“I have some healing abilities with my magic, which is unfortunately spent today, and anyway it’s best used in emergency situations, as it doesn’t really do anything that Gilded can’t do for himself with a little rest, just faster.”
“Seeking out Robin is a good idea. Gilded can rest up at the tavern with one or two others (I’d not want him to be alone) while the others try to find Robin. Going back to the blacksmith where we first encountered him may be a good starting place.”
“I’ll stay with Gilded, if someone else wants to keep us company that could be good, and the rest go and find Robin and/or the Jet brothers, and we’ll meet back here, form a plan and act against them in the morning.”
Gilded tells the group. "Thank you all for your help. With but a short rest, I could be back to excellent health, but unfortunately, Iroas requires I rest longer and meditate/pray before I get back my healing abilities. I believe we should have our spellcasters at full strength as well."
(OOC:I will assume the told me about their conversations while I tell them about mine.)
"This man has decided to change his ways I think, but must pay for his crimes. Could some of you please escort him (and talk to him more of Robin and the Jet brothers)Brothers. I could eat, drink and test and meet here at the tavern in 8 hours."
He checks the time. " it is around 3 pm, so by 11pm, if anyone wants to try a night raid, we could gather and make plans."
Kocino nods along with Gilded and Jess. “Go rest. It seemed like the smith knew Robin. I’ll go see if he can get Robin to come talk. Then we regroup at the tavern by 11.”
Gilded enters the tavern with Jess and Vex. He sits at the bar. "Sir may I have a Dragon ale and something with lots of meat in it? I would like a modest room to if you have one available."
"Do you guys think we are string enough for the brothers? We did pretty well with the goblins, I have a lot of confidence in our party."
“8 vs 2 should be an easy fight. And as it appears they have no way of countering magic, it won’t take long before they fall.” Vex reassures Gilded. He turns to the orc. “I’ll take the same type of room as Gilded is taking, if that is available.”
“I do not need to rest just yet,” says Corvus, “I will help find Robin.”
Corvus is not convinced that the bandit is going to change his ways, but he doesn’t comment on it. He will help escort him to the guards. As he does so, he asks, “You don’t happen to know where we might find Robin do you?”
He turns a side eye to Corvus while still bound. It seems he was being handed off to Corvus! His attitude slowly shifts from grateful to rather sour as he remains silent in Corvus's care.
"Are you sure you wanna take me to the guards? I just told you it was a few of them that hired me to kill you. They may kill me for failing, or send me with more men to do the job. I suppose if we get lucky he might not be corrupt. I only say anything for I owe you a debt sir Dragonborn."
@Smith
As the door swings open and the light sound of a bell goes off Cobble's eyes light up.
"Where's you're energetic Water Genasi friend? Well no matter! Come to buy a few weapons perhaps? Again I'm grateful for you handling those nasty goblins."
OOC: I'm sure Vex means 7v2 since Liara has let ^^
Also did everyone add their reward of 4 gold and 5 silver before? If not I can add it. I'll take the silver off for Gilded and Vex ^^
So is Kocino at the smith? Or just telling his friends he is going? Who is the smith team? Well I made a post for anyone entering the smith (If they do) just in case ^^
Jess takes another seat at the tavern bar. She’s trying to engage the orcish barkeep in conversation. But she’s also keeping an eye on the comings and goings of people.
Hearing the thief's comment, Corvus whips around to face him, eyes burning with anger. "Watch your tone with me." Corvus hisses at the prisoner. "I've been playing nice with you." Then he says to himself, "Why am I dealing with this?" Grabbing the prisoner, he pushes starts pushing him back to the tavern. If he can't take him to the guards, the Gwyn was probably the best option. Hopefully catching up with the dragonborn he will give the man back to Gilded. "Gilded, apparently we cannot take this one to the guards. He says they hired him to kill us, and we already know most of them are corrupt. Perhaps it would be best to simply take him to Gwyn. She probably knows which guards to take him to."
"I'll find the rest of you after I deal with this." He says to those who went to the blacksmith.
Pushing the prisoner into the tavern rather forcefully, he looks around for Gwyn.
(OOC: Yeah, I added my gold. Minus the two silver that Drezmir spent at the bar.)
Drezmir enters the smithy with Kocino, and remembers that Vex had told them the blacksmith would give each of them a free weapon...He glances at his longsword, then around the room...eh, he can always come back if his crossbow breaks sometime in the near future. For now, he doesn't really need any extra weight.
He gives the smith a smile before saying, "We are glad to be of use here. We are planning to take on the Jet brothers next, after a few of us get some well deserved rest." He pauses, "Vex told me you were willing to give us each a free weapon, so perhaps I'll have to take you up on that sometime. Though, I think I'm well enough off right now." He looks to Kocino, "Unless you want something?"
Turning back to the blacksmith, he says, "Truthfully, we came here on other business. We recently heard that that fellow, Robin, who was in hear earlier has had a couple scuffles with these Jet brothers. You seemed like you knew the fellow. Any idea if he would be interested in helping us take down those bandits?"
