Gilded looks at Sloden a little more closely now that he has spoken, 'That man looks awful pale to me' he thinks. "Are you fit for this adventure, while you seem very energetic, you look a bit pale if you don't mind me saying so. But if your up to it, I welcome you company as well".
He looks at his other companions before stating 'I am honored to be in the company of you all, this is a very strong group and I feel we have everything we would need to succeed. I agree with Sloden, I think checking out the Smithy would be wise, as he may know the best direction to go in first, and honestly, I can always use a good sword, dagger, or armor. I have had my eye on this really good plate mail. Its copper you see, and quite lovely.
Gilded stands and while chewing his jerky, starts toward the door behind Sloden... Looking for a blacksmith shop.
(sloden doesn't look like dracula, or anything. He looks ruddy and thick. Beneath the robe, maybe even thicc, but he looks pretty human. You'll see, he's got a whole deal)
"I find hard labor good for the soul, and never shy from it."
The group comes in to see a man with a bow already shopping! The black smith seems to be a tall Earth Genasi! In Leather armor with a pair of glasses. Scraggly hair to boot but he had some muscle on him indeed with a brown shine to his skin.
"Hail! The name's cobble a pleasure to meet you!"
He seems to have a pleasant smile but his guard appears to be up regardless. (His roll against insight) 8 "Come take a look around at my weapons! Love of the forge I have! Wish I had better tools to work with though." 511 (Sloden's insight roll which is +5 damn)
His shop seems to specialize in weapons only for there is no armor in his shop to be had. He does have daggers, longswords, longbows, shortbows, shortswords and many other weapons. He doesn't appear to have any magical weapons however. The archer passes by the group looking at the bows as he offers a slight wave toward them.
OOC: Gotta go I'll be back and may add to this unless this is okay ^^ Everyone roll perception for me please ^~^ (Everyone in the blacksmiths)
Jess has little interest in the metal implements here. She's much more interested in the blacksmith himself, another genasi! She also spares a few glances at the other shopper, wondering just what sort of person needs to be shopping for weapons.
Jess will march up to Cobble and introduce herself, "Hi, I'm Jess. I came here from Tristain. It's nice to see another genasi out doing good in the world. I have so many questions. Tell me, how have you been received by these townsfolk, do they shun you for your strange nature or have they accepted you?"
Gilded looks around the shop, not really in need of anything that he sees.. He walks closer behind Jess and Kocino and asks the BlackSmith "Do you have any shields?"
Drezmir looks around the smithy, quickly deciding that he is fine with the sword he has. Nothing here has the same sort of style as what he's accustomed to, nor the water-like designs on the blade that his sword has. Turning to the smith, he holds up the poster detailing the goblin quest.
"Can you give us any information about this good sir?"
The blacksmith nods at the question for sharpening knives.
"I'm afraid my craftsman tools are limited.. I only have enough for myself. I do have a whetstone wheel in front of the stone feel free to use that free of charge. I apologize as trade has been lacking of late."
Jess had come straight to Cobble asking to the heart of things. He blinked as he gave a rather quircky laugh. Sloden (with his insight) was able to see this man was.. Eccentric and perhaps a bit strange. Though he didn't really appear to be dangerous, a man with secrets but no more than most would hold close to their hearts. There is an air of sadness Sloden can see under his smile however.
"Haha, well Radiance is kind to my people. Sure a few close minded patrons have bothered me before but for the last few years all was well. I like it here but I'm afraid Glazing Winds is down on it's luck.. Well with Simon in charge things have gotten better. Four years ago I was out of business! We were even raided while down on our luck and many almost starved. Simon handled those bastards and I don't know he does it but.. Slowly our country is building up, I know we appear poor now but at least no one is starving. He even gave me the money needed to start back up! He was the first to accept me here. What of you sister of water? How do you like these lands? To leave the land of the waters? You must be home sick truly."
Gilded had asked him about shields he wrinkled his nose with a small sigh.
"Sadly that is Linda across the street. She may be a single mother but she specializes in shields and armor. She used to even make weapons but she won't anymore. I couldn't tell you why but good thing huh? Between you and me? She's a little.. Better at this than I. If she made weapons? I'd be out of business!"
Corvus is able to see a great admiration to this Simon character. He seemed to hesitate on Linda's story almost as if he was going to say more but decided not to.
Drezmir had asked about the quest he placed his hands on hips with a sigh.
"Truly..? You'd help me? This is no jest? Many have taken that job and none of returned. It's simply goblins yes? I feel something is wrong with the town. If you wish to know it is outside the town. The highway near the forest follow that for a few miles and you should find the camp. Do not actually enter the Lost Forest however.. Trust me it's earned it's name for good reason. "
(Anyone with a perception of 15 or higher which I believe is everyone!) Can see that the Archer is listening closely to.. All of this. He makes his way to the door. However not before he tries to abscond with some of Shilow's money. The problem being? Shilow was able to feel it and everyone in the room must have had sharp eyes because despite the earth genasi being blind to it? Everyone had noticed.
Gilded attacks the archer with an unarmed attack, he swings with a punch to the face. "How dare you try to steal from me. I smite thee in the name of IROAS"

(OOC: Not looking to kill him, but beat him and take him to jail.)
