Overhearing the conversation, the figure approaches once again. “I know what may have happened to your friend. He went by the name Vex, you say? Well, his real name is Belin Kyant. I was here in town last night, to see a tall figure with a tail being dragged on the floor towards a carriage, followed by gear that looked like it belonged to them. After the stuff was loaded, the carriage went in the direction of the capital. He did not want to leave, but did not have a choice.
Gwen begins to turn red at Drezmir's usual social antics. With the crowd even of her own peers she couldn't help but chuckle nervously as a few crowd members whistled and hollared. She had full on laughed when Drezmir remained kneeling instead of standing. Humble and awkward all the things she had honestly loved about Drezmir though she dared not say a thing. Gwen had playfully punched Drezmir on his arm.
"Goof, you coulda stood up! Heh.. I'm gonna honestly miss you guys. Oh and in the gold pouch is a sending stone.. The sun will charge it and you'll only be able to use it so often a day but.. You can keep in contact with me if you all desire so."
She looked to Drezmir with another light blush before standing up and offering him a hand up.
"You're already plenty worthy.. To me and to all of us here in Glazing Winds."
Gwen looks to Jess and leans over to offer her a hug as well.
"Thank you Jess, don't forget to drop by at Cobbles for everything before you guys head off!"
As they talked of Vex Kristoph came out running huffing and breathing.
"V-Vex his room.. He didn't clean it out... I'm almost sure.. He was taken in the night! He had to have been.. There was signs of a struggle and a clean up!"
Gwen looked to Kristoph a bit surprised.
"He did say he was a criminal before.. Perhaps his past had caught up with him? I... I see."
“I doubt my name is important for the time being. And it is too difficult to pronounce. I am a wanderer, and have found information about most of the peculiar people, like your friend Vex. And yes, he was taken. What you said about his past catching up to him could be true as well, as he walked out on his employer a few weeks ago. And from what I heard about his employer, he does not take nicely to that. I may be able to accompany you on your journey.”
Kocino thanks Gwen and gives her a bow before letting the others receive their gifts.
He gives a confused look to Kristoph, which grows more confused as the unnamed person speaks up. “Why would you watch him be taken and not do anything? And why join our group, if that’s what we are. We don’t know that we are even sticking together yet.”
“Why did I not stop it? Play the bagpipes and magically make them all die? And it is a crime boss we are looking at! Why would I play the bagpipes at the equivalent of the mafia to try and kill them? No, that is preposterous! Only a fool would do such a thing! And I can help you locate Vex again. That is one of the reasons, strange Shadar-Kai!”
You didn't actually add the armor to my items, I need to go see copper?
How much is the gold split between us.. Does the new character split, does Amon?
Gilded brings Amon down with him in the morning, he is no longer bound, but he still doesn't have his sword. He listens to all of the conversations before Gwen shows up but says nothing.
When Gwen invites him to be a knight he quickly drops to his knees but doesn't immediately allow her to give him his parchment. "Unfortunately, I can not pledge my service to the town of Glazing winds until I know who will be the leader here. Unfortunately, Iroas would not allow me to serve one such as Simon, and Commander Rein is unknown to me.
It would however, be an honor to pledge myself to you Gwen, you have proven to be honorable and Just in both your words and actions. I accept this knighthood in your name alone. I shall represent you and stand with honor as I do so."
With that, Gilded will stand up and salute Gwen. "Thank you for your gifts, I will wear the honor and the title as well as I can."
As the others start talking, Corvus walks a short distance away from the group. He stays close enough to hear what they are talking about, but far enough to be able to tune them out if needed. Leaning against a building, he opens his new tome and starts reading it. Every so often he glances up at the group. Why did this masked man want to join their party? How did he know so much about Vex? There was no way for him to learn that much from just watching him be dragged off. Kocino is right. Is this group even sticking together? If it splits, which would be the best to travel with? Probably whichever group Gilded wasn't a part of, especially since it looks like he's made friends with the pesky fly.
Even with all these thoughts racing through his head, Corvus is able to concentrate on reading his tome. As he does so, he can feel himself become stronger. Once satisfied, he closes the book and places it in his satchel, though he makes sure to keep the orb easily accessible. After this, he begins watching the group again.
Drezmir rubs his arm a little where Gwen punched him, "Hey, no one told me to. How was I supposed to know?" He laughs, then opens the bag to find the sending stone, "If no one has any objections, I'll hang onto this." He smiles, "I was expecting to have to wait longer to get one of these."
Once on his feet, he hesitates before awkwardly giving her a hug. ...he'd never done that before, it had always been her initiating the gesture. But perhaps he was learning how to express his friendship. "Even though we must leave... I look forward to the day I can return." After letting her go, he feels rather embarrassed, but he does his best not to show it. "Have you drawn the Dawnblade yet? Perhaps I can stay long enough to see that."
He looks to his friends, "Unless...the rest of you want to hurry up and head out? We are going to the capitol right? Or...do you wish to part ways as well?"
A somber look crosses his face when he hears of Vex being dragged off. It might be destiny that took him...but it wasn't a destiny he envied. He can only hope that the Dragonborn can find a way to free himself from whatever ties he has to this criminal group. He looks to the newcomer, "I think we need a name from you. How can you expect us to consider letting you travel with us if we don't even know who you are? And...even if you say trying to stop those criminals from taking Vex would have been foolish, you could have at least woken someone up. If you had sounded any sort of alarm, all of us would have gone to his aid. Yet you sat by and watched him be taken." He lets out a breath, "And as my friend here stated, we don't even know if we are all departing together. I intend to head to the capitol, but..."he looks to his comrades, "We all have our own paths to follow, so if you wish to part ways I understand."
“If you don’t give us a name then we can give you a name.”
“As for staying together, I’m for it. I suspect the investigations ahead will be even more challenging than what we’ve already encountered, and only together would we be able to meet those challenges.”
Gwen looks to Gilded as the other's worry about the unnamed stranger, though she too is suspicious of the stranger.
"I will lead here Gilded, if that is okay. I will attempt to draw the Dawnblade and take my place here but.. If I am not found worthy that could be the end of my journey. Is this answer satisfactory dear friend?
She smiles a bit worried that Gilded may protest her trying to use the Dawnblade to aid her people. She smiles brightly as he tells her he would be glad to be a knight under her. She couldn't help but hug the big guy all rules of engagement be damned. She smiles as she salutes Gilded back.
"When you get that plate finished at the capital.. I hope my old metal serves you well as it did me."
Simon looks to Drezmir and smiles as he grabs the stone, chucklng when he brings up the fact no one told him.
"Well.. We may have had to wait longer but Simon had it covered surprisingly. After you brought it up last night after all.
Gwen raises her eyebrows as he hugs her in surprise but smiles as she holds him tightly into her embrace. Her cheeks as red as the Alba deserts themselves.
"I look forward to the day you return as well as for the blade.. I may draw it after you leave. If I were to perish somehow in doing so.. I don't want that on you're mind at the beginning of you're journey. I know you'll figure out eventually if I were too but... I don't want to distract you all from you're goal."
Gwen looks to Drezmir and back to the stranger for a moment.
"Drezmir's right, we'd have aided Vex, his past be damned he was a good man. Tell us.. Why would you help them find Vex? Who were you to him?"
Gwen grows a little worried when they talk of splitting up but.. She understands if they do. They may split into two groups or perhaps three who knows or maybe they'll all stick together only time would tell.

