Juzi regarded the pseudo dragon as most likely being a non-threat at this moment. The others had seen it, so he let it be. Besides, everyone had seemed to be quite kind since none moved to attack him. With permission granted, excitement, fear and hope swelled up in him. He rose to his full height swiftly and pointed again at his chest with his thumb.

"Yes! Juzi protect BIG!"

Glancing around at everyone, Juzi gave a look of earnest gratitude. His eyes glistened briefly, and then it was over. He sniffed and looked serious and composed resolve. As he moved away, however, he gave Drezmir a puzzled look. Like there was something he just couldn't believe. Then quickly he scampered back to where the two men still lay unconscious. He then picked up an oddly fine shield that didn't match his other "clothing" at all. Under his breath he said to himself "Sword and Man AND Ship!?" He shuddered. "Must be Big, Big Baddy!" He then turned to join the rest of the group.

Drezmir, unsure of what to make of Jess's response to Juzi, decides not to remark on it. He notices the elf's puzzled look as well, but doesn't question it. 

When the sending stone begins to glow, Drez eagerly pulls it from his pouch. Though he hesitates just a moment before answering it. Shaking his head, he gives the stone a squeeze to initiate the conversation, "Um... I've never used one of these before..." He pauses, hoping whoever was on the other end hadn't heard that remark. "Hello?"

As they approach the Capitol, Jess will ask,

"So, Juzi, what is your father's name?"

She will also bring up with the rest of the group, by way of rehashing and reminding, the topic of exactly what they're hoping to accomplish while at the Capitol.

Corvus raises an eyebrow at Kocino's pan. Well, at least someone somewhat understands him. Noticing his familiar poking around at the elf he says in a sharp voice. "CROW." At that the little dragon looks at him with a bit of an annoyed expression, but flies back up to his shoulder nonetheless.

There is a moment of silence as they approach the massive capital of dawn city. Before a warm and rather familiar voice could be heard through the stone.

"Drezmir! Is that you? Are the others with you? Heh, I apologize for the delay but I was out of commission for a bit. I am able to use the blade now it would seem but I do not have full control of it yet. Also do you all know of an Arthur Chevalier? He and his group had entered the town, they asked me many questions. They even asked Simon in his cell many questions of the arcane. That Kirai fellow is a bit.. Pushy but Arthur says you all are friends? They've actually insisted on investigating the forest. I'll be coming with them just in case. Heh.. Here I am getting straight to business huh? How are you doing? I-I mean.. How are you all doing?"

I'm guessing the party has stopped a moment to talk and such but once you guys get to the gate two guards will stop you. 

"Halt state you're business!" 

With spears drawn and rather cautious expressions upon them both.

"Gwen! Yes, its me. All of us are here," Drezmir gives a light chuckle before continuing, "Don't apologize, you warned me ahead of time remember?" He hesitates, wondering if it would be a good idea to bring up the...unexpected conversation he'd had after the fight with the dragons, but decides against it. "Congratulations, I knew you would be able to use the blade! I'm sure you'll master it in no time. And, yeah we know Arthur. Did he tell you about the dragons? We met him and his group on the road, and...well it seems that their goals partially align with ours. They are hunting a woman who I'm pretty sure is somehow tied into the Awakening and the Blushing Bloom." 

He chuckles, "We are all doing well. How about you? I mean...now that you've recovered." He holds the rock out so that anyone who wants to say something can pipe in if they choose. "We've just about reached the capitol. ...Oh so you are investigating the woods? Well I'm glad to hear you will have help! Kirai is...well you've met him. But they are all good people." He hesitates, "...How is Simon doing? I told Arthur that he should speak to him if he could, since well...Simon's had firsthand experience with what we are dealing with. But I know he was having difficulty remembering. Was he able to give them any information they could use?"

Before they reach the guards Jess wanted to refresh her own memory as well as the group's about the Vintsvent family, that Simon had a key with their emblem, and papers suggesting a Vintsvent was encouraging Simon to undergo a dark transformation. The party should probably come up with an innocuous reason to seek out the Vintsvent family in order to make contact with them and see if they can sense anything unusual.

Before hearing Jess, and her question, Juzi had seen the stranger approaching. He grew intent on the individual and intentionally did not answer her. He had decided that he should stay in reserve to let these people do as they need to do until he felt he could be of some help to them.

