Faera moves on and checks out the next room, just peers in.
From the doorway you can see immediately opposite you a long wooden table, some old knives scattered at the end to your right, as well as an empty fireplace on the far wall. A metal cooking pot, a spit, and other cooking implements are close to the cold hearth. The room continues round to the right, out of view from the door.
Mala leaves the apparently wine-stained room alone and follows Faera to the next. Seeing the room continue around, she steps inside moving to where she might see the rest of the room. She tries to be wary for anything that might spring to life here. (Perception: 18)
While the others move on, Ghurr does nose around in the room no one searched yet; the one with the casks, looking behind casks, and moving anything movable around.

Thurodim, looking past Mala, who has entered the room, you see the knives on the table shivering ever so slightly. Mala, you don't see that, but you do see them start to rise from the table, spinning and turning in the air. The feeling of danger which seems to come from some outside source, not just your internal sense of danger, thrums in your heart and head.
Mala, as the knives spin rapidly through the air towards you, you get the first move. How do you react?
Ghurr, in the other room, it's difficult to avoid the red stain on the floor, it spreads so far. After your first step you quickly realise your foot is stuck. I need a DC 15 STR check to break free.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Your foot remains stuck fast. Not only that but, although the wine stain can only be as deep as the residue left after evaporation, you feel yourself start to get drawn into it. You are pulled 4 feet into the millimetres thick spill.
Seeing the knives in the air, Mala looks if there is a large pan she can grab as she retreats quickly for the door she entered in. (Assuming she can grab a pan or maybe a pot, she would use it to try to knock away any knife that might fly at her.)
Ghurr, a look of deep curiosity on his face, begins humming a tune to himself as the quickly threads his rope through and attaches it to his grappling hook. He then throws the hook to catch around the door jam, calling a warning out to anyone near by as he does.
"Grappling hook in the air," Ghurr calls.
He gives it a couple of tugs to see if it will hold his weight and then uses it to give himself extra leverage to pull away from the sticky-deeper-than-it-looks stain on the floor.
Rolls:
Athletics if needed to anchor the grappling hook: 10
Strength Check to pull himself out: 20
+3 if the second check would take use Athletics instead of just Strength since he's essentially climbing out now.

I'll say there are pots and pans hanging around the corner opposite the fireplace. You are able to grab one large pan and wield it, swinging it at the knives as they begin to swarm about you, attempting to slice you like meat, like a vegetable.
You knock a knife as it spins through the air, but don't seem to have actually done much damage. It pinwheels and returns to the swarm. Your swiping is enough to keep them at bay for now, but they still whirr around your head.

Ghurr calmly puts together his grapple and it flies through the air, hooking onto the lintel above the door. Your muscles are taut as you heave yourself free of this strange hazard. The lintel creaks ominously, and you see it start to pull away from the wall, a little more with each tug on the rope... But you make it out.
Standing by the door again, now free, the lintel clatters to the ground next to you. A smudge in the stain on the floor where your foot had been smoothes itself, and it again looks just like an old wine spill, long dried up.
Ghurr do you wear shoes/boots or are you barefoot/paw?

Seeing Mala fight off the animated kitchen knives swarming about her, Thurodim roars with anger over all the insidious magic of this tower and swings Skullcleaver to knock them away.
Action: Attack twice with Skullcleaver, attacking recklessly and -5 to attack and +10 to damage, all included in rolls.
Faera is a bit stunned as she sees the knives attacking Mala, but she unsheathes her rapier, casting green-flame blade, she attacks one of the knives and the green fire leaps from her blade to attack another knife.
Attack: 15 Damage: 6
and if that hits, the damage to the second knife: 9 fire damage
Yes she did, we'll go Faera - Thurodim then. Although given your rolls it's something of a moot point!
Flick flick flick, Faera's rapier darts in and out, the green fire passing to the knives as metal connects with metal. Mala feels the passage of the rapier in the air around her head, as knives fall to the floor around her, handles charred, blades burnished and pocked. Quickly just one blade remains, turning in the air like a sycamore seed in a strong wind, until Thurodim lunges in with a roar. The knife shatters under the blade of Skullcleaver, the old iron clattering to the tiles of the kitchen.
Gotcha. It is not moving, in fact is barely a puddle. It is more like residue, a thick stain on the floor.

Ghurr frowns down at the very stick red stain that appears to be gripping his foot.
"Are you alive, stain?" Ghurr asks as he pulls back on his leg, trying to break the hold.
