes a right turn and stops just short of the window that looks into the room where the farmers were.
He will peek into the room. IF the window is obscured by drapes, he will use his quarterstaff to push aside the drapes just enough to get a view into the room. IF the windows are obscured by shutters, he will close his eyes, focusing on sound and attempt to get a sense for any more rushed or hurried movements within.

Baldar moves into the hallway and reaches up to lay a hand on Tuuli's shoulder in silent comfort for her loss. She whispers back: "They only attacked when Lucky hurt them, right? Maybe we can try to pull them out of the room without hurting them."
"I'm sure it was some sort of magical beast, still can't help but feel for the poor kitty. I'm glad to help lock the farmers up in another room, if tying them up is off the table."
Lucky is gone, but there are no further sounds of movement coming from the kitchen.
Walt walks around the back of the house to try to look through the kitchen window. A rain barrel and a couple of empty crates lay against the side of the house. He sees a pitchfork stuck into something near the house’s northeast corner. The window is intact, but rather dirty and fully curtained on the interior. It takes a moment, but he is able to get a very narrow glimpse of one of the farmers within, perfectly still.
Walt spots a pitchfork near the northeast corner of the house. Something about it seems to catch his eye. He’ll approach slowly keeping an eye out on the surrounding area for any threats.
(Ooc: DM what condition is the hand in? Does it resemble the other disembodied hands that attacked us? Does it looks freshly severed, decaying, etc?)
Walt slowly approaches the pitchfork and stops dead in his tracks at the sight of the skewered hand. He’s taken aback by this grisly scene. He takes a deep breath to compose himself, looks towards the heavens and says a silent prayer to the Wild Mother asking for guidance.
Walt looks around to see if he can see any tracks leading to or from the immediate area before scurrying back to his friends to share the news.
Perception check: 25: 19+4+1(additional +1 from guidance)
(Ooc: Walt will share all the information he gleaned from additional perception check on the hand as well as the state of the window on the north side of the house)
On hearing Walt's description of what he found, Tuuli goes a pale shade of sky blue. But her brows furrow in anger. "Oh, that's it. I've had enough. Let's move them to the dining room and get downstairs." She marches in to the dining room, leaving the hallway door open...
Her plan is to rile them up to come at her, whereupon she will use her superior speed and/or evasion (read: Cunning Action to Disengage or Dash) to escape. If at any point in what she tries, they come at her, she will run into the hallway and shut the dining room door behind her. Here is what she tries.
Other party members are welcome to interrupt her, though she proceeds to steps 1 and 2 pretty quickly, so they are most likely to get to her while she casts about for a hand to throw.
1. She will open the door to the kitchen from the dining room and bang on the threshold 2. She will shove them about with gusts of wind... 2. She will throw something at them (like a dead hand, or a chair, or something)... 3. She will throw dagger at the furthest one, so it would have to move through the others (and maybe wake them up) to get to her: 24 to hit for 7 piercing damage... 4. If they still don't come for her, she will shrug and return to the others, looking for an area of effect spell or something
Walt will step into the hallway and peep into the kitchen door watching for the farmers reaction to Tuuli’s actions.
IF anyof the farmers DON’T follow Tuuli and instead rush out into the hallway towards Walt he will do the following:
He will turn around and run out the door towards the patio and make two hard right turns moving towards the window on the north side of the house. All while screaming “ahh! They’re after me!”
He will step up onto a crate and attempt to jump through the kitchen window. Acrobatics check: 7 (ooc: ouch!)
IF Tuuli succeeds in riling them up and they follow her into the dining room as planned, Walt will do the following:
He will wait for Tuuli to run out of the south facing dining room door.
He will ready the action to cast entangle on the space immediately outside the south facing dining room door attempting to restrain and/or slow down the farmers. The trigger for the readied action is any farmer stepping into the hallway from the south facing dining room door. Strength save DC13 or be restrained.
He will then run into the kitchen.

Before Tuuli leaves, Baldar whispers to her: "Based on what happened with Lucky, I think you'll only get a response once you hurt them, so be ready." She then turns to Walt: "If they all follow Tuuli, get ready to go in the kitchen and close that door to the dining room and bar it. Maybe Bedrak can help you. I'll get the door between the dining room and the hallway."
Baldar goes to one of the other rooms and grabs a chair. She then positions herself at the dining room/hallway door (right hand side), placing the chair beside her. She plans to use the chair to close and bar the door once Tuuli comes through, hopefully barring the farmers from following without Walt needing to cast his spell.

Walt examines the hand. It is somewhat mummified and sun-darkened; this is not a fresh scene. It is not unlike some of the hands that have attacked you. Scanning the exterior of the house, the ground, and the horizon, Walt sees nothing but dead crops and a few distant crows. No tracks, no immediate threats. He circles the house and rejoins the others.
Tuuli marches into the dining room and, moving part of the furniture barricade out of the way, begins to cause a ruckus. Banging on the threshold doesn't seem to phase them, but then she calls forth a sudden arcane blast of wind at the nearest farmer. Strength check: 6

Bendrak follows into the kitchen if the farmers move to the dining room, and begins wedging the door shut behind them with whatever scrap wood he can find, moving the table in front of it, whatever is handy.

Two of the farmers – a burly guy with a knife and the man with the scratched leg – immediately go for Tuuli. (Heading east into dining room.)
The third – the scrawny teenager who was shoved by the wind – seems disoriented and goes south after Walt instead. They are faster than they look.
Farmer Initiative:2
But before we start regular initiative (starting with Bendrak), I'll allow everyone's readied actions, first: • Tuuli will run south into the hallway (how far?) • Walt will... which will Walt do? (They were both triggered!) • Baldar will try to barricade the hallway door to the dining room with a chair. • Bendrak will...? (Barricade two farmers out?)