Before really starting the day, Amon takes some time out of the morning to pray. Soon Illudo... I promise I'll do something soon. He sits in the corner of the room for a long time, kneeling, and then he follows Gilded out of the room.
Generally unsure of what to do, the fairy stays near the back of the tavern, eyeing the stranger and the celebration. He does not make a comment on Vex's disappearance. He does not make a comment on splitting up. Not that I care. I'll probably end up going with that Paladin anyways. It seems very apparent that Amon is thinking; despite his complete silence, he continues making gestures and different facial expressions seemingly at random. If I can get my rapier back, I'm all set.

Drezmir looks a little sad when she says she'll wait until after they leave to try drawing the blade, but he does his best to smile instead, "You'll be fine. Besides, if you die, who'll answer when I use the sending stone?" He isn't sure if the joke was appropriate or not, but it's out of his mouth before he can stop himself. Shaking his head he says, "Seriously though, you'll be fine. I believe in you."
Then he looks to the stranger expectantly, "Well, what have you to say?"
He also waits for his other companions to confirm whether or not they want to continue on together. He's glad that Jess is in on that idea, and hopes that everyone else is as well.
Gwen looks to Drezmir blinking for a moment before letting out a small giggle rolling her eyes playfully.
"On that note if I don't answer right away don't presume I'm dead just yet. When my father drew the blade even successfully it drained him completely he slept for almost two full days. So I could be wiped out for awhile.. My father was considered great even for a Dawnblade so I can say how long I may be wiped out myself honestly."
Drez,Gilded,Jess seem all bent on staying together though Gwen is coming she can't help but smile.
If you guys head to the capital together I'll study the forest.. After I draw the Dawn Blade I mean. It's near Glazing Winds after all so it shouldn't interrupt my duties here. It's.. Kinda hard imagining you guys splitting up now after everything ya know?
Jess is going to unashamedly (perhaps oblivious to whatever social norms she may be trodding on) suggest she be in communication with Gwen through the sending stone to help design experiments for the forest.
Drezmir laughs, "Alright, I'll wait a while before trying to use the stone."
He nods when she mentions that it would be hard to believe if they split up, "Yes, I'm glad it seems like most of us want to stick together." He looks to Kocino and Corvus, "What about you two? You up for coming to the capitol."
He blinks when Jess suggests that she can use the sending stone too, "Oh, of course. I just...figured I'd be the one to carry it if that's okay. Anyone is welcome to use it. ...and, I think might be of use in helping design those experiments as well...I've, kind of done similar experiments before with my own powers..." He trails off a little, remembering everyone's reaction when he'd raised the giant from the dead.
"I've nothing better to do." Corvus replies. "Perhaps the capitol can lend me some information." He doesn't elaborate on this statement, instead he waits for the others to make plans.

Also, would it be too much to ask if the studded leather were made with bone rather than metal?
