Lore fingers the beads around his neck, looking uncertain. He sighs and glances at cat. "There's only two left. Let's try the old fashioned way, eh?"
Turning to the nimblewright, his voice takes on a silky tone that is hard to resist. "Rather than fighting, why don't we talk this over and see if we can come to an arrangement of some kind, eh?"
As he says this, Kess flies to one side and disappears but keeps moving.
DC: 15 WIS save or follow the suggestion UNLESS someone hurts it.
Kess's held action is to attack the Nimblewright again if the fight continues. (( Attack 16; Damage 1; DC 15 poison save if hit ))
The nimblewright twitches, and stops. it retains it's fighthing composture, but it does not attack the group . . . yet. apparently it is following lore's command
Cat frowns while tilting her head, "Okay... Maybe I went about this wrong." she says quietly out loud, lowering her hands, nursing her wounds. Mentally says to the group "You know it has to go back to the house of inspired hands right? Where it'll be destroyed. It's killed a lot of people."
Despite all the assurances, Drux still looked skeptical and kept a hand hovering at his waist, ready to snatch and fling a weapon at a moment's notice. His posture too would be open opinion on the matter. But given Cat's warning and even seeing the construct in action, even the dragonborn felt a touch wary about further engaging as well; especially with fireballs maybe, possibly still on the table!

the construct looked at lore, tilting it's head. Apparently, just like Nim, it cannot speak. it looks away, in the direction of makeshift graves it was making, with an unclear expression in his mettalic face.
'I'm going to see if I can get a better look a little grave he was making. Keep him... them occupied' Drux warily relaxed his posture, and then when the others appear to have more thoroughly obtained the nimblewright's attention, tries to subtle maneuver around the construct just to get a better look at the grave the nimblewright had been working on up to then, hoping to spy something of interest in it.

Drux frowned and even flinched a little at the sight. However, whatever look of sympathy touches his face soon fades as he again thinks back to the incident that drew the parties attention in the first place... as well as of his own past too. But if only for the sake of whatever plan was to come next, he'd quickly bury any feeling behind a stony expression, and would just watch the construct from then on closely and a hand hovering more closely to a weapon.

he slowly moves his hands "The ones killed in the blast. I follow orders, but that does not mean i have to like them. My master told me to kill anyone trying to recover the stone- I am only not attacking because of the spell."
Cat relays the information mentally to the group as she gets it, with a mentally added "Don't say anything to tip it off, we may be able to get it, to lead us to the stone" then asks the other"That's sad, but who's your master? Where can we find your master? How did he become your master? I thought you left Nim to be on your own." as she asks, she realizes that, 'the other' as Nim called it, may want to kill them, just for the want of the stone of Galorr. With a thought that, perhaps she should talk to her harper buddy, Renaer, when she sees him.

Lore thinks back to Cat, "It can think, act and plan. Perhaps it can be reasoned with."
"Quite a mess you made back in town," he says in a light tone. "Perhaps as a first step you could tell us what made you do that?" he asks.
Piers says quickly mentally "Better hurry if we are about to negotiate..I aint sure it ll remain friendly.I will be ready if something goes wrong."

Cat looks at the nimblewright, remembering the gestures of Nim, she says aloud while using thieves cant "Can you understand, thieves hand talk?"

"Hmm." Lore stares at the creature for a time, "Can you read or write?" he asks, moving one hand as though writing on the other.
Piers is still on alert despite the fact there is no hostility ..He keeps a distance and tells mentally everyone "I Don't like it..better to be ready"
it tilts his head, recognizing the gestures cat was making, and gives a thumbs up. He also nods at lore's question, he can read and write.
As drux looks at the graves, he notices that they have no names, but they do have a few makeshift statues on them, as if to mourn someone
"Who were they?" she says in both thieves cant and aloud, as she points to the graves.

Piers wonders if that creature is misunderstood like Nim.Now waiting in silence expects the situation to be solved without bloodshed