Jess's interest in Juzi intensifies lol

Almost the entire trip, Amon has been hanging back a ways away from the party. It's clear he's very embarrassed about the little... scene he made while fighting the dragon beforehand. So much so he hasn't even prodded Corvus about anything yet. He notes the newcomer, slightly amused by the fact that these idiots really did just accept whoever wanted to tag along, very few questions asked. At least very few of the important ones like, "Are you a wanted criminal?" "Would you kill someone with no good reason to?" "Would you stab someone unprompted?" and "Are you lying?"

Though he starts to warm up just looking at Corvus' reaction to the new elf's peculiar manner. Once a grumpy old bird, always a grumpy old bird. And soon enough he's in much higher spirits as they reach the castle, but not enough to say anything about it. He still hangs back a good 30 feet from the group.

(Sounds good, I'm waiting until the conversation with Gwen is over until I have Corvus do anything with the guards. (Unless of course someone tries to interact with him first.))

"Ahh Arthur did tell me about the dragons! He told me you had managed to land a killing blow on one such dragon! He's rather eager to spar against me with the dawn blade as to.. Prove himself? I am confused by his antics but he seems well intentioned. Ahh, a woman tied to the awakening and the rose.. I see. I'm glad you seem certain I will master it! It's.. Tricky and I'm unsure if I will but I am grateful for you're faith in I."

"I am doing well, and if we find out much the woods I shall let you all know. Hello friends! You are all missed greatly! Kirai is.. Stand offish to be sure, Robin talks to him easier than I. Simon's memory is suffering issues still but Arthur has quickly made friends with him. Kirai's questioning was rather harsh, the one with white hair.. Rex? He is quiet and Merlyn is interested greatly in Simon's research. Arthur even suggested that Simon travel with us, his arcane power is greatly reduced. However he is still a talented mage but.. It's hard to let him go after all that happened. I want him to redeem himself but.. His crimes were rather grave."

Also the party is free to approach the gates/guards whenever! Or interact with Gwen's sending stone of course! However the guards now notice the party down the road from a distance and are growing more curious of them! 

Drezmir hesitates, remembering the blow he'd dealt to the dragon. Sure, he'd killed it but Fox was the one who'd done the most damage. After a moment he says, "He told you that did he? Heh...well I had help. So I won't take all the glory." He gives a chuckle, "When we met Arthur he was going on about fighting a dragon. I guess after meeting that goal he's eager to face a stronger opponent." He pauses, remembering the questions that the young knight had asked upon finding out that he knew Gwen. He smiles and says, "It sounds like we both have our work cut out for us. You with the Dawn Blade, and me with...the kitsune's blood. Heh, I'm sure you'll have your powers mastered long before I've mastered mine. But, like Arthur would say, 'We could make a contest of it!'." He laughs, his face going distant for a moment as his mind wanders to the power that he isn't sure is his or not. 

After a moment he continues, "Thats good to hear. Heh, seems like Arthur can make friends with everyone. I hope Kirai wasn't to harsh, but at least he's willing to talk to Robin. ...Speaking of Robin how is he? Oh, and Rex might be quiet, but he did take the time to shove a healing potion down my throat after that...woman tried to incinerate me." He chuckles, "I swear, if another magic user casts that spell at me again..." He shakes his head, "Anyways, Its good to hear everything is going well." He pauses, glancing at Jess when Gwen mentions the idea of Simon traveling with Gwen's group. After a moment he says slowly, "Well, I must agree that his crimes were grave. But, as long as he shows a deep desire to redeem himself, I firmly believe that he should be given that chance. I believe in redemption. If he doesn't seem a threat, then it could be good for him to put his powers to good use. However, I cannot make that decision. It is ultimately up to you, as the leader of Glazing Winds." 

Corvus stands a bit away from the group and doesn't say anything to Gwen. He is clearly annoyed that they had to stop to have this conversation.

Sy stands near the back, parallel to Corvus, looking forth at what has arisen. (Do we have a long rest in between?)

After a moment of waiting, Corvus rolls his eyes and walks up to the guards. "I for one, am here to continue my research. Though my companions have other business to conduct here as well, but I assure you, we are no threat to this city. In fact, it may be in your favor to let us pass. We are the ones who aided Glazing Winds after all."

Persuasion: 18

Jess accompanies Corvus and suppresses the urge to show a physical sign of irritation that Corvus would say that out loud. The party may well have an enemy in this city, given that certain plans were thwarted.

Oh well, she thinks to herself, perhaps one way to find a hidden serpent is to lure it out into the open. I’d rather not use ourselves as bait though…