Jess turns a blind eye to the evolving scuffle (“Im sure they’ll be fine, and if not, perhaps I can patch them up”) as she jockeys for more of Cobble’s attention.
“Yes, it’s been very tough leaving my beautiful island beaches and coral forests. My mother raised me well and I had a good home there, and the beautiful natural world accepted me perfectly even when some of the simple-minded islanders there didn’t, so it was a difficult choice leaving such a comfortable place. But I felt it was important… Well anyway, I’m here to get more experience and knowledge, so I can better help and protect my islands, in the end.”
“So, which of your parents or ancestors was an elemental being, do you know? Have you had any contact with them? Have they shown any interest or affection towards you? Do you have some method of contacting or communicating with them? Is your skin as rock-hard as it looks? Do you get burned when you work your craft? (And on and on…)”
Corvus finds it interesting the the blacksmith seems to hold this Simon character in high regard. Gwen mentioned that Simon was the Chief of Glazing winds, had made it sound as if he was up to something. Simon clearly has a hold on the people of this town. It seems to Corvus, that this man is keeping the people dependent on him. Perhaps he is the one setting up the raids on the trade caravans. He keeps the goods and money, acts like it's a problem but keeps the guards from doing anything about it, then provides the people with just enough to make himself seem generous, and to keep them from leaving town.
This seems logical to Corvus, but he keeps his thoughts to himself. Getting involved in a political issue, was the last thing he wanted to do. The only thing keeping him from leaving, was the possibility of demons being involved.
Corvus does nothing when Gilded attacks the archer. The dragonborn seems to have things under control.
Drezmir gives Cobble a small bow, "Yes, we are at your service. I am beyond willing to help with the goblin issue. Dangerous quests are my calling, at least for now. I must become stronger if I am to face my true destiny, and seeking out such quests is my best option. Rest assured, we will take care of it." He speaks with perfect confidence. "The lost forest eh? Is it haunted? Or is it a curse that keeps hapless travelers stuck in a loop once they've entered its boundaries?"
Drezmir takes a step back as Gilded pummels the archer, "Ooh, man. You really should be more careful who you try to pick pocket." He shake his head in distain, "Can't say you didn't have that coming."
The archer had whipped around, at first it appeared to be whiplash but in an instant he reached for his bow drawing it out. He saw the numbers in room and had decided it was best to run off. What was to note however was he didn't appear to be very hurt. In fact for his poor job of stealing? He seemed to be covered in scars and held himself as a man with plenty of combat experience. Cobble yelled out.
"Robin wait! Damn fool.. I understand stealing from those nobles but.. Strangers? Idiot..."
He sighed rubbing his temples a bit before looking back to the group. Jess seemed to have a 101 questions it seemed. He chuckled a bit despite the robbery that almost had happened.
"Do you wish to know my ring size and how many children I have? The day I was born? I'm not sure which parent I was raised by the church at the capital, Dawn City. I heard my family loved me plenty but they had fought in the war when I was young back when we weren't on good terms with Germuid. That was many moons ago, my skins helps for crafting yes and I'd say it's hard enough lass. Good luck with you're goblin problem and if you chase Robin.. Please go easy on him."
She really didn't care about the robbery and that.. Surprised the Earth Genasi. He had nodded in her reasons for leaving. He said nothing but in his eyes something had resonated with her. The Earth Genasi had tilted his head upon the questions of the forest.
"Not sure.. No one who's gone in has come back out. I hear it wasn't always that bad for many years now it's been that way. Even before Simon's time here in town. Though he tells me he senses dark magic coming from the place. Oddly enough.. As close as the forest is? It leaves us well alone. Good luck on you're destiny lad."
As you watch the scuffle, another stranger enters. The hood of his linen cowl, and the coif of his mail shirt are thrown back to reveal the slightly pointed ears of a half-elf, with deep black hair and pale green eyes. Over his chain he wears a rough linen surcoat, and a white tabard embroidered with a yellow tongue of flame. A plain, leather belt is wrapped twice around his waist with a sheathed, long hilted sword with an wire bound hilt on his left hip, and a mace swinging from hook on his right. A pair of gauntlets are stuck into the front of his belt, and a white heater shield is slung across his back with the same flame emblem. The mail shirt reaches to his knees, and stiffened black leather boots with metal plates on the knee flap complete the outfit.
Not a single emotion shows on his face as he takes in the scene before him, taking up a stance with his feet apart and his hands lightly clasp in front of him. "If you are planning to battle the forces of chaos and evil, hereabouts, then my sword and shield are at your service," he says in a clear, but soft voice. "I am known as Gildaug, late of the Cloister of Swetle." he finishes with an inclination of his head.
Corvus takes note of the newcomer, but doesn't address him. Instead he says to no one in particular. "If we are going to do anything about these goblins, let's get on with it.
Jess blushes, which actually causes her cheeks to suffuse with a deeper blue-green color reminiscent of the ocean. She says to Cobble,
"Well, perhaps we can catch up more later if we're successful on this little mission of yours. I suspect that a few goblins will be no match for the likes of these big, beefy warriors." She inclines her head towards the others in the shop as she says this last bit.
Jess is ready to proceed. She will follow the others' lead.