Gilded looks at the thief sadly. "Thank you for your patience Corvus, you may leave him here with me."
To the thief he says. " Do you have a death wish? Corvus, the warrior that you keep provoking, i beleive he could kill you in an instant? I saw him fight, and I wouldn't want to cross him."
Gilded looks at him, beaten down and defeated. "Are you hungry? I am going to untie one of your hands, if you try to run or do anything stupid, I will let my bird man friend work out his frustrations on you, do you understand?
To the orc barkeep. "Could you please bring this man something to eat and drink? No utensils please, he will eat with his free hand."
To Gwen. "Good lady, could you help us here? This man tried to rob me, he was unsuccessful and needs to face justice, but we do not want him killed?"
Vex was watching, keeping mental notes in his head, before reciting a prayer in Draconic quietly to his god. Translated, it would say: ”Fulgur, god of thunder, who smites all foes with light that burns even the sky, to the edge of the horizon and back, may you protect me and my comrades on our quest to bring peace to this realm. Give us the power and the strength to move on each day and night, through weather harsh and calm, through sun and moon. Wish us luck against our next adversaries, and figure out what has troubled these lands. Will all the respect I can give, your loyal servant, Belin.” After the prayer, Vex walks over to the rest of the group.
Kocino follows Drez into the shop and begins looking around. As Drez talks to Cobble, Kocino picks up a longsword. His normally shaking hands become still has he grips the sword. “At the very least, we would like to talk to him. Maybe get some information.
Corvus waits for some time before Gwen finally does return. She seems to have a pack across her shoulders. She see's Corvus with the tied man as do many others. Many patron's seem.. Uneasy with Corvus shoving this stranger around bound. Weapons close and hands close to the hilts. However Gwen seems to have faith in Corvus's reason for this despite his rough attitude with this man.
"Who is this man? Is there a reason you have him bound?"
The Barkeep talks with Jess a bit before looking to Corvus shoving the man around
"What's you're friend doing? He knows we don't allow for slavery around here yes?"
The thief scoffs when Corvus claims he'd been "playing nice"
"I don't think you know manners if it bit you in the arse bird man. And that's coming from a petty thief mate."
Gilded begins to lecture the thief on how dangerous provoking Corvus is. Though he doesn't seem exactly convinced or afraid for that matter.
"Unless you're telling me this mate's stronger than you? I'm not too worried, except for the fact I'm bounded and injured anyhow. But I owe you a debt so I won't cause you any problems."
The man smiles as Gilded allows him to eat and begins to dive in! Going right to town
"Ahh thank you sir Dragon Born! I can't believe it! Man I gotta pay you back somehow!!"
Gwen looks at Corvus than to Gilded and smiles softly
"Oooh okay, yeah I'll take him in. My unit will take him into custody. We don't kill for theft, instead they must make ammends with the offended and pay them back. With a reasonable level of interest if the offended wish. If not they must perform hard labor equal to what they stole. After that they are free to go, unless they have repeated offenses of course than it gets complicated. "
@Blacksmith
Cobble looks at Drezimir for a moment and nods.
"Aye, I've known Robin since he was a wee lad. He's quite the shot he is! His father was in the "Shadow Light" war ya know, but that's the ramblings of an old man. Between you and me? He's given me money under the table to help run this place. He's saved my ass from the Jet Brothers goons too so I'm sure he'd be willing to work it out. Except.. He doesn't trust outsiders, account to a few outsiders trying to kill him before. Simon's been looking for him, I know why Simon might.. He is a thief but.. He's trying to help us just like Simon. Maybe I shouldn't except money from Robin if I'm supporting Lord Simon.. It's a tough situation huh? If you want to find Robin? Well... I know his next mark. He's never liked Simon much you see, so he plans to steal from his sister today. He's sure Gwyn being a noble will have money. I only say something cause you've helped me too. Just.. Don't kill him okay?"
OOC: The Blacksmith only was giving ONE weapon for the reward. Not one EACH so only one for the group sorry ^^
"Think what you like filth," Corvus snaps at the thief, "Luckily for you, I don't feel the need to test my power at the moment" Voice a bit strained from annoyance, he turns to Gwyn."Thank you Gwyn. Now that this has been taken care of, I will join in the search for Robin." His red eyes fix the thief in a burning stare for a moment, before he turns around and calmly walks out the door. Once he exits the tavern, he will fly up above the rooftops and make his way to the blacksmith, where his companions had said they were going.

Gilded finishes his meal. "Thank you Gwen, this man may turn out to be someone worthy someday."
He takes out the 2 shortswords that he took from the alley and tells Gwen. " He had these on him, do I keep them or do you need them, he tried to tell me they were magical to get me in the alley with him. I doubt they are."
Landing just in time to hear the last bit of the conversation, Corvus huffs, "Looks like I have to go back to that blasted tavern again. Do we know when he plans to strike?"

Gilded tells the group. "Thank you all for your help. With but a short rest, I could be back to excellent health, but unfortunately, Iroas requires I rest longer and meditate/pray before I get back my healing abilities. I believe we should have our spellcasters at full strength as well."
